Chapter 36 Terran Council.

People all over the world cheered at this development and were happy that their planet was unified.

However there was still much to do and using this chance the world leaders started to work.

Their decisions had to be ratified by their governments and there were a thousand issues to solve but the first step was taken and many more followed.

One of which was proposed by Steuner .

Those caught collaborating with hostile aliens or betraying the earth would be executed without exception.

It was a drastic measure but the world leaders agreed that it was necessary.

Another one was a decision to proclaim the sol system as Terran Sovereign territory.

They spent a whole day deciding about the future and that day February 26 would go down in history as the unification day.

Also from that day forward the names of Simon Black,Mikael Fowler and Stauner would go down in history as the people who made it all happen.

Two days later there was another meeting but this time with the scientists and Steuner delivered a database for everyone to have access to, not only scientists and scholars but also ordinary people.

He himself was also an object of interest and he gladly shared tales of his people not missing the opportunity to ask the questions that nurtured him but neither Simon nor Mikael could answer so he spent almost three days discussing with the scientists and shocking them with his ability to learn.

Later on he received many invitations to prestigious colleges around the world to give lectures on his people and their ways and also to satisfy his own curiosity.

Also thanks to the science ship they shot down they were able to identify his home world that was not that far away.

In the coming days there were over a thousand databases all over the world and more was produced.

Within a week's time all of the countries ratified the establishment of the worlds government and the new governmental body was named Terran Council.

The moon base was almost complete at this time and after finishing it the plan was to start replicating the matter converters and building more fabricators.

The environmentalists were over the moon when they heard that as soon as they had the time and materials there was a plan to produce tens of thousands of drones to gather all the junk and waste around the world and recycle it into useful materials.

The regions that suffered from hunger had to endure for just a while longer to get rid of it once and for all.

There were a bunch of people that were not happy about coming changes but when they heard that there were also opportunities that they didn't even dream of in the coming days they settled down.

A month went by in the blink of an eye and humanity was already reaping the benefits from the database they were given.

The matter converters were being produced and used to produce nutrient bars and recycling the trash into materials needed to produce parts for devices such as generators and drones.

The moon base was ready and bigger than previously planned.

It was crewed by the ISS crew now,as for the station,it was dismantled by scraper drones who cleared out all the space debris around earth and used it as a material to build the moon base and some parts for bigger fabricators.

-Well you really did it kid.

Mikael said one day when they were resting in the moon base.

-I sometimes still don't believe that the world is now united and there are plans to build the first mars base in less than a year.

Simon said.

He found some time to go to Poland and see his family which made him happy.

-We managed to do what was thought impossible twice in a span of two years.

Mikael said smiling.

-We sure did but this is just a beginning and we have a lot more work ahead of us.

-That's true but if everything goes well then you might be able to go find Alesia sooner than we thought.

Mikael said with a chuckle when Simon blushed.

-I said already that i will go get her when we are ready to talk with her empire on equal grounds.

Simon said, holding the pendant on his neck.

-Well with our new shields and energy weapons you might be able to go and there is a good chance that no one will want to mess with you.

Steuner said from the couch taking a break from reading.

Lately the lizard man found a place for himself amongst the scientific community of humans and he was even awarded a honorary doctorate from three different schools.

He also received first Terran citizenship from the Terran Council.

-We still only have our three ships to defend the Sol system and I bet you anything that sooner or later there will be some pirate who wants to gain fame by destroying us.

-Actually i hope that they do, It would be a great change of pace for us.

Steuner said.

And a moment later they got an alert from their ships about five incoming vessels.

-Ask and ye shall receive.

Mikael said laughing and getting into his armor.

They only took five minutes to get to their ships and a minute later they were on their way.

-Whats the situation?

Asked the former Secretary General for the UN ,he was now a chairman of the Terran Council and his main duty was to retain order on the gatherings and he was also appointed a liaison for the fleet in times of emergencies.

-We have five ships incoming and they have progressed to Saturn so far,our scans indicate pirate ships configuration.

Mikael reported.

-If they are pirates then try to just disable them and then tow them back for studies and we would also like to have more ships to use.

The chairman said hoping to get more than just some pieces.

-We will try but with our new weapons that may be tricky.

Simon said not promising anything.

-No problem if you destroy them then we can still learn a lot from the wreckage.

The chairman said.

-We are getting into the weapons range.

Steuner said while powering up his weapon systems.

-Let's hail them first.

Mikael said.

-This is Captain Simon Black from Terran star ship Basilisk you have trespassed into Terran council space, state your intentions and affiliation.

Simon transmitted on open channel.

There was no response.

-Surrender your ships and planet or be destroyed.

That answer was enough to know what to do.

The aliens just saw their five cruisers against three of the Terran's and that was their mistake.

Terran ships opened fire with energy weapons and it had a devastating effect.

Before the enemy ships could even get into their weapons range they lost their shields and received moderate damage to their ships.

After three salvos from their new weapons it was all over three ships were dead in space and two remaining were trying to flee.

-Power down your ships or be destroyed.

Simon said on the opened channel and soon both fleeing ships powered down.
