1 Ch 1 Confinement

Junho

I wake up to the stench that prickled my nose. The air felt damp and smelled like rotten banana that had been in the lunchbox for 2 months. I felt half unconscious and my head was buzzing. My wrist felt sore, and I felt like I was dangling in mid air. I didn't dare to open my eyes or make a move because I did not want to alert the kidnappers that I was awake. This familiar smell…. It smells like rotten basement… "Clink.. clink clink." The sound of chains… I must be in an underground cell. How long have I been here for? Ray must be in volcano mode again… The thought of Ray being mad at her was far scarier to Junho then her current situation. As I was processing my thoughts I felt cold water slammed onto my face. "Cough Cough!! Hah…ha.. can't you wake me up more nicely" I said while glaring at the bodyguard. "You should be glad that we didn't strip you" said the guard while laughing. I should really thank them for that…Good thing I'm wearing a black shirt. "Lyn sir, he is fully awake to interrogate now" said the bodyguard who just splashed the water on her. So the big boss's name is Lyn…

"So why did you kidnap your hero my princess? What can I do for you?" I asked as I stretched my neck. When I pulled my head back up, a guy in front of me was sitting in a chair surrounded by his men on both sides. They all wore black except for the guy in the middle who wore a dark red suit. They all looked like they had hard faces and the middlemen's face was covered by the dark. I kept squinting my eyes because of the light that flashed me from above.

"Don't you think that I've compensated you more then enough for that incident. It ended as clean business. But I still have been nice to you by not torturing you right away" replied Lyn in a gentlemen voice while taking a sip of his glass of wine. He kept playing around with the wine glass in front of me which made me a bit dizzy. He then got up from his chair and slowly approached me. His black polished shoes made rhythmic footsteps as he came which build up the tension more. When he stopped in front of me, he held up the wine glass above my head and began to pour it. Red wine drizzled from my black hair to my chin then fell onto the cement ground drop by drop. My eyes stinged when it went past it but the smell of wine across my nose helped erase the stench a bit. I stuck out my tongue and wiped the wine around my mouth to get a taste which ticked the guy off in front of me. "Ack.." I choke. This bastard had suddenly gripped my neck and pulled me closer to him. His face came close to my left ear and spoke "how did you get that butterfly knife, its not something that the likes of you can easily get your hands on."

"Now that's a cringe villain line" I said while getting goosebumps. "I got it from the streets" I said in the sincerest way possible. After I finished my line, a sharp pain radiated from my right cheek. My world blanked for a sec and returned to normal. I could taste iron in my mouth and felt Iike I broke my jaw. This guy had suddenly punched me in the face after I gave the answer to his question. "I won't be able to talk if you break my jaw like th…. Kuh!" This time before I could finish the sentence he had uppercut my stomach. I couldn't breath for some time because he didn't finish with one blow. When he was done, he pulled my head up by my hair. I had trouble breathing and felt like vomiting from the extreme pain. "R u done with your nonsense now? I am a busy man…"said Lyn as he took a cigarette from one of the bodyguards as he continued to grip onto my hair. "Hah… hah…kakkk… poo" I spat onto his face. "I am busy too so I'm getting straight to the point you dumbass." All of the guards around him gasped in horror from what I just did, and the entire dark basement turned silent. Lyn wiped off the spit from his mouth and face with the back of his hand and his face turned dark. He glared down at me as if he could murder me with his eyes.

There was no way I could tell the truth about the butterfly knife… If I did, I was done for. I had to make something up and make it believable. "Like I said before... Hah... I picked it up from the streets... Let me finish my sentence... I bought it from a street vendor... He was selling random stuff and I just bought one cause it looked cool. End of story" said me while staring at Lyn's eye. I didn't avoid his gaze and looked straight into it so that I could brainwash myself first that what I said was the truth. My eyes didn't even waver for a bit and Lyn could almost believe that what I was saying was in fact the truth.

After their big boss left. I was beaten up for days and they put a headphone on me to prevent me from getting any sleep. Whenever I tried to doze off, they would splash the water on me or blast the music out loud. I began to hallucinate because I couldn't sleep, and I couldn't get a control over my thoughts. Then… everything went black…
