"Dong, dong, dong."
The sound of footsteps approached from afar.
Qi Yue pushed open the office door. After confirming that there was someone inside, he strode in, "You're finally back. This is your plan for training on the spot next week. You can take a look and see if there's anything wrong with it."
Shen Chengfeng flipped through the pages and finally stopped at the page with Xiao Jing on it.
Qi Yue followed his gaze and teased, "According to past rules, this time, the last player will be eliminated."
"Yes."
Qi Yue smiled. "I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to seeing if the captain will give this Xiao Jing some extra favors this time around."
"Bang!"
Shen Chengfeng closed the battle plan and looked at Qi Yue, his eyes burning.
Qi Yue coughed lightly and continued, "This time, I specifically selected five of the Special Forces' elites. I'm sure that in a few days, the training sessions will be brilliant."
"As you have planned, I will be going abroad in a few days."
Qi Yue frowned. "You have a mission?"
Shen Chengfeng nodded and tapped on the table with his fingertips, "Remember this, we want talent."
"Captain, don't worry. I am known for being honest and impartial. When you return, I will definitely hand you the perfect school report."
After leaving the office, Qi Yue hummed a small tune as he walked down the corridor.
Shen Chengfeng opened up the list of new recruits once again and his gaze fell on Xiao Jing's clean and white picture.
"This is your last chance."
The empty office could be heard with a needle.
Xiao Jing lay back on the bed, unable to fall asleep. She groped around the bed, sat up, and turned on the small lamp.
She took out the photo that she had placed under the pillow. The photo was rather old. It showed the military uniform of Marshal Xiao Yao with a stern expression on his face. He was also her father.
As a child, she had seen her father only a handful of times, as if he had always been in the army and came home once a year.
Her mother had let her carry pictures of his father all her life, probably because she was afraid that she would suddenly forget what his father looked like.
The man in the photo had resolute facial features, sword-shaped eyebrows, starry eyes, and a body full of righteousness.
"Is this what you call a duty, Father?"
"As long as the country needs me, no matter who I am or where I am, I will carry my bayonet and face the world together!"
There was no reply from the quiet room.
Xiao Jing stood up and faced the photo with her head held high. She raised her hand and saluted, "I will remember, the military uniform is on your body. I will not regret for the country, I will not regret for the people until I die!"
The hand that was about to knock on the door suddenly stopped. The moonlight quietly reflected off the door. The man didn't make a sound, but his mouth faintly curled up into a smile.
The next day, the sun shone brightly in the middle of the field.
Sweat dripped down everyone's faces as Qi Yue slowly walked past everyone, as if he was inspecting everyone.
Mu Xi Chi stood to the side with a smile on his face. He was looking forward to this demonstration on the field.
"It's been some time since the captain handed you guys over to me. It's time to check and see if you've made any progress in these past few days."
Qi Yue said.
Xiao Jing's heart skipped a beat. This was obviously telling them that they were going to play a family game. Hmm, it was very likely that they would lose some blood, get injured, get crippled, or something like that.
Heh heh, she won't die just because of this.
"Looks like everyone knows what to do."
Qi Yue scrutinized everyone and continued, "This is a personal battle. Other than completing your own tasks, you also need to be careful of the elite training I've arranged for you."
Mu Xi Chi took a step forward, his voice grand, "I promise to complete this mission."
Everyone looked at each other. Wasn't this deliberately setting a bug for them?
Not only did he need to complete the duties assigned by the instructor, he also needed to be on guard against any sneak attacks from the Special Forces.
"There are no objections, right? If there are no objections, I will give each of you a list of tasks. Remember, if you die in battle or do not complete the task, you will all fail. This time, you will be last, and you will leave immediately."
Qi Yue sent out the task list one by one.
Xiao Jing opened her mission sheet with a serious expression: "Kill all the kidnappers in Area A."
She stared at the attached map, her mouth agape. Wasn't this the mountain range that the captain had taken her to train last time?
"Do you need me to form a team with you?"
Lin Qi looked at Xiao Jing's serious face and subconsciously looked at the quest in his hands.
Xiao Jing shook her head. "This is a personal battle. I don't want to drag you down."
"We are comrades-in-arms."
"Then you should believe your comrade, he is not a weakling!"
Xiao Jing picked up the gun and put the bullets into the magazine one by one, her eyes filled with determination.
