CHAPTER SIX

Yes she was determined to find herself a boyfriend and get into a serious relationship, yes, she wanted to date someone very soon. But not anybody like Dante' and definitely not a guy who works at a bar. She preferred to date a celebrity or a rich business man like Kendrick Maxdom, Or maybe that Javino guy, Sonia told her about. And she hopes to see him very soon.

After all, Sonia mentioned that he's a good catch and he usually visits the club she is in.

However, she believed that she would find true love and successfully achieve her crazy, goals.

An advanced looking, Russian guy walked up to Dante' and whispered in his ears

"The boss wants to see you"

"All right, let's go"

Dante' replied and they left the bar.

Julia was sitted alone, scrolling through Instagram and commenting on each fashion related post she saw.

She looked at her watch, it was ten minutes past six. It was getting late. she wanted to leave the club

After few seconds, her phone rang, she smiled when the name Sonia popped up on her phone screen, then she answered the call.

Julia got up and walked away to a quiet, secluded place of the club .

" Hello Sonia. " She says.

" Yo, Julia what's up. "

Sonia responded happily.

"I'm cool, just chilling."

Julia spoke in a casual tone with a bored look on her face.

" So, have you met him? "

Asked Sonia.

" Who? " Questioned Julia.

" Duh... Javino Almanza, the guy I told you about. "

Sonia answered.

" Oh, not yet, I haven't seen him. "

Julia replied.

" Well maybe he's not at the club today. Anyways I was thinking, why don't you come live with me at my house, so we can be room mates again."

Sonia suggested.

" No thanks Sonia, but I prefer to stay on my own. "

Julia refused.

" All right, suit yourself. I just hope you're living fine and no one's making you uncomfortable over there. Cause if there is, you tell me, so I can come over and punch them in the face. Cause nobody messes with my bestie. "

Sonia replied.

Julia laughs and says.

" No thanks, I'm good, I promise. And thanks again for the birthday present, the dress fits me like it was made for me."

" Ooh, girl, I for sure know what you like. It better be the dress you wore to the club. "

Sonia says gleefully.

" Damn right it is."

Julia says with a smile.

" perfect! And I bet everyone in the club, couldn't stop staring at you. "

Sonia says while laughing.

" Exactly, even the bartender couldn't get his eyes off me. "

Julia says proudly.

" Girl, we were born to slay with swag." She snaps her fingers in emphasis.

Her tone changes to a serious one as she says with warning.

" But be careful, cause they're a lot bad boys in that club. "

Sonia says in a tone of concern.

" I Know, I will be vigilant, and if anything goes wrong, I can protect myself."

Julia saysdefensively.

"Good, also can you send me one of your cool pictures, so I can post on social media. " Asked Sonia

" All right I will. "

Julia replied as she goes back to sit on an empty couch.

While she was on the phone, the Young Mexican Man, who had been sitted quietly, got up, walked up to her and sat beside her, smiling as he offered her a glass of french wine. She shook her head, indicating ' No ' She refused to accept the drink. The man placed the glass of wine on a table and kept a fixed gaze on Julia, patiently waiting for her to finish her phone conversation.

" ... Yeah, um, Sonia, I'm gonna have to call you back, seems like I've got company."

Julia says as she observed the Mexican man from head to toe with a look of irritation and suspicion on her face.

" All right, see you tomorrow."

Sonia responded.

" Sure, bye. "

She replied and the call ends.

Julia looked at the man as he slowly sipped his wine and smiled flirtatiously without saying a word. He looked attractive and he seemed friendly, he seemed familiar, was he a movie star? or a former classmate, she wasn't sure. He had a welcoming smile on his face and his torso was exposed, the first two buttons of his shirt were unhooked revealing a small, rough looking, tattoo and a golden crucifix necklace.

Julia wanted to say ' Hi 'to him but hesitated and decided to ignore him.

The man leaned forward and said.

" Hello Damsel, how are you doing? "

She didn't answer his question, she looked at him strangely, admiring his shiny, brown eyes and curly, dark, hair. He was indeed Charming with a captivating Spanish accent, he appeared drunk, he was sitted too close to her, that she could perceive the alcohol in his breath, mixed with something she couldn't guess.

" You look Sexy. A beautiful young lady like you, should not be alone. "

He says to her while smiling. He stared at her from head to toe, and pictured himself in bed with her.

" Do I know you? "

Julia asked irritably, feeling slightly offended by his words and behavior.

" So sorry, forgive me Senorita, where are my manners? "

He says apologetically.

He clears his throat and introduces himself.

" I'm Javino, but you can call me Vino, I'm sure you must have heard of me. "

He says proudly.

" What's your name?"

He asked curiously.

" I'm Julianna . " She answers.

" Julianna. "

Her name on his lips sounded so nice.

" Nice to meet you Juliana."

He says with a wink and a broad smile on his face.

Julia was annoyed by his friendliness, she looked away, attempting to ignore him but a thought crossed her mind.

" Wait, are you Javino Almanza? "

She asked curiously.

" Yes. " He answered.

" I've heard a lot about you, my best friend, she's like your biggest fan. " 

she said to him.

" Really? " He asked, pretending to be surprised.

" Well I can't wait to meet her."

He says politely.

Julia felt the need to ask.

" What are you doing here? "

" I was waiting for someone. What about you? "

He returned the question.

" Today's my birthday. I came here to celebrate. And try something knew. "

She answered.

" Why'd you come alone? Where's your family? "

He asked.

" They don't come to places like this." She answered.

" Well, cheers to you, birthday girl"

He says as he raised his glass up and she did the same. They clink their glass cups together and she says gleefully.

" Cheers to me."

As she was about to drink from the cup, her phone rang, she dropped the glass on a table before her and opened her purse to take her phone. But the ring stopped before she could answer the call. It was a beep call, so she felt reluctant to call back. It was her cousin Carlos, he was calling to wish her happy birthday. She texted him.

" Hey Carlos, I'll call you back later"

And he replied .

" All right, happy birthday princess, I wish you all the best."

" Thanks a lot. " She texted him, before keeping her phone in her purse and returning her attention back to Javino, who had been drinking wine.

" Who was that? "

He asked smiling.

" My brother " She replied.

" How's your birthday going ?"

He asked nicely.

" Great, I received a lot of gifts from my family and friends."

She says happily,

He smiles and nods.

Javino looked at Julia with lustful gaze in his eyes.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

She asked angrily as she adjusts and pulled down the hem of her dress.

" Nothing, I was just thinking, maybe one of these days I could take you and your best friend out, would you like that? "

He asked.

" Sure. "

She answered.

He shifts closer to her and says.

" I'm actually a modelling agent, aside being a super model, I'm also a dancer and a talent manager, so i would like  link you up with huge designers that can help boost your career. But only if you agree to work with me."

" Are you serious? or you're joking, cause, you just met me, and you're already making promises. "

Julia says, not believing all he said.

" I'm serious." He insists.

She laughs and says.

" Thanks, if you can do that, it would make me so happy."

" If ? Girl, you have no idea who I am, and what I can do."

He says to her, slightly offended.

"My best friend mentioned a lot about you, So yes, I know you're rich, famous and all that, but I just find it odd that you're willing to help me without asking for anything in return. "

She says boldly.

" Cause I'm a good man. I love to elevate people and transform their lives from little to big. It's my passion and it's who I am. "

He says and smiles.

" Hmm, impressive!"

Julia responds, she believed he had good intentions but she wants to know him first before allowing him to influence her career or lifestyle.
