Gabi pov

Only at night is when the most vicious monsters roam and the biggest villain of them all is strolling in the streets of Tokyo. Despite the crime he did the other day, it still doesn't phase the long-haired man at all. Tokyo never sleeps as people of many ages walk around chattering with their close ones or others are glued to their phones. Although Tokyo is very busy, it's also very distanced. As Gabi passes each person, no one seems to notice him it is like he is invisible to everyone. Feeling unseen isn't a foreign feeling for the man because he felt that way growing up with his family. People would either ignore him or even look down on him, many men around his age would probably commit suicide for being too isolated in society for being unfit however Gabi thanks his family for getting him used to this feeling overwise he would be part of that statistic of un-a living himself. To be very truthful if it wasn't for plotting destruction to this very planet that caused him misfortune since he was born he would probably accept his fate and let the sorcerers kill him on that day when he lost his very self. Without chaos, there isn't any value for him to be walking in this world. Even Gabi himself wonders when the last time he was truly happy without conflicting harm to others, he even forgot how a heart can flutter through homesome scenarios.

"I want some cake . . ." he uttered under his breath as the street started to get crowded by the second. Soon it was impossible to see the buildings ahead of him due to the multiple heads blocking his field of vision. As the symbol turned green to let the people cross the street, he bumped into a petite person who fell in front of him against his hardened physique that a typical human can't go against.

"Ouch. . ." the woman's voice was delicate but loud enough for Gabi to hear it from the noise surrounding them.

Gabi was about to continue to cross the street without giving the woman a second look until he saw her crimson hair fighting against the crazy wind that attacked her hair.

(That color . . . that voice . . .)

He could only see the back of her and stood there baffled by the body he once knew, the body he used to hold and care for, and the body his younger self used to worship. The woman didn't move as she sat on the ground, examining the cut she obtained by falling. That fluttering heart that only occurs during something homesome is starting now? Or is it just nostalgic? What might seem romantic in romance movies when two matching souls reunited seems sweet however in this life, it's nothing more than misery at the hands of the universe who has been plotting Gabi's downfall since the moment he was born. The woman turned her face around to see who was the cause of her new injury and the Japanese man anticipated for it to be someone who he knew from his past but in reality, it was a mere woman he didn't have a single clue of who she was.

"Hey you." she sneered at him as she was still sitting down on the ground. In Japan, it's rare to have people to help you or even give you a second glance so that was exactly happening in this situation. The two had a staredown as the citizens of Japan walked past them as if they were just see-through glass. "Are you even listening to me?" the woman finally got up and stepped up to him. "You just going to stand there and not even help me up." the woman wasn't anything more but just an ordinary human. She doesn't know that her own life could be in danger by stepping up against an unhinge-powerful being. Gabi realizes that the woman wasn't blessed with intuition because if she were she would probably run away far from him but instead, she is screaming in his face on the edge of the street. Without a second longer Gabi just left the woman to herself. A part of him wanted to end her there but for some reason, he didn't want to and he couldn't understand why. Even with being labeled as one of the most ruthless people on earth he still could not help but feel soft ever since he entered his home country again. No correction ever since he shared a lunch date with that little girl. That girl was the closest thing that made Gabi's heart flutter ever since he abandoned his sanity.

"I have become soft lately," he whispers to himself in disgust and to prove that claim by leaves that same woman who was screaming in his face behind him as he walks away. Even after walking further down the block, he could still hear her yelling. If Higanbana was there with him she would probably make fun of him but surprisingly he haven't seen her a lot. Since she was brought on the land she has been heading out lately.

"Soon the rest will have to play their part until it is time for that day. Before that day comes I will indeed enjoy the best cafes in Japan," he spoke to himself once more but this time an elder man looked at him as if he was crazy. Gabi was certainly going down the deranged road but as we speak right now he definitely has himself in control. "Don't we all talk to ourselves once in a blue moon? It's totally normal, Gramps," he said to the man with a slick grin on his face but the man didn't reply with his mouth, he replied by walking away as fast as he can away from him.

" That hurts."

Makima pov

"This better not be a habit by having meetings in my home." Makima cut straight to the point as she sat on her couch with one leg over the other. On one hand, she is swirling the red wine in her wine glass as she taps her fingers on the armrest of her expensive couch that only wealthy people can obtain.

" It wouldn't be if you would come to the school, Makima," Gojo spoke with sass as he was sitting pretzel style on her carpet. "The real question is why do I have to sit on the floor rather than the couch?"

" You tainted enough of my furniture, I will not allow my room or this precious couch of mine. I got it from Rome. Also, I'm not stepping on that disgraceful property. As soon as word gets out my clan will have their hopes up thinking I'm joining again. I'm just doing this for a selfish reason."

"Yes, I know. To get back to your precious-"

"Don't say the rest or else you will be out of here, idiot." her colored eyes darkened as she gripped the wine glass tighter than she normally should. "Back to the conversation. For him to enter the exchange event there has to be a mole and we have to capture the mole to integrate that idiot's plans."

Gojo listened attentively to the woman but he already came up with that already. "The problem is that how do we know if he didn't murder the mole? The people who were there with him, couldn't care less if they lost their life. It was a person who worshipped him and Gabi still murdered him."

Makima sucked her teeth. "That man . . ." she muttered. She drank the remaining wine in her glass and placed it down near the lamp. "This is becoming difficult. I don't know how we can reach him without it becoming a messy fight."

" We could mention how he might have a daughter who is certainly walking around here." Gojo was making a suggestion but Makima quickly glared at him.

"I'm already putting her on the line by joining you in this stupid quest to get your brother back. I don't want him to know about her when he has this mindset. He might do something rash and harm her. I don't know what's lingering in his head."

" Stupid quest? We both know you want to do it regardless of the ego you have. I know you are difficult to get close to but after all these years you didn't try to move on and why that? You didn't even abort Misumi after thinking how the person you love was a monster. You want this more than me, Makima. Stop lying to yourself because you wouldn't try to kill me the other day when I said I killed him."

Makima turned her head to the side to look at the paintings she collected over the years. Places where she and Misumi along with Ms.Tanka went to discovered and she wish he was with them deep down. After knowing the truth she wants nothing more than to see him but not the person he has become. She wants the good-natured side of him, the person who makes her laugh without even trying, the person who she finally felt comfortable with, and the person who loved her for her and not this image her clan made her wear. She always wants Misumi to meet her father especially when she asks if Satoru is her dad. She has images of seeing Gabi and Misumi getting along. She could see the man secretly giving Misumi sweets even though she would tell him no, she could see him walking her to school while always picking her up, and she could see them on family trips together and taking pictures as a normal family she would witness in public. She wants to give Misumi the childhood she never received but how she can do that when one person is missing from the picture? She wants Gabi for herself but more importantly, it's for their daughter. Now how can she bring him back? How can she save the person she has loved since she was a teen? What can she do to change his mind? And how she can locate him before he makes his next move? The sorcerer world is already after his head and she wants to reach him before they find him.

(Gabi, where are you? Come back for her sake even if you decide to still hate me.)

Unknown pov

"I waited for centuries for this exact year. I want nothing more but to succeed in my new vision in this world and I will get it one way or the other. Humans and sorcerers are annoying fleas who will be squashed in the end." the eager person sips on tea as they watch the humans from below. "It will be my time soon to shine and to conquer and my name will be feared like it once did before history erased it."
