Fury Lust

Author pov

A new set of footsteps suddenly came into close counters near the goddess. The woman slowly licked her bottom lip and bit it afterward as her body tingled with the sensation of fury lust. "I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." her back was still facing towards the person as she titered. "I still feel Misumi's cursed energy so I know you didn't kill her. Did you punish her for being a disobedient child like how your father did you?"

"I'm not my father, I won't do that to my own flesh," Gabi whispered but his small voice still lingers in the empty field full of destruction.

"I know you're not like your father. I had to plot schemes to be manipulative to you. Your father was quite easy, just a young woman can have his genitals turn rock solid."

Gabi's brows curved as his blue eyes were laced with bewilderment. "I'm not getting where you going with this."

Higanbana half turned her body, showing her sharp jawline/cheekbone. Her red rosy lips slightly grinned. "Your father wasn't that bad of a person. He was a raging dog full of teen hormones. He was certainly better than my father. That's for sure."

Gabi walked to Yuji's body and yanked out the vines that penetrated his torso.

"It's pointless. You facing death doors and still worrying about others. That mindset of you has always pissed me off." her demeanor switches like a light switch.

Gabi didn't respond but used his lifespan to heal the teen and seeing that sight angered the woman more. She clenches her perfectly straightened teeth as her eyes instinctively twitch. " Why does it piss you off so much?" Gabi slyly asked as he gave Yuji's body to Fujin to take away from the battle.

"Don't interrogate me, you not in the position to do so."

"I suppose, but it would answer so much of how you became like this version of yourself today. You like to be in charge, hating people looking down on you, also conniving. You were so eager for me to be strong ever since we first met, even said we are the same person on a flip coin. From that, I gathered you used to share the fate as me when you were younger."

Higanbana didn't dare to show any slight emotion that could prove to Gabi that she was triggered because she was. However she had to save face, "One thing about us is that I changed your past to be like mine. I need you to be vulnerable and it certainly works. Look at us right now, this wouldn't have happened if I hadn't intervened." Higanbana knew she pinched a nerve and a checkmate smirk appeared, seeing the man standing in front of her had millions of thoughts racing across his mind trying to figure out what she meant but she knew that deep down inside of his mind he understood what she saying. " Since you are dying, I might well tell you everything. It's such a shame I waited for years to see that handsome face again, just to tear it apart."

Gabi went to Makima and Gojo's lying body. Seeing the slight burn marks filled his body with adrenaline. Makima squinted her eyes, every small movement earned a grunt from the woman, and the same for Gojo. Gabi sacrificed his lifespan to heal them.

"Where's Misumi?" Makima quickly asked as her eyes scanned the area and didn't see any sight of her daughter but a sigh of relief came out of her mouth when she still felt her daughter's energy. Gabi nervously scratched the side of his head as he remembered how he handled her for not listening.

Flashback

"Good riddance. . . " she harshly mutters, leaving Gabi confused as the dragon finally let him free to fall to his death.

" Jorogumo . . ." he utters as he free dives down the falling building as pieces of pieces of furniture accompany him. A strong hefty web caught him and he stood in place in the air as Jorogumo used her webs to bond the girl together so she could not use her curse energy against them.

" Took you long enough to call on me." Jorogumo sassed her master as she handled the dragon by using her spider form and jabbing the dragon's weak spot to the point it vanish. Jorogumo pulled up Gabi so he could see his daughter. Although, she couldn't move or summon any curse due to Jurogumo's curse nudifier webs the two adults still heard a mouth full from the little girl.

" You lowlives are nothing but small prey ready to be eaten by the all mighty-" she was cut short when Gabi whacked the top of her head using his hand and Jorogumo shot a web to cover her mouth. Only the muffled sounds were heard as Gabi and Jorogumo shared a brief satisfied gaze and walked away from the child.

Flashback ended

" She's fine. Trust me." he nervously broke eye contact with her.

"If anything happened to her-"

"I know. You will murder me in different creative ways, Maki." he finished her sentence off and he helped her up from the ground, " Nothing happened to her."

Makima dusted her body as she nodded. Gojo made quick eye contact with his brother and looked ahead of him. He saw Higanbana standing there with her hand on her hips staring at the three with annoyance.

"We can finally get wild without hurting Misumi," Gojo utters with a crazed look lighting up his blue orbs.

"This is getting repetitive now. Why can't you stay down?" Higanbana nose flared up.

Makima clapped her two hands together and twisted in the opposite direction from each other. "Don't worry, I'm not using innocent lives. I'm using people who are disgusting rapists or murderers," she whispers to reassure him.

" Why are you telling me that? . . . I'm confused-"

" Last time when I used innocent lives you gave me the silent treatment," she spoke over him and that's when the memory clicked to him of when they were kids.

Gojo lifted his arms above his head to crack the bones in his body, "I know the two of you haven't had a heart-to-heart conversation in years but we have a stubborn curse that needs to be exorcised.

The two figures stood in stark contrast to the darkness around them, one squatting on the ground with hands pressed into the rumble, the other levitating with chains appearing around her waist as a halo appeared above her head. The moonlight shone brightly upon Makima, highlighting the details of her dark outfits and the red hair of the floating woman, so vibrant it seemed to shine like a fallen angel escaping from heaven. The chains themselves were intricately designed, each one seemingly holding onto a different being or curse that had once roamed the earth. At the other ends of the chains, pawns kneeled in waiting, ready to be released for battle at their master's command.

The twins were amazed to finally see the woman's technique that she had hidden for years. "Oh? I see you are tired of playing." Higanbana stated the obvious. "Shall we all dance until the three of you drop dead in my garden full of Higanbanas?"

"We have this. We are the strongest sorcerers." Gojo has spoken and that was the start of the battle.

Makima let Toji go from her chains, " off her in style for pissing me off." Makima commands and Toji mocks her as he dashes along with Gojo towards the curse.

Gabi digs his hands deep in the rumble in the ground," Sen-ri no Heishi ga Gyakusatsu no Junbi ga Dekite iru." { A thousand soldiers ready to slaughter.}

The ground trembled and cracked, trees swaying wildly as the vibration spread through the air. The vines burst forth from the ground, thick and gnarled, twisting and writhing as they grew taller and thicker. They took on the shape of multiple figures, each one a replica of Gabi, standing tall and formidable.

"Master, when did you learn this?" Jorogumo questioned him in pure astonishment.

The whole army charged ahead, aiding Toji and Gojo. Gabi awakens his eyes to see the lifespan of everyone on the battlefield. As he looked at Higanbana her lifespan wasn't there, it just showed N/A. Gabimaru was left confused because he had no clue what tricks this woman had underneath her sleeve.

"I'm going all out, I need you four to play support," Gabi orders his four trusty special-grade curses. The four nodded. Gabi did a little stretch on the ground to charge him up then boosted into the crowd.

Higanbana stood there unfazed but the sneer on her face didn't leave her either. "Mongrels . . . you lack respect."

Gabi's army, fueled by the curse's abilities at their disposal, ravaged the battlefield with ferocity. Some soldiers slithered through the darkness beneath the ground, poised to launch a surprise attack on Higanbana. Others manipulated the weather, unleashing a blizzard of snow and freezing winds that whipped through the chaos.

Amidst the chaos, Toji and Gojo fought fiercely against Higanbana along with Gabi's copycats. With his sword slicing through the air, Toji launched himself towards Higanbana while Gojo leaped into the fray from behind. As he aimed his hand at his target, his ocean-blue eyes glowed with an intense red light as he unleashed a powerful cursed technique from his fingertips.

Higanbana, focused on bringing down Gabi's army, was caught off guard by the sudden onslaught of weather attacks. She dodged and weaved through massive hailstones, only to be met with a devastating spiritual attack from Gojo. The force of it sent her flying several kilometers away, her body slamming violently into the debris she had caused earlier.

As she struggled to get up, Higanbana surveyed her battered form and saw her favorite dress in tatters. Anger coursed through her as she remembered the promise she made to herself to forget about that fateful day. But now, in this moment of chaos and destruction, those memories came flooding back with a vengeance, fueling her determination to defeat Gabi and his army once and for all. This sight of her angered her more. " Times up for you mongrels." The woman stood up abruptly and ran forth at the army. "Shi no taiju." { Great tree of death.}

As she continued running, behind her, a massive tree, at least forty feet tall, broke free from the ground and its branches began thrashing about, seeking out enemies to take down. The tree's monstrous form zoomed across the field, moving in erratic patterns to eliminate anyone in its master's way. Despite this, Higanbana was able to deftly maneuver around the branches, her flexible movements allowing her to maintain her running momentum. As she leaped off the copycats, she tore their heads off and then used her branches to speed through their chests, reducing their bodies to pieces. With her rhythm found, she easily cut through the enemy army, bringing their numbers down by more than half. Nothing was in her view within her vision besides the Person she once cared for in her own sick twisted way and as seconds passed the closer she was to him. Gabimaru will taste her sicken love for a final time before she erases everyone on the field.

Gabi remained calm, despite the furious woman charging towards him. He could see steam rising from her body as she clenched her fists in anger. Her eyes burned with murderous intent, darkening even further as they locked gazes with him. Gabi's own eyes held a steely determination. As they clashed, their bodies moved with the same fierce intent, "You shall be damaged from the inside out. Remember now!" she roared into his ears and she forcefully made him kneel by just using her raw strength.

Gabi's surroundings changed as soon as the woman lifted her hand off him. He was no longer on the battlefield, surrounded by chaos and death, but instead found himself in a pure white room with nothing in it. The starkness of the room reminded him of when he first met the woman, back when he was just a child. "Time for memory lane, my sweet Gabi." her voice echoed in the room but it was no sight of her.

" Stop these games and let's finish this." he viciously spoke as his veins were visible to notice of how they wanted to be set free from within his skin.

" Not after your true background will be revealed. You're just a foolish man who thinks he knows it all but you're nothing but a mere child stuck in a past. Time to wake up."
