Jujutsu Kaisen: The Contractor

Bindings, shackles, geas, chains, all things that restrict everything in our universe. Laws must be put into place and punishments need to be handed out to those who do not respect the rules for the world to retain its functions. But what happens when one can escape that punishment? What happens when one can manipulate those rules? A contract cannot bind one who can escape it. So the world cannot bind 'him' to its rules. He runs freely, unshackled by the rules of humanity and world. A God looking down on the world. ------------------------------------- Story is very slow and does not make the MC strong for the first 40 chapters. If you don't want that then I don't recommend this book for you. *I don't own the cover nor the story this fanfic is based on.*

"Alright, all patched up." Ieiri said as she placed the last bandage wrap around Arai's leg. On the operating table was Arai who was busy using reverse cursed technique on himself to heal.

With his encounter of Sukuna, his injuries were numerous but not quite severe. A day or two of resting would be enough for him to recover. Especially with his own reverse cursed energy and Shoko's help.

"How much will it be?" Arai said as he put on his shirt.

"Free of charge but next time it will have to be paid." She said as she took a cigarette and light it up. Arai nodded but his thoughts came to his encounter with Sukuna.

If Arai had to describe what happened, it would be a one sided assault, he was beating Sukuna and overpowering him. But going too deep would of put him in trouble, Sukuna was just that powerful even if this was a three fingered one.

Arai sighed disappointed.

Shoko who noticed this slapped Arai on the back and smiled. "Don't your two loving daughters going to compete against one another, I think they'll appreciate you coming to see them."

Arai snickered. "That's the reason as to why I'm here."

"Then go on, it's going to start in 20 minutes. Don't waste a doctor's time."

"I'll waste your time, not a doctors." Arai turned around and left.

His comment left a smile on Shoko. Her gaze lingered on his departing figure but after some time snapped out of it and got back to work. This playful banter was with them for a decade yet she was the one who had to initiate it to him. He had only started talking with her genuinely only a year ago. Now it felt like they had become closer, and that made her feel like her efforts weren't in vain, after all.

"Hey, hey! Look who finally arrived." Gojo said with a smirk. Beside him was Utahime who nodded at Arai which he reciprocate. Behind them was the principal of Kyoto's school, Gakuganji and Mei who smiled at him.

"Has it already started?" Arai asked before taking a seat beside Utahime.

"Only for a minute, nothing of note has happened yet." Utahime replied while keeping her eyes on the screen in front of them. In fact there were several tv screens in front of them displaying the events unfolding from different angles.

"Hm, it seems that Todo is going straight for the Tokyo team." Utahime commented as she saw Todo nowhere near his own team.

"Well he never was the type to stay still and team up." Gojo said with a smile.

The game's rules was very simple.

There were numerous grade 3 cursed spirits placed everywhere in the forest. When one is exorcised, they will indicate which team eliminated that cursed spirit. Red for Tokyo and blue for Kyoto. One cursed spirit will be a grade 2 and if one eliminates it than that team wins. The one with the most points by the end of sunset wins.

'Of course nobody actually cares about the game. What's really important is how talented and skillful the sorcerers are. And that will be determined through battle. And who else other than Todo will determine the first evaluation to everyone in this room.'

That was when the man in question arrived creating a cloud of dust in his entrance. With a wide grin, he looked at the Tokyo team and grinned widely. "All of you are here, come at me all at once!"

Though everyone's focus was on Todo, Arai's gaze landed on two screens.

At the start, Todo was not the only one who branched off their team. Maki and Mai also did and he knew the reason why they did so.

'Show me what you girls got.' He solemnly thought.

A cursed spirit resembling an bright red iguana climbed one of the trees and sat there. Though it was a low grade, it still held an intelligence high enough to know that prey would arrive at his territory giving it the opportunity to kill.

It was a predator first and foremost, and hunting like one was its essence. Though that chance will not arrive.

Its head turned around noticing something but before it could do anything, its head was decapitated. In one clean strike, one of the spirits had died making the seals turn blue with fire.

A figure dashed away though the forest. The figure was Mai who wore different equipments. She had a green helmet with stripes of brown lines going down vertically, her silver boots had wings adorned behind. On her back was a sniper rifle and in her hand was a dagger like those at the military. On her right eye was a golden monocle with a red crosshair in the middle.

As she ran through the forest, her right eye darted around trying to locate a target. She held her hand on her earpiece. "I'm closing in on them, I'll try to find a good position before engaging."

"Wait for us before you engage, Todo is taking on Sukuna's vessel to distract him and we will take that opportunity to exorcise." The voice at the otherside came from Noritoshi Kamo.

Mai brought out her sniper rifle and lied down popping the scope open. "You mean kill and like I said earlier, I'm not joining this charade. You guys can go kill that Itadori guy but don't involve me. I'm targeting the others but not him."

There was a moment of silence before Noritoshi answered. "... do what you want."

Mai closed her left eye and with her barrel aimed straight at Tokyo's group who had just run past Todo. Her eyes scanned the group but she frowned when she noticed someone missing.

'Hm? I don't see Maki with them. Is she-'

Immediately, she cranked her neck as far to the right as she could while pushing herself off the tree she was. Just in time as Maki crashed onto the tree she was at like a meteor.

Pulling her gun, she aimed it midair and pulled the trigger launching a bullet at Maki. The recoil of the blast pushed her backwards. She landed on another tree and aimed once again at Maki.

"Nice moves, you've gotten better." Maki smiled as she dusted off her shield that left a remnant of smoke indicating that the bullet Maki shot got blocked.

"I've been practicing a lot." She retorted not laying down her barrel aimed straight at Maki's face.

Maki smiled and brought out her retractable spear. "Good, it wouldn't be fun if this was a one-sided beat down. This fight is purely on our own skills. Just you and me, Heavenly Pact or Cursed Technique. We'll see who's better."

"Hey that's not fair, I'm a support." Mai was nervous as sweat ran down her back.

Maki shrugged. "And I'm green platypus wearing a hat."

"Huh?"

In an instant, Maki appeared before Mai and slammed her fist at her but thankfully Mai used her own shield and protected herself. Leaving a dust of wind exploding from the impact leaving Maki confident in her abilities.

"The point is, it doesn't matter. Let's go all out!"
