A Postmortem on Potential.

Damn, it's over. What a time to be alive, huh? 

I actually completed a fic, does that make me part of the 0.000001% of fanfic authors that actually did that?

Honestly, you have no idea how many times I wanted to drop the fic. I'm glad I didn't but boy was I close to doing it at a few points XD

For my first ever work, I don't think I did too bad though! I even got some Fanart of my fic made, the guy that made it went by the name of EiST on Webnovel!

Oh, it's definitely not Perfect in the slightest. If I could go back in time, I can definitely think of a few things I'd change if I could go back. Not to mention how piss poor my writing skills were back then, I got no clue how you guys chose to stick around through allat dogshit…

First of all, that making the Ten Shadows visible by all things instead of just making Tsumiki a Window thing.. What the hell was I smoking? 

I mean I retconned it out but why the hell didn't I just make her able to see and interact with curses from the beginning? Am I stupid? 

Why didn't my dumbass proofreader Solare stop me? He's more than happy to stomp out any of my fun ideas but can't think when it counts smh

Same with Sukuna's awakening, it could have gone better but I still think it all made sense in the end.

But honestly, writing this fic has been a fuckin treat, I'm convinced that the JJK Power System is one of the best to ever do it. It's reaaaaally fuckin good!

Especially Binding Vows man, I don't get the Hate they get from the community! They open up so many different avenues and places to take the Story and that's not just for fights, Gege really fuckin cooked with making them.

Now if only he didn't pretty much exclusively use them with Sukuna XD

And man if I didn't squeeze out every little bit of POTENTIAL outta Megumi, the amount of Pure Bullshit I was able to pull outta the Ten Shadows is crazy XD

Honestly, I kinda wrote myself into not hating the Bum that much. Shit is crazy. Is this what Stockholm Syndrome feels like?

All in all though, I'm happy with how Potential Man has turned out. It's definitely the best thing I've made in my life and has been an unforgettable experience. 

I wanna take a moment to thank each and every one of you for being here, especially those that went out of their way to comment or support my work in any meaningful way, I shall never forget you all!

Making such a wonderful community has really been maybe the best time of my life XD

Time to answer some questions!

Is this the complete end to Potential Man? Will there be a sequel?

Well, yes and no.

Yes, this is the end of Potential Man's Main canon story. There are no plans for a sequel right now but I can't say for sure that I 100% won't wanna come back to it to take Megumi and the gang on another adventure through another verse WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY later on.

I do plan on making some Omakes/side stories/extras before fully putting it to rest, mostly some fun stories and maybe an extra battle or two? We'll see when I get to it.

And.. *sigh* one of you Horny Bastards (Bakenekon) made a Smut chapter with that one Astolfo Femboy that showed up in chapter 14 or sum shit, so I guess you can expect that to come out soon enough

Atleast he says he's working on a Yuki smut chapter so idk, you can look forwards to that

What's next for you / Do you have plans for a new work?

I definitely want to start a new work! This has been a really fun experience. I do wanna try my hand at another fic.

But first I wanna take atleast a week or two break(Probably WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY longer tbh) and finish up some Omakes before I start anything, I'm more Burned Out than I thought I'd be…

Although unfortunately, it's not gonna be another JJK fic. I've covered everything I wanted to cover in JJK; from 'Love' to the Loneliness of Absolute Strength to even 'Going North or Going South'.

I did have a pretty cool Heian Era fic planned out but I'm really just not that interested in writing at the moment. 

The MC would have been Reborn into JJK with no knowledge of JJK at all, and here's the kicker he has the Six Eyes but NO Limitless. He and Sukuna would have become huge rivals like Garp and Roger / Madara and Hashirama

There's a lot of cool ideas I had written for the fic but I just can't be bothered to write it anymore, I lost interest. 

I'm mentioning it because I'm giving whoever reads this an opportunity to take the Idea and the Planning Doc I made and make the fic yourself, I'd be more than happy to help you make it and even proofread but I won't be writing it myself.

The fic that's MOST LIKELY to happen at this point is a One Piece fic

I call it 'One Piece: An Immortal Legend'

It's about the adventure of a Lunarian MC on his quest to achieve True Immortality by becoming a Legend so Great he can NEVER be forgotten since he believes that a Man only Dies when he is forgotten.

Why a Lunarian you ask? Well ever since I read Zoro vs King and found out how much power King was given just from his blood alone, I've always thought one thing…

"Damn, this guy is a BUM! He's been given such amazing Hax and Abilities just because of his Blood and is just wasting it all!"

…SOUND FAMILIAR????

That's right ladies and gentlemen, I hereby Declare: King is the Potential Man of One Piece!

And so it's my humble Duty to Prove how much of a Bum King is by showing what can be achieved with the same Base!

…Am I building a reputation of fixing Potential Wasting Bums in anime?

Eh whatever, here's more about the fic:

The fic and the MC's journey will both start right after Roger's Death.

The MC is a special one and first of all, he will NOT be eating a Devil Fruit. He will be a Haki Man.

He will be born with Conqueror's Haki and as such, he will be Arrogant asf. Think Escanor from Seven Deadly Sins or Gilgamesh from Fate or Frieza and Perfect Cell from DBZA.

He will have the voice and the laugh of Gilgamesh, with the same Pride to boot. Yes, he will be calling people Mongrels.

He will also believe Lunarians to be the Peak Race and as such, He will be Racist. Yes, he will be calling people Monkeys. 

CONCLUSION / TL;DR

This isn't the end of Helios and I will be making a new fic eventually.

But any new fic I do make will stay only on Patreon for a while until I get a big enough stockpile of chapters to keep up with my usual upload schedule and NOT fail Uni doing so.
