Jujutsu High and Classmates

June 5, 2004

Tokyo, Foothills of Mount Mushiro

"Jujutsu High Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College seems bigger than in the anime," Hiroshi remarked to himself.

"Hiroshi, the Principal said that Mr. Masamichi Yaga is our mentor throughout our days here at Jujutsu High," Gojo Satoru mentioned casually.

"He sounds stern, probably a buff dude. I wonder if he has hands?" Hiroshi inquired.

"He's a veteran Grade 1, of course he would have hands," Gojo Satoru replied.

As they approached a classroom, Hiroshi and Gojo Satoru continued their conversation. Inside the room, they spotted a tall man with a muscular frame and tan skin. He sported a short buzz haircut, thick eyebrows, and a combination of mustache and goatee.

"This must be our guy. The dude's been waiting inside the classroom," Hiroshi observed.

"Good morning, Sensei!" Hiroshi and Satoru greeted as they stood by the door.

"Hmm, good morning," Masamichi Yaga replied, handing them their ID cards issued by the Principal the previous day.

"Looks like they were expecting us," Hiroshi remarked as he examined his ID card:

"Now that you have your IDs, your uniform will be given to you tomorrow. You can design your own based on your preference. Approach the School Tailor for your uniform designs. I'll see you tomorrow," Masamichi Yaga said sternly as he left the classroom.

"See you tomorrow, Sensei," Hiroshi bid farewell as Satoru glanced around the classroom.

"Satoru, I'm going to design my own uniform. You coming or what?" Hiroshi asked.

"Sure," Satoru replied.

Jujutsu High, Logistics Area, Uniform Designer

Hiroshi entered a three-story building filled with uniform-wearing mannequins.

"Hello, I'd like to design my own uniform," Hiroshi requested.

A woman with messy hair emerged from the mannequins and waved her hands as a mannequin moved in front of Hiroshi. "My name is Ryūkō, the uniform designer and tailor for this institution. You may begin," she said as the mannequins started to move around, opening closets and carrying fabrics.

Hiroshi glanced at Ryuko, impressed by her navy blue blouse and scarf. "She looks good," he thought before focusing on the mannequin in front of him, designing his uniform:

Black turtleneck

White slim-fit trench coat

Gold necklace

Tapered black slacks

Black business shoes

"That's it for now, Miss Ryuko," Hiroshi announced.

Ryuko nodded as she watched. "Delivery?" she inquired.

"You do delivery? I'd like five pairs of this uniform," Hiroshi requested.

"It's gonna cost you," Ryuko informed him.

Hiroshi handed her a black card, which she inserted into a card terminal.

"Thank you for your patronage," Ryuko said.

"I thought uniforms were free?" Hiroshi questioned.

"Since you wanted copies of your designed attire and delivery, there should be payment," Ryuko explained.

Hiroshi nodded and glanced at Satoru Gojo, who was designing his own uniform: a dark blue zip-up jacket with a high, wide collar, slim-fit black pants, and black dress boots.

"So that's how he designed his uniform in the anime," Hiroshi thought.

"Satoru, you done?" Hiroshi asked.

"Yeah, I am. I would also like five copies and delivery, please," Satoru requested, handing his card to Ryuko.

"Thank you for your patronage," Ryuko replied.

"Thanks, Miss Ryuko," Hiroshi said as he and Satoru left.

Hiroshi and Satoru were delving into the vast expanse of Jujutsu High, their curiosity unfettered as they navigated through the esteemed institution.

"Hiroshi, how does your Cursed Technique work? Do you summon the trees, or do you utilize the existing ones? When you were deploying your technique, the flow of Cursed Energy remained constant," Gojo Satoru inquired, his tone laced with genuine interest.

"It's both," Hiroshi responded succinctly.

"Both?" Satoru echoed, a hint of bafflement coloring his voice.

"I harness Cursed Energy to expedite the growth of any roots and plants within a 500-meter radius around me. These manifestations are visible to non-users because I merely accelerate their natural growth. However, the trees I summon are not visible to them. I seldom resort to summoning because it demands a colossal amount of Cursed Energy. And let's not forget, plants are omnipresent on Earth, even beneath concrete," Hiroshi elucidated, his explanation shedding light on the intricate workings of his inherited Cursed Technique.

"And how exactly do you detect them?" Satoru probed further, his curiosity piqued by the uniqueness of Hiroshi's ability.

"Let's just say, I inherently know the location of these plants or trees, even those that lie underground. In essence, plant life serves as my eyes and ears," Hiroshi replied, a smile playing on his lips.

"That's overpowered," Satoru remarked, impressed.

"Not as overpowered as Six Eyes and Infinity. Imagine compelling the world to adapt to you," Hiroshi countered, highlighting the sheer might of Satoru's abilities.

"You make a valid point," Satoru conceded.

"But...I remain the stronger one, hehe," Hiroshi teased, throwing a playful taunt Satoru's way.

"I'll reclaim that title eventually," Satoru retorted, accepting Hiroshi's challenge with a competitive spirit.

Moments later, Hiroshi and Satoru found themselves leisurely sipping boba, absorbed in the simple pleasure of the moment. As they sat, they observed the bustling activity around them, likening the movement of the people to that of industrious ants.

Hiroshi's gaze, however, drifted towards the pretty girls nearby. At 17, his interest in the opposite sex was peaking, contrasting with Satoru's more subdued demeanor at 15.

"Look at those pretty girls, Satoru," Hiroshi remarked, nudging his friend to take notice.

"Yeah, I see them. It's not as if this is the first time we've seen women, Hiroshi," Satoru responded, his tone dry.

"No, what I mean is, what type of women do you like, Satoru?" Hiroshi probed, curious about his friend's preferences.

"I don't know... A woman, I guess?" Satoru replied, his uncertainty evident. The concept of preferences hadn't crossed his mind before.

"What kind of lame answer is that? Ass or tits—pick one," Hiroshi pressed, trying to coax a more definitive answer from Satoru.

"Personality," Satoru replied teasingly, sidestepping the crass options presented by Hiroshi.

"Boring," Hiroshi scoffed, disappointed by the lack of engagement.

"I haven't really thought about it," Satoru admitted after a pause.

"I bet your mom and dad are wondering if you're planning to get a girlfriend or something, just like how my uncle inquires if I have a girl I like," Hiroshi shared, opening up about his family's curiosity regarding his romantic life.

"Don't get me started on that," Satoru said, his voice tinged with exasperation as he recalled his parents' probing questions about his personal life.

The Next Day,

Hiroshi and Satoru found themselves seated in an empty classroom, the only occupants in the room. Hiroshi, engrossed in manipulating cursed energy into various shapes, seemed unfazed by their solitude.

"Hiroshi, where do you think Sensei is?" Satoru inquired, breaking the silence.

"Probably busy. Relax, dude. The curriculum is all about exorcising cursed spirits and the basics. We've been doing it for years," Hiroshi replied casually, his focus still on the swirling tendrils of cursed energy.

Satoru nodded in agreement, his mind drifting to the countless cursed users and spirits they had encountered and dealt with over the years.

The sliding door creaked open, and Masamichi Yaga entered the room. "Good morning, class. You have some classmates joining you today. Come in and introduce yourselves," he announced.

Two newcomers stepped into the room, a man with bangs and a woman with a cigarette.

"Good morning. My name's Shoko Ieiri. Please take care of me," Shoko introduced herself with a polite bow.

The man followed suit. "My name's Suguru Geto. Nice to meet you all," he greeted the class.

"Bangs" Hiroshi and Satoru thought at the same time.

"Take your seats, and we can begin the class," Masamichi instructed, gesturing towards the available desks. Shoko settled beside Hiroshi, while Geto took a seat beside Satoru.

---

"Our lesson for today is history," Masamichi Yaga began. "It's essential for sorcerers to understand what transpired a thousand years ago, particularly during the Golden Era of Sorcerers—the Heian Era."

Masamichi's gaze lingered on Hiroshi as he continued, "During this era, the strongest sorcerer was Ryomen Sukuna. He faced attacks from various sorcerer clans, ultimately emerging victorious and earning the title of the King of Curses. His undefeated streak continued until he encountered Senju Hashirama, the ancestor of the Senju Clan and the God of Sorcerers. The details of their meeting and subsequent battle remain shrouded in mystery, but the aftermath of their confrontation transformed the battleground into Lake Biwa. Senju Hashirama succeeded in defeating and sealing the King of Curses into twenty fingers."

"Hey, Hiroshi, do you think you could defeat the King of Curses too?" Satoru teased, his curiosity piqued.

"Without a shred of doubt," Hiroshi replied confidently.

Masamichi Yaga continued his lesson until noon, when he dismissed the class.

"Class dismissed. See you tomorrow," Masamichi announced and left. Hiroshi, Satoru Gojo, Shoko, and Geto remained

Hiroshi glanced at Shoko, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. "Wanna grab a drink?" he proposed, recalling Shoko Ieiri's known penchant for alcohol, making her arguably the heaviest drinker in the series. Before Shoko could respond, Satoru swiftly interjected with a boisterous "BOOOOOOOO!!! That's a lame pick-up line," accompanied by teasing banter.

"Ain't no way you're doing this to a homie," Hiroshi quipped back, joining in the playful exchange.

"I am, and I will," Satoru retorted, maintaining his playful stance.

Seeing the attempted pick-up line fall flat, Hiroshi smoothly transitioned into a more casual approach. He extended his hand towards Shoko, introducing himself with a friendly smile. "I'm Senju Hiroshi. Nice to meet you, Miss Ieiri."

Shoko accepted his handshake with ease, her demeanor unfazed by the exchange. "Nice to meet you too, Senju-san," she replied calmly. "Please, call me Hiroshi, like Satoru over there," Hiroshi suggested, gesturing towards Satoru Gojo.

Turning his attention to Geto Suguru, Hiroshi offered a friendly greeting. "Nice to meet you. My name's Hiroshi Senju."

"Nice to meet you too, Hiroshi-san," Suguru responded politely.

"Please, call me Hiroshi, and I'll call you Suguru," Hiroshi proposed directly.

"That's fine, Hiroshi," Suguru agreed, accepting the informal address.

And thus, the first meeting of the trio and Shoko unfolded, marked by casual introductions and a lighthearted atmosphere.

--------------

A few days later, Hiroshi, Satoru, Suguru, and Shoko found themselves standing in a dirt training ground, ready to engage in combat.

"You guys can go all out. With Hiroshi and me, nobody is going to die," Shoko reassured the group.

Hiroshi and Geto positioned themselves a few meters apart, preparing for their sparring match.

"Suguru, do you know how to box?" Hiroshi inquired, his curiosity piqued.

"You mean boxing?" Suguru clarified. "I do know a bit," he admitted.

"I knew from the moment I sensed your cursed energy reserves that you have the potential to be Special Grade like us," Hiroshi remarked, gesturing towards Satoru sitting beside Shoko.

"Hey, Suguru, just a bit of advice: don't take your eyes off Hiroshi, or else he will multiply," Satoru chimed in with a mischievous grin.

"What does he mean by multiply?" Suguru muttered to himself, keeping his gaze fixed on Hiroshi.

"Anytime you're ready, Suguru," Hiroshi prompted, ready to begin the match.

Suguru assumed a fighting stance, bracing himself for the impending exchange.

"Let's do it!" Suguru declared, his determination evident.

"Alright, eyes on me now," Hiroshi instructed nonchalantly.

With a blink of an eye, Suguru found Hiroshi already in front of him, launching a swift punch towards him.

"Fast!" Suguru exclaimed, reacting quickly to parry the incoming strike.

"Catch these hands, Suguru!" Hiroshi taunted, seamlessly transitioning into a series of strikes—a front punch followed by a left low kick and finishing with a front kick—all executed within milliseconds.

Although Suguru managed to deflect the punch, the balance of his right leg was thrown off by Hiroshi's low kick, leaving him vulnerable to the subsequent front kick. Suguru staggered back several steps, attempting to stabilize his stance.

"He's fast. He could cover meters in the blink of an eye," Suguru analyzed, impressed by Hiroshi's speed.

As Suguru blinked again, he was taken aback to see two Hiroshis standing before him.

"What? I just blinked, and now there are two?" Suguru exclaimed, bewildered by the sudden duplication.

"Suguru, I did mention not to take your eyes off Hiroshi. That means no blinking, hehe," Satoru teased, enjoying the playful banter unfolding before him.

"That's absurd," Suguru thought, determined to keep his focus on the Hiroshis before him.

Despite his efforts, Suguru couldn't prevent himself from blinking, and in the next instant, the two Hiroshis were already within striking distance.

One of the Hiroshis launched an attack, executing a swift combination—front punch followed by a chin strike palm and concluding with a palm strike to the chest.

Suguru managed to deflect the front punch and evade the chin strike, but he couldn't react in time to the palm strike, which landed squarely on his chest, sending him staggering backward.

Meanwhile, the second Hiroshi swiftly moved in, capitalizing on Suguru's momentary disorientation to sweep his feet out from under him, ending the battle with Suguru Geto flat on his back.

As the clone Hiroshi dissipated, Hiroshi extended his hand to help Suguru up.

"That was confusing and disorienting," Suguru admitted, accepting Hiroshi's assistance.

"You'll get used to it. I had trouble with it too. Facing Hiroshi is like getting jumped, that's the simple explanation," Satoru explained, offering insight into the bewildering experience.

Suguru nodded, taking in the explanation.

"What can I say? Fighting me, you better have more hands and feet than I can ever make," Hiroshi joked, chuckling at his own remark.

"I also wasn't given a chance to use my cursed technique," Suguru remarked, feeling a sense of missed opportunity.

"That's the point. If a sorcerer can't box, then he's getting cooked by his opponents," Hiroshi clarified, emphasizing the importance of combat skills.

"What does he mean by cooked?" Suguru inquired, seeking clarification.

"Cooked means beaten or defeated—anything negative, really," Satoru elaborated, providing a simple explanation.

"I see," Suguru replied, contemplating the newfound knowledge.

"Suguru, your cursed technique is cursed spirit manipulation, right?" Hiroshi confirmed.

"Yes," Suguru affirmed.

"Let's go catch some more spirits for you to use and grab something to eat. What do you say, guys?" Hiroshi proposed, eager to continue their training.

"Let's go," Shoko agreed enthusiastically.

"Where?" Suguru asked, curious about their destination.

"Somewhere with cursed spirits," Satoru replied with a grin, adding an air of mystery to their outing.
