As mentioned before, Todo Aoi's way of thinking is just as peculiar as Gojo Satoru's.
But while Gojo Satoru mainly shows this through his unpredictability and desire for trouble, Todo Aoi took a different route.
Overactive imagination.
The self-proclaimed 530,000 IQ he boasted of mostly manifested here.
Give him an interesting keyword, and he could automatically conjure up an entire scenario.
And not just a short scene, but enough material to make an entire season of a slice-of-life anime.
For example, "The Story I Have to Tell About Takada-chan," or "My Great Brother, My Great Classmate Itadori Yuji," and he could come up with it all in just one second.
Akira couldn't help but feel envious.
Truly, especially when he was writing IS and forgot the plot.
If Todo Aoi weren't a sorcerer, he could definitely have been a successful producer.
Honestly, if he followed this route, it would be much easier for him to get close to Takada-chan. After all, the entertainment industry isn't free from its own set of challenges.
And now, Todo Aoi had found a new subject for his imagination—Gardevoir.
A role different from the previous ones.
Wife, best friend, sister.
It seemed that by the next exchange event, Todo Aoi could shout that famous line: "My life has been without regrets."
Akira quickly accepted the situation, but Gardevoir found it impossible to accept.
She could sense human emotions, and while she couldn't read minds directly, as her psychic powers grew, she could partially grasp shifts in people's states of mind.
In her eyes, Todo Aoi's attitude toward her was transforming in a rapid, exaggerated way.
From simply, "A powerful woman, worthy of respect," to something akin to how he regarded Hayami or Maki.
But unlike those two, where bonds were formed over countless interactions day after day, Todo Aoi had taken a route like strapping himself to 300 pounds of dynamite and launching out of a torpedo tube.
She couldn't understand it at all.
Especially when Todo Aoi swapped places to stand right before her and said with all seriousness, "Come, little sister, surpass your big brother and aim for even higher peaks."
The normally unshaken Gardevoir was taken aback, letting out a startled cry, "Garde..." as she used "Helping Hand" to send Todo Aoi flying, rolling 360 degrees across the ground before finally stopping.
It also made Pangoro, who was about to give chase, halt in its tracks.
Big Sis had taken action, so it wasn't its job anymore.
It hadn't forgotten the fear that Big Sis instilled in it right after birth.
At least half of its mischievous deeds had ended with Big Sis dragging it back using psychic power and keeping it suspended until it complied.
In its mind, Big Sis was definitely the scariest entity around, bar none.
The Kyoto School students were now numb to the spectacle—they got it, the smaller and seemingly harmless they looked, the harder they fought.
One was a larger version of Panda, another an aerial and ground assassin, and now there was the younger sister of Todo Aoi, with every Pokemon being Grade 1 level. No wonder Akira dared to challenge the entire Kyoto School.
He really did have the strength to back it up.
Todo Aoi didn't think much of it; he was fully immersed in the joy of gaining a new sister:
"That was a powerful hit. Good. As expected of my sister. If that's the case, then as your brother, I can't lose either. Because I'm such an insensitive man, come, my dear sister, show even more of your strength."
"Garde..."
Gardevoir thought that this inexplicable man was beyond comprehension, and for the first time chose to retreat, giving Akira a pitiful look.
Akira patted her head gently and said softly, "Ignore that idiot. Let's go together and send him flying so maybe he'll clear his head."
"Garde~"
"Pan~"
"Dark~"
The three Pokemon responded in unison, seamlessly executing a combination move.
Gardevoir first used "Psychic" to bind Todo Aoi's movements, preventing him from using "Boogie Woogie."
Next, Pangoro and Darkrai moved in from left and right.
Pangoro used "Vital Throw," lifting Todo Aoi high up and throwing him with all its might.
Darkrai followed up with "Ominous Wind" paired with "Quick Attack," truly sending the 190 cm tall muscle-bound man into the sky, turning him into a star on the horizon.
The only thing missing was that infamous line: "What a bothersome feeling."
After Todo Aoi's soaring thoughts had synchronized with his flight, Akira turned and called out to his side of the stands: "Sensei, I'll leave him to you."
It wasn't that Gardevoir couldn't use Psychic to cushion his landing, but rather, Akira was worried that if they gave Todo Aoi an inch, he'd take a mile.
After all, Gardevoir wasn't someone with Itadori Yuji's easygoing personality—she couldn't keep up with Todo Aoi's antics.
Compatibility would always remain an unavoidable issue.
"OK."
Gojo Satoru gave an OK gesture, using the "Blue" Cursed Technique to instantly reduce the distance between himself and Todo Aoi, pulling him back, and thoughtfully eliminating the excess force, ensuring a soft landing.
The similarly tall adult patted the teenager's shoulder and said.
"Aoi, you lost."
"I lost."
Todo Aoi admitted it frankly.
Although he had used some tricks during the explanation of his technique and hadn't showcased all the uses of "Boogie Woogie."
He also knew, however, that even if he fully used "Boogie Woogie," he still wouldn't win.
All of Akira's Pokemon were powerful, with strange abilities. Especially Gardevoir's invisible force, even harder to guard against than "Boogie Woogie," which could best limit the effectiveness of his technique.
Even with his brain overclocked to maximum capacity, he still couldn't see a path to victory.
"No wonder she's my sister."
Losing to her wasn't embarrassing—after all, they were siblings.
Todo Aoi gave a thumbs-up from afar, flashing his big white teeth.
"Do your best, sister. Your brother will support you for life. Fight! Fight!"
He then even started doing the generic Japanese cheerleading dance, looking extremely ridiculous.
But in Gardevoir's eyes, it only made her feel unable to understand, and that in turn scared her.
In that moment, she felt like she was back in her Ralts days, instinctively hiding behind Akira whenever something happened.
Todo Aoi's enthusiasm instantly dissipated, showing a look of utter despair, but he quickly recovered and ran energetically to Akira, placing both hands on Akira's shoulders, and said deeply:
"I'll leave my sister to you. Make sure she's happy."
Akira: "..."
Damn it, he really sees himself as her big brother now.
Giving Darkrai a look, the latter immediately dragged Todo Aoi away from the training field.
Even until the very end, Todo Aoi was shouting, "Take good care of my sister! If she suffers, I won't let you off!"
For the first time since coming to this world, Akira wanted so badly to meet the protagonist Itadori Yuji. Probably only he could keep this odd-brained musclehead in check.
If he remembered correctly, Yuji was studying at...Sendai?
He'd find an opportunity to visit.
But for now—
Akira raised his head, looking toward the center of the opposite stand, at the man wearing a school uniform modified into hunting attire.
"Next."
Finally, it was your turn, Kamo Noritoshi.
