6 Chapter 6: Kumagawa's side quest.

???

With Itadori and Nobara incapacitated, Gojo had no choice but to postpone the exorcism they will do. This gave Kumagawa time to roam around the place with no restrictions… it is questionable though if he even has one to begin with. [Wow, they have a lot of manga here? It is even more cool than what we have there] he commented, staring at the shelves full of manga.

He started picking those manga and ripping their covers. Without a care for the world, he began reading it at the bench ignoring the gaze of the store owner. This is Kumagawa without a doubt. A man who does not have a fraction of care about the world for the world itself rejects him.

Time passed by as Kumagawa finished reading 2 books. He started stretching when he seemed to remember something. [Right, Gojo-chan did mention looking for more of those fingers right? What is so special about it anyway?] He tilted his head wondering.

[Well, it doesn't matter! Although I erased that guy's soul, his cursed energy and techniques still remained on my soul. Even that bloody place is still there!] He said, staring at his soul with interest. He was given a small lecture by Gojo before and he was even handed a book that tackles everything about the sorcery world.

He heard about the Domain Expansion or so but never really encountered one. He is curious whether such techniques can affect Anshin'in-san. Many mentioned that Najimi Ajimu is already dead however Kumagawa refused to believe that. A minor villain managing to defeat the last boss? How ridiculous.

Najimi's death will be on his hand and no one will be able to change that. His Book Maker can only seal Najimi and not kill her and that is one of his regrets. Not being twisted enough to create a minus capable of killing her.

Kumagawa pushed those thoughts away as he started walking with no destination in mind. He maintained that pace until he reached a detention center that reeks of trouble. [Oya? Its threatening to become dangerous. Got it, I'll take a look at this one!] He reached a decision. Though he got stopped before he could enter.

(Quests!

New pet is here~!)

[Huh?] Kumagawa clicked the quest and immediately understood the job. He doesn't really like following orders like this but considering it was a gift from Anshin'in-san, then it is an exception. [Taming a cursed spirit? Sounds easy!] He pumped his arm in enthusiasm.

He ran to the detention center feeling giddy. Ready to cause chaos again in this game.

???

In some parts of Japan. 4 creatures can be seen walking on the bustling road yet normal people can't seem to perceive the three. If they did then screaming from fear would be the least of their reaction. Their forms are defying normal common sense as they looked more like monsters than humans. It is normal since they are cursed spirits, special class to be precise.

"Was it really necessary to go as far as using a precious finger… just to check if this boy really has potential?" One of the curses spoke or more like he is the only one capable of speaking normal language among the three. This cursed spirit is named Jogo. Jogo has a humanoid shape but his physical appearance was distinctly that of a cursed spirit.

He has a hunchback and delivers himself like an old man with a cane. The most notable about his appearance though was his head that is shaped like a mountain, specifically a volcano. His head is constantly dripping some lava as it makes the 'Blub, Blub' sound.

"Well, he is an anomaly after all. This should be useful, he is also Sukuna's vessel" the one who responded to Jogo's question was a man with long hair wearing a monk's robe. He has weird stitches on his head. He is named Suguru Geto, a special grade jujutsu sorcerer.

"Iᓭリ'ℸ ̣ ╎ℸ ̣ ⎓╎リᒷ?" Another cursed spirit spoke however his language is discernibly different from normal. This cursed spirit is called Hanami. Hanami is a large tan cursed spirit with black lines running across their entire body. Hanami has a helmet-like head that doesn't cover their teeth, branches for where the eyes are supposed to be, and two black lines that zig zag down their face. Underneath the cloth that Hanami wears, Hanami's left arm is entirely black but the fingers are white while their right fingers are black. Hanami also have a larger flower on their left shoulder. (A/N: For those who are curious, I used Standard Galatic Alphabet for Hanami's language. It is easier and seems fitting)

"You don't get to speak, bastard!! I don't even know what you are saying but understanding you somehow comes naturally to me! It gives me creeps!!" Jogo shouted to Hanami.

They finally arrived at a family restaurant where they were greeted by a staff member. "Welcome! Table for one?" the woman asked, smiling. Geto returned the smile and nodded his head, "Yes, just one"

They took seats and immediately started the conversation. Jogo mentioned the things they wanted as Geto summarized it. "In other words, your boss wants to turn the tables on today's humans… is that it?" he asked, smiling lightly.

"It's… it's a little different" Jogo spoke, tapping the table with his finger. "Humans are built from lies. There's always an underside to the emotions and action shown on the surface" he started looking serious.

"However, negative emotions… like hatred and murderous intent never lie. That is why we curses, who are born from them…" he paused for a second before continuing. "Are the Pure, Genuine, and real 'Humans'... the impostors ought to disappear" Jogo's eyes resembled a deep abyss.

Geto stared at them for a second as he spoke, "Right now the one being extinguished are you guys" he said stating facts. Jogo didn't mind that as he pointed at Geto, "That is why I am asking 'you'. How can we defeat the sorcerers?"

"Before a war breaks out, you can win if you fulfill two conditions," Geto said, raising two fingers. Jogo and the curses listened carefully. "Make Gojo Satoro unable to fight or… win over the 'Anomaly' Kumagawa Misogi" Geto smiled saying that.

"K⚍ᒲᔑ⊣ᔑ∴ᔑ... Iᓭ ⍑ᒷ ∷ᒷᔑꖎꖎ|| ℸ ̣ ⍑ᔑℸ ̣ !¡𝙹∴ᒷ∷⎓⚍ꖎ?" Hanami asked, quite curious. Geto only smirked and didn't answer.

The conversation progressed as Geto revealed his prized artifact capable of sealing Gojo Satoru. This heightened the curses' confidence. "Geto, how many fingers of Sukuna do I equal to?" Jogo asked, grinning madly. "If I overestimate then probably 8 to 9 fingers.." Geto responded.

This serves as a happy pill for Jogo. "That's sufficient! Hand me the Prison's Gate Boundary, I'll add it to my collection! Instead… I'll properly test Kumagawa Misogi!" Jogo exclaimed as the transaction was completed.

???

Kumagawa is currently running away from the security as he entered the detention center without any form of identification. "Stop, young man!! We can settle this peacefully!" One of them shouted at Kumagawa who just took his time appreciating the surroundings.

[Aha! So this is what I sensed earlier! To think a strong one would be born here. Oh, wait he consumed a finger? Fascinating!] He nodded his head confident at his judgment. While Kumagawa was thinking, the newborn Curse Womb finally woke up from its slumber.

With the awakening comes an Innate Domain. Against the will of every person in the detention center, the whole place warped and turned into something different. [Hn? Is this some kind of illusion?] Kumagawa questioned banging the steel pipes that appeared out of nowhere.

[Uh, so it is real. Cool! Domains really do change the surrounding environment! I wonder if I can learn one, what would it be? Perhaps the same one as my Book Maker?] Kumagawa questioned not knowing about the slaughter that is currently happening. No, he is aware of it yet has no intention of doing anything. Why would he do something so boring as saving people when he is the antagonist? Seems stupid.

It didn't even take a minute for the Finger Bearer to commit a genocide. No person was bestowed mercy as all of them died a pathetic death.

The curse then proceeded to its final destination which is Kumagawa. It deliberately made him last since it sensed something amiss from the boy. He is definitely the curse yet the boy appears to be more wicked than him. All of the malice in the world has gathered into this single being which baffled the Finger Bearer. It could no longer resist its curiosity so it decided to head to Kumagawa.

The place warped again and this time, the Finger Bearer descended from a hole it created. Despite being mindless and instinct-driven, it somehow understood that this boy can comprehend its whole existence. The mere thought of a human being capable of understanding a Cursed Spirit is ridiculous.

[Hey, it came to my side by itself. Thanks for the effort!] Kumagawa greeted the Finger Bearer with a huge smile on his face and hands waving in enthusiasm. This scene obviously looks complicated but since it is Kumagawa's doing, then everything suddenly makes sense.
