Jujutsu Kaisen: Exception

Shuichi, a normal man gets reincarnated to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen as a boy from the Zenin clan, except he gets thrown out of the clan as soon as he gets transmigrated. Unfortunate right? Well, lucky for him, he has a system to help him survive! How will a man with a system at hand change the world of jujutsu kaisen, and more importantly, those around him? . . . . JJK does not belong to me, I only own the oc. Some changes might be there, seeing as its a fanfic. The cover art is mine.

Hard to Kill

Yes, he was going to make the overpowered cursed technique of the equally overpowered poster boy of the Ten Shadows Technique, Mahoraga.

Mahoraga was regard as the strongest shikigami ever. Why?

Because he broke the very laws that the world was built upon, that's why. Aside from having broken levels of physical stats that transcend all human limitations, he was equipped with two very specific things.

First, was the 'Sword of Extermination', which was a weapon that was laced with such potent positive energy that any curse that came into contact with it would be obliterated without any resistance.

The very concept of positive energy is to heal and protect, unlike cursed energy which is very volatile, so being able to do that is ground breaking.

But even that is at best a party trick in front of the next thing he possesses. The 'Dharmachakra', a mysterious wheel that symbolized the eight right ways of life in Buddhism. It allowed it to adapt to any and all phenomenon without exception.

The second ability was the reason that he was so overpowered, and that no Zenin clan member to ever possess the technique had been able to tame the Mahoraga.

If you could not kill it with a single strike, you should forget that you're ever going to be able to take it down. Unless of course you have another more powerful attack which just happens to have a completely different concept than the first one.

And hence, this technique would provide Shuichi with the utmost power that we needed.

But the only think that Shuichi was worried about was the cursed technique being nerfed by the system.

Obviously the previous technique didn't receive any nerfs, but that didn't mean that none of the techniques he makes will be the same. For a technique as powerful as the power Mahoraga holds, that's going to be a problem.

Shaking his head of these useless thoughts, Shuichi began to type in the things that he wanted.

[1. The technique is active at all times.]

[2. The technique allows the user to adapt to any and all phenomenon.]

[3. The user can manifest a 'Dharmachakra' on their back, which upon spinning, grant adaptation to any phenomenon that it affecting the user.]

[4. It does not matter whether the phenomenon affecting the user is negative or positive. Anything that affects the user in any way will be adapted against, to provide as much power and protection to the user as possible.]

[5. The technique does not alter the body of the user in any way or form, except for an increase in strength, in relation to the amount of cursed energy of the user.]

When Shuichi was done with the points, he named the cursed technique as: [Hard to Kill].

Shuichi had purposefully divided the points like that. 2nd and 3rd points gave him the same ability, but he concluded that even if one of the points gets nerfed, the second might still give him the ability.

He even theorized that if he wrote the same prompt in all of the points, the technique would turn out to be far stronger than it was designed to be. After all, the jujutsu system was based on equivalent exchange. Wasting such opportunities where he could just get another ability added into the cursed technique for the same ability should give him somewhat of an upgrade right?

But be that as it may, he was not ready to experiment with it.

And after reading the description a few more times to confirm, he pressed the 'Finalize' button.

[Finalizing the technique would reduce the number of times the skill can be used by 1]

[Do you wish to continue?]

[Yes/No]

After reviewing the description one last time, he pressed Yes.

With the press of the button, he saw the number behind the skill go from (1/3) to (2/3) and a large amount of screens began flashing in front of him.

After waiting for a bit and praying for the skill to not be nerfed, a familiar screen appeared in front of him again.

[Analysing specific points deemed too unbalanced]

[!]

[Point 2 and 3 have been deemed too unbalanced!]

[Corrections will be made according to the system]

[!]

[!!!]

[Two points have been used for roughly the same descriptive power]

[Additional bonus will be provided!]

[A new description will be provided!]

[The user can adapt to any phenomenon. As the adaptation process continues, the speed of adaptation decreases. The adaptation might reach infinitesimally close to completion, but will never reach 100% completion!]

[The greater the effect on the user, the faster the adaptation process will be!]

[...]

Seeing all the notifications flash before him, Shuichi was somewhat shocked. But then, he just chose to accept it.

Ranting about it won't really help would it?

Besides, it wasn't like the technique he got was too far off from what he wanted.

The only downside of the new ability was the fact that he needed to experience any phenomenon for a long while for it to reach an acceptable level.

It was like a chemical reaction. The greater the amount of starter reactants, the faster the reaction will go. And eventually, no matter how much of the reactant has been used up, it can never be 100% spent, and neither can the product be acquired 100%.

This technique worked in the same way. Imagine someone attacked him with a very specific cursed technique. His cursed technique would start the adaptation.

The more fatal the attack would be, the greater the extent of adaptation.

As for it never reaching completion, a poison would be a better example. Imagine he was poisoned, and he couldn't get is out of his system. The technique would eventually adapt his body to sustain the poison and not have it affect him. As time passes, the poison would affect him less and less, but even then, it would never be completely ineffective. He might become 99.999999...99% immune to it, but that small part will always be left out.

Needless to say, all of the other points were still there. So the technique was completely passive in nature and his cursed technique would work to accommodate him better in anything he does. Not to mention his physical strength would increase even more, along with the added healing benefit of the technique.

A few second later, a familiar loading screen appeared in front of Shuichi, making him smile as he lay on the bed.

[0%...12%...30%...45%...57%...77%...81%...96%...100%]

[Cursed technique creation had ended!]

[You have acquired Cursed Technique: Hard to Kill!]

Immediately, Shuichi felt a fundamental change taking place within him, just like the first time he had created a technique.

But unlike the first time, in which the change felt gradual and soft, this time, it was abrupt and potent.

'Kuh!'

Grunting in a bit of pain that disappeared at the very next second, he calmed down on the bed again.

He didn't say anything and continued to look at the ceiling, as if waiting for something to happen.

And sure enough, a strange sequence of events started to unfold not long after.

Everything about him started to change as the inexorable process of adaptation took over to change everything to his benefits.

The wounds on his arm and head, albeit slowly, started to mend. As as time passed, the speed of regeneration only sped up. The would only his head was not too serious and was mended first, while the arm was taking up a quite a lot of time.

But the mending of his wounds was not the only change he was going through.

The second heart inside his 'body', a metaphysical object that pumps cursed energy started to go through adaptations. The 'strings' that were inside of the heart started to tighten and wind up together, making the cursed energy more bulky and easier to control. At the same time, the flow of the cursed energy inside of his body was becoming more streamlined, improving the quality of the passive reinforcement he gets, as well as improving his physique simultaneously.

The cursed energy he had received from the semi-second grade curse was enough for him to get the equivalent energy of a grade 3 sorcerer. The only reason he did not have the equivalent energy of a grade 2 sorcerer was that because of his [Cursed Heart], his cursed energy was a bit modified. While the other sorcerers' energy might be considered to be light and easily flowing, his was heavy and viscous. Tightly stashed together into minute strings, which although made it easier to manipulate, made the curse energy overall ineffecient to use.

But his cursed technique [Hard to Kill] was changing that at this very moment.

Everything about his cursed energy, the flow of it inside his body, the control he had, the hardwire of his brain, the strength gain from the passive strengthening, the cognitive abilities, all of them were being adjusted to suit his needs and benefit him.

But even if that were true, the only problem was...

It was way too slow.

Painfully slow. And that was the reason that...

"I don't feel any different? Was the technique nerfed too much?! Although I am healing faster and the blood flow seems to have stopped, there really isn't anything else I can feel." Shuichi said in confusion as he sat up on the bed, not feeling any pain anymore due to the wound already starting to mend.

The reason Shuichi could not feel anything, was due to the fact that the changes were so microscopic there was just no way for him to sense them. The only reason the wound was healing so well was because the blood flowing out of the wound was too much and was affecting him badly. Even then, the wound would probably take a good hour to fix properly.

If one had to put into perspective the relation between time and the amount of change brought on by the adaptation, it would be best put in this way: Even if Shuichi was to wait it out for an entire month inside his room, he would only see a few points of proficiency go up in his cursed related combat skills. As for his physique, he would probably get quite a bit stronger due to the overwhelming difference in cursed energy now, then before, but even that would stagnate after a few days of constant elevation in strength.

Obviously things would be different if he were to actually go out and fight life and death battles with curses, but Shuichi didn't exactly think about that.

Shuichi was not stupid, but he was someone who overlooked important points in emotional situations. And now, in a situation where he was so eager and excited to try out the effects of his technique, the possibility of the technique not working as he intended killed off his mood.

"...I guess that'll teach me not to get too confident and put in anything I want into the technique description..." He said to himself dejectedly and slumped his body back onto the bed. And then, he quietly went to sleep.
