Jujutsu Kaisen : Emission

Chapter 1

3rd Person POV:

[Kutsui clan's training ground]

Many children around the age of 8 were gathered inside the training compound of the Kutsui family. All the children were apprehensive but also, excited about the event that was going to start soon.

Today was the day they were going to start learning about the use of the Kutsui clan's innate cursed technique. A technique which was known throughout the sorcery world by the name of "Energy Projection".

"I am going to become the next clan head."

A statement which was repeated throughout the training ground by children who barely understood the responsibility of such position.

Kutsui clan decided the clan leader not by their heritage but, by the talent and ability for their cursed technique. It was a weird practice something no other traditional clans did nor was there need to change it even now…...in most cases.

This was not something that founders of the family wanted to practice but, were forced to do so.

Just as chatter around the children was starting to get loud, two clansmen entered the ground. Everyone of them were wearing identical black training robe which was a normal practice of the clansmen. The children were similarly dressed.

"We are going to be yours instructor for the foreseeable future. My name is Hanjo Kutsui and he is Kanjaki Kutsui."

One of the clansmen spoke in a harsh tone like he already despised every one of them. He was built of a average height with light golden eyes and balding dark brown hair despite being in his thirties. He had a permanent scowl fixated on his face. Unbeknownst to the trainees, he was using cursed technique to look even more intimidating.

"You all will be learning to master 'Neutral Emission' with us."

The other instructor, Kanjaki Kutsui, spoke up catching the attention of the children. He was completely different then the other instructor. He was still just a teen, barely seventeen. He had an above average height with brown hair and golden eyes.

Everyone started muttering to each other as they grew excited about finally learning their cursed technique.

"Silence!"

shouted the ever-scowling instructor.

"Step forward one at a time and activate 'Neutral Emission'."

He added. Nobody was willing to move. The balding instructor was looking angrier as nobody moved until a brave or maybe a foolish kid named, Akira Kutsui, stepped up. Tidy, neat black hair with soft golden eyes made him look cute.

"Use the technique boy."

Akira tried to calm his emotions by taking a deep breath. He closed his eyes and let his pure instinct guide him.

He felt some negligible amount of his cursed energy dissipate which resulted into....nothing. Atleast he thought so.

When he looked toward the instructors, they seemed to be pleased with the result.

"Next!" Called out Hanjo. Akira quickly stepped aside and sighed in relief for not messing up even though the result was anticlimactic.

Akira looked at other students trying to do the same, their result were not good if the disappointment on Hanjo's face were any indication.

"Now that we have finished testing you all, we will start with the actual training."

Kanjaki took the lead after the testing was done.

"[Cursed Emission] is a cursed technique that allows the user to make constructs out of cursed energy. These constructs require vast amount of Cursed Energy to be useful in any shape or form. The most basic constructs of this technique is 'Neutral Emission'. This technique envelops the user with purple cloak. It powers the body to a become even massively durable and allows for higher level of Cursed Energy Reinforcement."

Akira tuned out the most of the information as he already knew it. He found it interesting that except for few no one was enveloped by the purple cloak. He was too embarrassed to ask someone else if he was able to do so or not.

"Try adding more cursed energy next time you all try it."

Akira felt like an idiot as he heard that statement. 'Neutral Emission' was obviously not working because of their low cursed energy output. He just had to increase that.

He tried to use the technique once again but this time forced 'bit' more cursed energy.

*Bamm!!*

That bit more might have been too much, as the technique blasted in his face literally. Sadly Akira was already unconscious being flung away.

"Shit!."

Hanjo cursed before quickly moving toward Akira's unconscious body. He hastily checked the damaged on Akira's body.

Hanjo discovered that the boy had suffered from massive amount of damage. Explosions in first few training session was a usual occurrence but, in his whole life he had not never seen such an explosive failure.

"We should have been more careful"

Hanjo muttered to himself. Atleast he thought so.

"Yes, we should have. I will be taking the kid, you continue the training here."

Kanjaki spoke from behind him. Hanjo felt a surge of annoyance and anger at being ordered by someone younger than himself. He quickly hid those emotions before, turning toward Kanjaki and handing over Akira.

"…..Yes….,sir."

Without minding the bitterness in Hanjo's tone, Kanjaki quickly sped toward the center of the Kutsui clan where the hospital was located. This hospital was a normal hospital as their were no positive energy user in the clan which was perfectly normal. Thankfully, that would suffice.

Kanjaki handed Akira to a nurse and provided a brief explanation to her.

Kanjaki had been surprised at the application of 'Neutral Emission' by Akira. It was very good for a first use by a eight year old boy.

Kanjaki was present there to select the elite talent from the group of children. What he had failed to consider was Akira's Cursed Energy reserve and his output. Those variable made Akira into one of the best talent of his generation or maybe the entire history of the Kutsui clan.
