CHAPTER 13: STRENGTHENING BONDS

The school bell chimed, signaling the end of another day of classes. Sana, shouldering her bag, glanced out the window, the golden hues of the late afternoon sun casting a warm glow over the campus. Beside her, Suguru gathered his belongings, his usual calm demeanor a comforting presence.

"Suguru, do you have a moment?" Sana asked, her voice tinged with a hint of urgency.

As they made their way out of the classroom and towards the school gates, Sana recounted the events of the past few days, how Akagi had come to her aid when she faced bullying, and the subsequent friendship that had blossomed between them.

"Suguru, I wanted to tell you about Akagi," Sana began, her words measured yet earnest. "He's been there for me in ways I can't fully express. When I was cornered by those bullies, it was Akagi who stepped in fearlessly, standing up for me without a moment's hesitation. He's more than just a friend now; he's someone I deeply trust and respect."

Suguru listened attentively, his expression softening with understanding. Though he harbored reservations about Akagi, he couldn't deny the sincerity in Sana's words or the depth of the bond she shared with him.
