"Excuse me... Was that you at the movie theater?" A boy named Junpei asked Mahito in an alleyway next to the movies.

"You...Can see me?" Mahito smiled.

*Outside of the Movie Theater

"It's a gruesome scene. Are you ready?" a man in a sit whose name was Mahito asked Azure.

"Yeah."

*2 Hours before

'If there was a button for killing the people I dont like, I wouldn't be able to press it.' Junpei thought as he walked into the theater.

'But if there was a button for killing the people who don't like me, I wouldn't hesitate.'

"Dammit..." He said as he entered the theater looking at his three bullies who were sitting in front of him.

'High schoolers... shouldn't be skipping class to watch movies. well, neither should I...' He thought.

'And why'd it have to be them...' He thought remembering the events that happened yesterday.

"He was looking at my boobs!" A girl exclaimed talking to the three bullies in the back of the building looking at Junpei who lay on the floor beaten up.

"Well, your boobs bounce when you run!" One of the bullies smiled.

"Totally!"

"Yo, shut up!"

"So... did you look?" One of the bullies asked Junpei.

"No," He answered.

*WHACK

The bullies kicked Junpei in the face.

"Are you calling Tsubasa a liar?!"

"Yike's is that even fair...?" the other bullies asked laughing as he watched.

'Dammit... That girl... She's just using me... to confirm her status,' Junpei thought.

'I'm gonna say it... I'm gonna say it!'

"You're not as cute as you think you are. You guys know that. But you still flatter her... because she looks... easy," Junpei said to the group.

The bullies all ganged up on him beating him.

'I can't focus on the movie...' Junpei thought looking at the group, as they were talking loudly.

'Shut up!' He thought annoyed as they kept talking.

"Hey, guys," Mahito said appearing behind the three.

"Let's mind our manners, okay?" Mahito smiled.

*GRRKK

Out of nowhere, Mahito touched all the bullies disforming and killing all three of them.

Junpei saw the man leave out the movie not paying attention to what he did.

After the movie, Junpei went over to the three noticing something was wrong.

"Wha... What happened?" Junpei said looking at the three in panic.

'Was it that guy who did it? There's no way a person could do that...!'

'If he did it... He must not be human.'

*Present time

"If im the one who did it, what're you gonna do? Judge me? Were those guys... important to you?" Mahito asked.

Junpei remembered what his bullies did to him, beating him, making him eat bugs, and just doing anything to torment him.

He got angry.

"Could I... do what you did?" Junpei asked.

"Can you see them? The residuals of cursed energy," Nanami asked Azure as they walked through the movie theater.

Azure looked seeing small traces of footsteps and other things that curses left behind.

"Yeah... I can see it," Azure answered.

"ensing before seeing is standard for one who is capable," Nanami said not impressed.

"..." Azure looked at him blankly.

"I won't praise or insult you. I am here to identify the truth and uphold the law," Nanami said as he began to walk further down the hall, Azure followed right behind him.

"There was a time when I thought society had the same goals. But that's a story for another time. Let's follow the trace," Nanami said.

"Alright," Azure said clutching his sword that was on his side.

"No need to get so excited," Nanami said.

Azure slowly put his hand down that was on his sword.

'It doesn't seem like we're getting along well...' Azure thought as he remembered what Gojo said.

*Flashback

"I was going to come with you for this so you could get some more in-field experience but I can't. sorry, but I've brought a reliable protege to take my place!" Gojo exclaimed

"Office worker dropout, Sorcerer Nanami!" Gojo said putting an arm around Nanami.

"Please dont call me that," Nanami said unamused.

"there's a lot of weirdos among the Jujutsu Sorcerers. but Nanami here is a former office worker, so he's reliable," Gojo told Azure.

"I wonder what the other would think hearing you say that?" Nanami said.

"Drop-out... Why didn't you start as a Jujutsu Sorcerer?" Azure asked.

"Why don't we introduce ourselves?" Nanami replied.

"Oh, sorry. Nice to meet you, I'm Azure."

"Nice to meet you, Azure... What I learned at Jujutsu High... Is that Jujutsu Sorcerers are idiots." Nanami said confusing Azure.

"And what I realized while at the office... Is that working idiotic?"

"... Oh, really..."

"So I took the lesser of the two evils. Nothing more, nothing less."

"He's so gloomy," Gojo whispered to Azure.

"Yeah..." Azure said lowly.

"Azure... Thought Gojo and I think differently... I trust him and have faith in him," Nanami told him making Gojo smile cockily.

Azure side-eyed Gojo.

"But I don't respect him," Nanami said.

"What–?!"

"I'm not a fan of the way things are run, but I follow the rules. Sorry for rambling. For that reason... I don't acknowledge you as a Jujutsu Sorcerer." Nanami said making Azure pay more attention.

"Prove to me that you can be useful... Despite an evil demon dragon Kuro inside of you."

"I'm weak... I've been hearing and seeing a lot of that these days. But I've become a little stronger and I'll become even stronger. If I don't then I won't be able to protect what I love. So I'll be sure to prove you wrong... Just have patience in me," Azure told Nanami his voice filled with determination.

"There wasn't anything caught on video, right?" Azure asked as the two walked up the stairs.

"Other than the victims, there was only one witness–– a boy," Nanami replied.

"Could it be a cursed spirit?" Azure asked.

"Most likely. Although it's possible that the boy could be responsible. The police are investigating where––"

Nanami was interrupted as the two opened the doors to the roof to see a Curse right in front of them.

"Bentooo...."

Azure put his hand on his sword.

"Stop," Nanami said making Azure halt in his movements.

"I'll take care of this. Azure... I'll leave that one to you," Nanami said making Azure look behind him to see another curse behind a wall.

"Gooood... Detergent."

"If you think you're in trouble, let me know," Nanami said.

Azure looked at the weak curse for a second before looking back at Nanami.

"Have some faith in me, will you?" Azure asked.

"It's not about faith. I'm an adult you're a child. I have an obligation to look after you." Nanami said.

"A child? I'd rather be underestimated."

"You've survived multiple near-death experiences... but that does not make you an adult. Finding more and more stray hairs on your pillow than before... your local store no longer carrying your favorite bread... Experiencing those little losses... is what helps people grow into adults," Nanami said as he took out his wrapped machete.
