One of the best novel with out any doubt. This is political novel with great world, character and story development. Also characters in this story, I had found them to be pretty intelligence and interesting at the same time. Everyone must give this novel a chance atleast once. Regardless many may not found it to be slow moving and not their type of story, but still give it a shot. For this is undoubtly a great story none the less.

Unique transmigration novel with unique characters (MC as well as several side characters). I don't clearly understand why everyone wants character development in a novel but I like most of the novels with unique characters and their interactions. By the way this novel has one of the most intriguing interactions.

This story is at the same level as Release the Witch, the King's Avatar, Lord of Mysteries, Superstars of Tomorrow. Each character is very well crafted and detailed. They all have their own unique traits and personality. The world background is set in stone. It is not like not cr*p novels where it just keeps expanding. The cultivation in this novel and the power structure is incredibly built out. There is no one in this story that can wipe out the world. There are people who are extremely powerful but in the end they are still mortal. They age like everyone else and will eventually fall. Thank you for such an incredible story.

Decent book - just wanted to let people know that there's actually a Chinese drama made out of this!!! My mom used to watch and I just felt a sense of deja vu while reading... I think it's called 庆余年? You should probably be able to find it on YouTube.

This is so cultured and rich in terms of breath and depth. The plot, character development, and humor was very well thought out not too mention how refreshing the content is! It's also kinda woke and I'm here for it!

This novel is a surprise hidden gem on this website. I'd say few meet the quality of the novel on this website. You have well defined and fleshed out characters who rarely feel one dimensional. They all act on their own reasons and the way they act doesn't seem all too illogical. The main character isn't an arrogant twat who whacks every person he meets nor do the people he meet try to kill him off for either no reason whatsoever or the stupidest one you can think of. I like how it is about 120 chapters in, and I'd definitely recommend this to people who are looking for a wuxia story with an actual plot, scheming and a setting similar to that of the ancient China. There is however one thing that I very much dislike in this story, and I cringe every time I see it. That being the words the translator uses to describe anything related to a woman. I dont know if this is how Mao Ni(the author) actually wrote it but... I mean seriously? Luscious lips? Lovely tongue? Fragrant smell? Like just call them what they are mate... Oh and women do not smell fragrant when they sweat, they stink just like men. That is how human body works.

The story starts a bit slow however it really comes into itself later on. Various subplots are a bit subtle, but there are amazing character backgrounds and romance. The use of chinese poetry and more recent cultural references are awesome. Very different from I am a superstar but pretty good

Good novel. I thought it was just gonna be one bad novel that I might abandoned upon reading a few chapter, but it turns out to be outstanding. The political scheme, the power struggle, and the martial world makes it informative.

I have read a lot of novels, but I have seen none that outline the cause step by step like *JOY OF LIFE* It explain and portrayed the political balance and scheming

I really love how the author makes everything so real, the life of our Mc is described with great details along with the story, that you will indescribably feel that you are one with the story. You will absolutely be addicted to in no time.
