Julian decided to leave and let Gyarados explore Alola. Gyarados is a lot more independent since Julian left him on his private island and he rules over a vast area around Julian's island.
So Julian has no worry about Gyarados adapting to the waters here in Alola, there is nothing in these waters that can be trouble for Gyarados.
Julian returned to his hotel room with no worries and decided to take the rest of the day off.
While Julian enjoyed his free time doing nothing, his Gyarados went on and started exploring the vast waters of Alola.
Unlike Kanto, the water temperature here is much warmer, so Gyarados is having a fun time swimming around.
His presence is, of course, noticed by the native pokemons of this sea and they are very wary of him as a new apex predator has entered their territory, and just seeing the size of this behemoth scared most of them
The top dogs of this sea also found out about the massive Gyarados that have come into their territory and they are not going to back away without a fight.
A dominant territorial pokemon always has a very vast territory under its domain and another alpha pokemon is not allowed to enter.
Once such pokemon enters, there will always be a power struggle between these two pokemons as both being apex predators will not share their food source.
And this is also true here in the waters of Alola as well, but since Alola is such a huge area with multiple shores, its territory is divided among four kings of the sea.
And it has been so for years now, each one of them is equally strong, so none of them is able to take over the other's territory, which has led them to a stalemate.
But now everything has changed because of another apex predator that has entered their territory. With another big mouth to feed, the fight for resources will start again.
While Gyarados continued to explore his new habitat, he wasn't aware that the two rulers of this sea came in contact with each other to discuss the current dilemma that they are facing.
Near the coast of Akala island, two very powerful pokemon crossed each other's path for the sole reason of taking out the intruder that has entered their territory.
These two pokemons are Samurott and Kingdra. Kingdra's territory is vast and covers a very large area, all the way from Melemele island to Akala island.
Samurott also has a massive area that it rules over, as its area connects Akala and Ula Ula island.
These two pokemons are quite new to their position of power, as they acquired it very recently by dethroning the previous rulers. These two are also very ambitious and have fought each other, but were not able to get an upper hand over the other, which led to their current stalemate.
These two could be described as enemies, but right now they don't care about their animosity towards each other as a bigger threat is looming over them.
Samurott [Is it true, about this new pokemon in your territory?]
The Samurott asked.
Kingdra [Yes, I have not seen it personally, but some of my followers have seen it.]
Kingdra replies.
Samurott [What is it?]
Kingdra [A Gyarados]
Hearing that this intruder is a Gyarados causes the Samurott to tense up a little, Gyaradoses are very dangerous pokemons, and wherever they reside, they dominate that area.
Gyarados are also the bullies of the sea and they will attack any pokemon that crosses their path, so a Gyarados entering their territory is not a pleasant scenario.
Samurott [A Gyarados? That is going to be troublesome.
Kingdra [That's not the only thing we should be concerned about.
Kingdra warns
Samurott [Don't tell me it's a lounge of Gyarados?]
(A/N - A group of lizards is called a Lounge)
Samurott asked with a concerned tone. It is known that some Gyaradoses like to travel in groups and can be very aggressive. They like to take over a pokemon's territory and then completely deviate the territory from its resources and move away.
Kingdra [No, there is only one, but from what I heard this Gyarados is massive]
Samurott [How big?]
Kingdra [My follower said that it's over 15 meters long and is red in color]
Kingdra says with concern.
Samurott [15 meters? You are not joking, right?]
Kingdra [That's what my follower said]
Samurott [He said, and you believed it?]
Kingdra [He has no reason to lie to me, but I will still try to see with my own eyes and if it's really is 15 meters, we will need a lot more help]
Samurott [You go and do that. If this Gyarados is really 15 meters long, we are fucked.]
Samurott says and leaves the Kingdra alone to contemplate the current situation.
With no other option other than checking it out itself, the Kingdra decided to search for this Gyarados and see if what it heard was true or not.
Kingdra's territory is vast so it will have a hard time finding a Gyarados, but if the rumors are true, finding a 15 meters long Gyarados won't be that hard.

Currently, Gyarados has found a nice space to chill that is filled with corals and small pokemons are swimming around feeding on them.
These small pokemons are not afraid of the massive Gyarados because they know that they are not its prey, a pokemon of this huge stature won't feed on small pokemon like them, so they continued to feed on these corals without much worry.
But Gyarados' presence surprised them. Seeing such a huge pokemon is a rare sight. The only thing that they have seen closer to Gyarados is a Wailord, but Wailords are also very rare out here.
Some brave little pokemons even approached Gyarados's head as they got curious about the shiny stone on Gyarados' forehead and wondered if it is some kind of treasure because of the energy it is radiating.
Gyarados didn't mind these pokemons getting close to him as he wasn't threatened by them in any way shape or form, he just continued to chill with his eyes closed but he suddenly felt a foreign gaze on him making him open his eyes and look at the direction from where he is being watched at.
And he saw it, a pokemon glaring at him with hostility, but he then proceeded to ignore it, seeing it was just a weak Kingdra.
