Chapter Two: Strange

I open my eyes to find myself sweating

profusely and then i looked up only to see two unfamiliar eyes staring at me.

"he seems to be awake". one of the unfamiliar person said.

"can you hear us? the second one who seems to be an older woman asked.

"where am I? i asked the older man and woman who seems to be a couple.

"you're safe now. please do not panic". The woman said wiping my head with a wet towel.

"What happened to me?" I asked them

"Well my husband who went fishing saw you floating on the water almost lifeless and decided to bring you home". The woman explained.

"Well..." clearing his throat, the man continued "can you remember anything like your name or where you come from?" the man asked.

"I can't remember anything". I lied because i don't trust anyone after what happened to me.

"Okay...do you remember your name?" the man asked again looking worried.

"i think... Jediah". I said not wanting to give my full name which is Jedidiah.

"Okay then Jediah, my name is Gary and this is my wife Maggie". he said introducing his wife and himself.

"Jediah it would be nice if you stay with us if you don't mind in order for you to recover quickly". Maggie said feeling so excited.

"We will take our leave now so you can rest and we will be back to answer any question you have as i presume you might have some". Gary said helping his wife up to her feet as they exit.

"wow, this is strange and how can it be that i am still alive". I muttered to myself standing up to look at my reflection in the mirror.

I am still myself but the only difference is that I'm a bit older and my muscles are well built like I've been working out. It seems so strange too that there's no burn or scald my skin.

it's like i was never in that fire.

I thought of how i was burnt alive and the pain i felt. I still couldn't believe that I'm alive and I'm not dead and I'm also not dreaming because I've tried pinching and slapped myself several just to make sure that I'm truly not dreaming.

I began to look around my room. The room is very simple. it contains a reading table and a chair and also a small bed covered in grey spread sheet. The curtains are light and also grey.

And then i looked at the floor which was wooden and i also looked at the ceiling which seems like the house is a cottage.

I was still looking around my room when i heard a faint knock 'knock knock'.

"please come in". I answered walking back to my bed.

Just then i see a beautiful lady walking towards me with a tray containing food i guess. I think she's the most beautiful lady i have ever seen.

Her eyes were like the deep blue sea and her perfectly carved brows and then her lips red as cherry and plump and hair as dark as the night and the length to her waist and finally her skin as fair as what i can't ever imagine.

"Hello". The beautiful lady said smiling and dropping the the food on the table in front of me.

"h..hi". I said stuttering.

"I'm so glad that you are awake because you were unconscious for about a month". she said furrowing her brows.

"oh i didn't know". I said still staring at her intently.

"my name is Kimorah but you can call me Kim for short". The beautiful said still smiling.

"What a beautiful name Kim". I said still locked in her eyes.

"Thank you umm...what's your name?" she replied confused on what to call.

"Call me Jediah". I said chuckling at how nervous she is.

She began serving the food with her head bowed. She seems so shy and it amuses me.

"umm...you have to it now so you can take your medicine". she said still feeling shy.

I chuckled at how shy she was.

"Please take a seat". i said pointing at the space beside me cause she has been standing since she came.

"I'm okay standing and besides I'll soon take my leave". she said with her head bowed.

"Please sit, i won't bite". I chuckled

"it's better i take my leave umm... sir Jediah. I promise to visit tomorrow". She said about to leave.

"Please call me Jediah and cut the sir crap". I smiled.

"okay Jediah see you tomorrow and please enjoy your food". She said and left.

I began eating the food and thinking about the lady that just swept me off my feet and to be honest i can't wait to see her tomorrow.
