Qi Sea

Tang Yin had arrived at the second part of the Basics of Cultivation book. This second part depicted the Cultivation Realms and the basic description of each realm.

The first realm of cultivation was the Spirit Channelling Realm. This cultivation realm was split into 9 stages. Cultivators would reach the 1st stage of this realm upon awakening their Martial Spirits.

To advance towards the 2nd and even further stages of the Spirit Channelling Realm, cultivators would have to familiarise themselves with their Martial Spirits.

A cultivator's Martial Spirit would take shape based on their personality. New cultivators would just have to understand themselves to understand their Martial Spirit on a deeper level, they could use this technique to reach the first few stages of the Spirit Channelling.

Advancing further in the Spirit Channelling Realm was not just a matter of understanding one's Martial Spirit, it also depended on the amount of strength one could utilise from their Martial Spirit.

The more strength that could be harnessed and the higher the understanding of one's Martial Spirit, the further one could advance in the Spirit Channelling Realm, until they reached the 9th stage.

Once one had reached the peak of the 9th stage of the Spirit Channelling realm, they could bring out the full strength of their Martial Spirit, this also meant they had completely understood themselves and their Martial Spirits.

The Physique Transformation Realm was the next stage of cultivation for a cultivator. Like the Spirit Channelling Realm, the Physique Transformation Realm also consisted of 9 stages.

To break into the Physique Transformation Realm, a cultivator would have to form a Qi Sea. A cultivator would successfully reach the 1st stage of the Physique Transformation Realm upon forming their Qi Sea.

According to the book, most families had a Training Manuel. This Training Manuel would contain a method to absorb the Qi from the world and form a Qi Sea within the lower abdomen of one's body.

Training Manuals were the core secret of a family, they would not reveal it to outsiders and keep it within the inner circle of their family.

Training Manuals were also divided into 9 Tiers with the 9th Tier being a common manual and the 1st Tier being a priceless treasure. The speed at which cultivators could absorb Qi from the world depended on the tier of the Training Manual they utilised.

The speed at which a cultivator absorbed Qi from the world was essential as it decided the time required to advance their cultivation and by how much their cultivation advanced by.

The appearance of a high-tier Training Manual would cause war and mass bloodshed. This war and bloodshed would continue until a powerful family or powerful person enough to deter the world obtained the Training Manual.

Forming a Qi Sea also had a large amount of danger, which was why there were not many Physique Transformation Realm cultivators in the 3 main families of Maple Leaf City.

When one starts the process of creating a Qi Sea, they will be faced with a bottleneck, this bottleneck would appear in the form of an invisible barrier. The potential of a person also played a critical role in this process.

If one's potential was mediocre, the bottleneck they would face in their attempt to form a Qi Sea would be like a huge barrier. If one's potential was high, then the bottleneck they would face in their attempt to form a Qi Sea would be akin to a thin sheet of paper.

This was also why the tier of one's Martial Spirit mattered, those who had a Tier 9 Martial Spirit would have virtually no chance to form a Qi Sea. While those with a high-tier Martial Spirit would have a high chance of forming a Qi Sea.

Most cultivators at the 9th stage of the Spirit Channelling Realm with a 9th Tier Martial Spirit did not dare to attempt to form a Qi Sea, they would rather be stuck at the 9th stage their whole lives. The reason for this was because once one failed to form their Qi Sea, the energy gathered in their lower abdomen would explode, resulting in the cultivator's body being obliterated.

Once a cultivator formed their Qi Sea, they would instantly reach the 1st stage of the Physique Transformation Realm. They could then use the Training Manual to continue absorbing Qi from the world or Spirit Stones. The Qi absorbed would then be stored and transformed into a cultivator's own Qi inside of their Qi Sea.

Cultivators would then be able to use this Qi to cast Martial Skills during a battle or to refine their bodies to advance their cultivation.

The aim of the Physique Transformation Realm was to refine a cultivator's body with their own Qi to allow their body to become strong enough to truly fuse with their body and spirit.

It was also stated, every time a cultivator broke through to the next big realm, for example, from Spirit Channeling Realm into the Physique Transformation Realm. The said cultivator would have their lifespan increased by 10x the number of remaining years they had left.

For example, if a cultivator had 50 years of his lifespan remaining and broke into the Physique Transformation Realm from the Spirit Channeling Realm. They would have their remaining lifespan increased by 10x, meaning the cultivator would have 500 years of lifespan left. If the cultivator could not break into the next realm within 500 years, they would die of old age.
