Journey The Different Races pt. 1

Humans

The predominant form of life in the world and by far the most influential factor in the cultivation of magics and sciences.

Humanity is also the main factor why the world is gradually becoming plagued with the universal threat to life they dubbed as Gwyllions (Night-wanderers).

Humanity itself has created a subspecies of itself as they developed through the ages, and the subcategory of humans are: Sorcerers, Revenants, Demris, and Cerenian.

Fens / Fenris

A species of anthropomorphic animals that coincide with humanity, living amongst them.

Sadly, coexistence is not as sweet as it seems, as humanity treated the Fenris as nothing more than slaves at first. It could have something to do with man's innate desire to tame beasts and was exacerbated by prejudice and experience of enslaving other men.

Though as the ages went by, the enslavement of Fenris became an issue that's now currently being tackled.

Dems / Demris

If man had vile innate desires, then it should also be noted that there are some people who treated Fenris as equal to them. A Fenris and a human having a relationship was not uncommon, more-so now. Because of that a new race established itself, a half of both worlds and an existence that proves that there is coexistence to be had where both sides stand equal.

Sorcerers

Are ancient humans possessing a strong connection with Gaia that they've been made nigh immortal because of it. With a tremendous amount of Vis in them as well as ability to absorb it, sorcerers are thought to be one of the most powerful entities in the world. It's a shame that they are few and far between.

Revenants

Vile hollow-humans with no soul. They're people who died with enough resentment that they were brought back in a state of purgatory, neither living nor dead. Their flesh does not rot and they cannot be killed by normal means as their bodies can't be damaged by conventional weapons, only something made divine can hurt them.

These creatures of hate have no soul to move their body, instead they're fueled by their grudge and hate, yet they retain much of their intelligence before falling from grace.

Cerenians

A race of abnormally strong humans with a distinguishing feature of having red hair. Supposedly rumored to have started of as a tribe of humans worshiping the sun god, the Cerenians were then blessed by the god to have strength to overwhelm any regular man.

Demons

Horned creatures born from Helkarim, a realm of fire and brimstone. They're typically proficient in all forms of magic as well as transformations and display strengths that could easily overwhelm a Cerenian.

Fae / Faeries

Are humanoid creatures possessing a high affinity with nature and the elements. Regarded as the messengers of gods and at times familiars for witches and companions for magicians. Often though they're simply guardians of a forest, rivers, lakes, and mountains.

Florians

Humanoid plant creatures born from the presence of vis. Florians are a race of plant people who live in large communities in rainforests and jungles. Rarely do a Florian finds itself alone, but when it does it will look for a companion.
