The Inside

The tower itself seemed to be very very old, as the entire tower seemed to be on the verge of collapse. Not minding this the two stepped into the tower and looked around. First thing they noticed was that most of this room seemed to be filled with sand, and in a corner of the room was a hole leading down underground but next to it was a staircase going up.

After looking at the hole for a brief moment the pair carefully began to head up the stairs. Managing to make it to the second floor with very little difficulty they were confronted with a dark hallway. Halfway through the hallway was a turn leading to the right and on the left wall was a door. Standing in front of the door was a set of armor.

As Febbs very carefully analyzed the situation, he decided he cant see anything out of the norm and began walking down the hallway. Since Shalador felt he had no other choice he began following shortly behind.

Already knowing that something is going to pop out at him Febbs grabbed his sword and swung it towards the not moving suit of armor. As his sword came into contact with the metal armor the blade scratched across the suit and left a very slight marking on them. Even though the armor didn't seem to react Febbs continued to slash at it.

Taking a step back, he looked slightly stunned at the suit of armor and after carefully looking at it turned to face Shalador, "I really thought it was going to move"

"... it is"

"What?" Feeling something slam into his back Febbs was flung a few ft forward before catching himself and turning to the suit of armor that is now moving " I KNEW IT!"

The suit of the armor began moving again and slammed once more into Febbs sending him back a few ft then continued moving towards Shalador. Not wanting to be smacked around by the hunk of metal Shalador created a ball of flames and fired it towards the armor suit.

The suit rushed straight through the flames and locked itself onto Shalador, grappling him and once he was contained by the armor it started squishing him slowly.

The pain coming from the crushing arms of metal was staring to get to much for Shalador and so he began chanting one of his spells. Streaks of thunder began to coarse through his Shaladors body and on his command they exploded out causing the suit of armor to be flung backwards and the previously approaching Febbs to be knocked back as well "Oops, sorry Febbs"

Not minding the thunder Febbs brushed himself off and ran towards the suit of armor once more. while doing so e took a jump up and began doing a large swing with his sword. Right before his sword smashed into the armor red thunder burst out from his blade smashing into the armor as well, after the blade hit Febbs quickly kicked the suit away from himself and took a quick breath ready for more.

After the suit was kicked away it crashed into the wall falling apart giving the pair a moment to catch their breaths.

After catching his breath Shalador turned towards the other hallway, checking to see if there were are more of those armor suits waiting around.

Febbs kind of inspecting the armor not quite willing to touch it questioned "Do you think we can wear the armor set?"

"I doubt it, you can still try though"

"Mm, okay" When Febbs came into contact with the suit of armor a his hand suddenly started to tingle then burn making him take his hand back "I don't think we can... maybe you can though"

"Yeah no thanks, I dont think I can. Anyways their seems to be a few rooms in here, want to check them out?"

Standing up and walking next to Shalador, Febbs nodded lightly. Seeing his acknowledgement Shalador began heading to the first and biggest door. Opening it up he found a large desk in the center of the room, with papers scattered across the desk and floor. Shalador slowly walked to the papers and picked a few up

[Day 31: Its been about a month since I was assigned as captain at this outpost. So far not much has occurred other then a few small scale demon attacks.]

[Day 84: The men are starting to grow bored of not having anything to do, they spend most of their time relaxing or playing games with one another.]

[Day 102: The first large scale attack happened today. We managed to hold them off with heavy casualty's. Near of the end a battle a image seemed to appear of... ]

By the end of the last entry the words seem to have faded to much to be able to read much to Shaladors disappointment. Elsewhere Febbs was opening one of the other doors and discovered that other then a few beds not much was in that room, leaving only one room left and the floors above. "Anything in your room?"

"Not much just someones journal it would seem. What about you?"

"Just a couple of beds, not even soft beds too. So are we checking this last door then heading up?"

"Might as well, we probably wont lose anything from opening a door" By the end of his sentence however all the confidence was gone from Shaladors voice.

Once they opened the door they found that other then a few weapons which were too dull to use nothing else was in the room. While leaving the room Febbs muttered silently "Honestly this room was disappointing"

While they headed up the stairs the voice in their head got so loud that it sounded like it was screaming at this point 'Find the rest... rebuild the body... destroy the heavens'. Once they reached the top of the stairs they realized what was causing the voice to suddenly grow louder
