Chapter 4: Interesting Discovery.

~Soul POV~

When I left outside my small home, I immediately began to search ahead to find the young blacksmith according to the flyer that one of the [Harvest] units gave me. Still odd though someone would request this?

But hey at least I won't have to worry much about it I mean we do leave I think a dark world at the very least.

Walking around according to the flyer I managed to find the young blacksmith he frowns at me annoyed as he spoke, "Ah. It's just Soul what would you want now brat. Going to talk about your family line again?"

Ok, I'm starting to seriously think that the body I inhabit is a trashy human being from what I'm seeing. Whatever it's not like people are going to care much since that old version of whoever that was is dead.

Shaking my head, I began to talk again as if I knew about it but denied it for the time being as I waved the flyer at him as I spoke sincerely, "Sorry young Blacksmith but no. I'm here for the job you have requested about getting some iron ores. I was wondering if you can tell me where I could exactly find them is all?"

Now he looked at me with surprise then suspicion at me as he glares at me pointing at my chest as I raised an eyebrow, "Now don't go fooling me brat. When do you suddenly care about doing some work?"

I'm starting to question what this person has done to offend some people now.

Having to answer the question to the man in front of me I replied with some honesty but some confusion of this talk, "Since I needed the cash. Look I just need to get some Lien and seeing your flyer I thought it looked easy to collect some iron ores. Now then blacksmith can you tell where exactly the place is are the iron ores are at?"

After some convincing, the guy told me where to find them is somewhere in the cave's outskirts of the village somewhere along some river path he said I'll notice. Sure…

Leaving the village was the easy part as I have my revolver but I ain't a dumbass to use it in the very open. However, my relationship in the village of Kuroyuri was certainly someone who has a bad one it seems.

And what did the blacksmith say using my family's influence? I know for a fact that there are some call numbers on them, but the sad thing is though why should I? If this guy's body had the gull to call his parents out why isn't he living with them?

Could be plenty of reasons but as of now, I have none that are helpful for the time being. And even if the host original body would know it's kind of too late since he's dead meaning I'm still by myself.

So… nothing pretty much changed in my situation…

Glancing at the plant life in the area as well as the trees everywhere I had a few of the [Harvest] units to search around while I have a majority of them just following me. Better to have the numerical advantage against these Grimm.

Now those I have time to study about according to what the Scrolls says about them are in lack of better words… lacking. Humanity is unaware of the origins of Grimm in general of the lack of info on them.

Ancient Human cultures believed the Grimm to be animals possessed by evil spirits or even the tortured spirits of animals themselves. Further study has disproved this theory over time due to the discovery of certain species of Grimm which have no animal counterparts, such as Creeps and Griffons.

But with the discovery of new types of Grimm every day, scientists are left with more questions than answers. Grimm comes in a variety of shapes and sizes; the latter appearing to mostly be a factor of age. Grimm is very biodiverse as different individuals may be born with less size, armor, spikes, etc. Some Grimm can evolve into stronger versions of themselves.

Grimm is said to be the only creatures without souls, thus being deprived of the use of Aura, but they make up for this with strength, durability, and savagery. Some Grimm even has special abilities such as possession or usage of lightning and fire.

Grimm is stated to be attracted to generally negative feelings such as sadness, hostility, anger, and fear, and even congregate in areas that, although Humanity has long since abandoned, still hold residual traces of these feelings.

Which is incredibly stupid of them to get rid of in my opinion.

IF humanity has forgotten the feelings of sadness, hostility, anger, and most important fear then we are fucked. Those emotions are also the driving force we need to advance as people not like total cold-hearted –

And now suddenly I realize what the villagers meant by emotions now since I did skim through Atlas laws forbidding them from having emotions and are cold-hearted…

Shaking my head of thoughts for the time being I observe the area around myself as I follow the river around these parts as I carefully make my way to the cave that the blacksmith told me about where to find them, "Ok let's see here where do I find that damn cave by now. Let's see where exactly is that –"

"Grr…"

That doesn't sound the least friendly now isn't it?

*Thud*

A loud sound of stomping was heard in my ears as I curse my luck of such a thing to occur right now. Calm down Soul it's time to show this Grimm whose boss.

Calming my nerves I glance around to see some kind of bear of sorts with white armor as it roars at me without hesitation bringing out my Stand [Harvest] all 500 of these little worker bees!

"ROAR!!"

Moving back quickly I finally see it wasn't one no it would be too easy, wouldn't it?

Because I see more than about 7 or 8 of them as they came charging towards me… you know it would be worrying if it weren't the fact that I have 500 and 1 against them.

The 501 vs the 8 reject Yogi Bears. One winner and total loser.

Quickly drawing out my revolver for safety as a last resort I gave my command to [Harvest] as they acted quickly without missing a beat, "[Harvest] attack full force no need to hold back! Aim for the heads with your needles injecting them with pressurized air!"

Stupid I know.

Unfortunately for me though that [Harvest] is a colony-based Stand so I have been left with no choice to give them orders to fight in battles. These kinds of stands are good for numbers but in fights, the user needs to be off the battle.

Colony Stands are comprised of multiple units, each able to function entirely on its own. The entirety of the colony constitutes a single Stand, and as a result, their power is divided. Similarly, damage to the user is proportional to the population size of the Stand; the higher amount of units, the less damage is transferred when a unit is damaged.

Thanks to their number, Colony Stands can be used to overwhelm an enemy by attacking from multiple directions, the User not fearing damage since as long as even one unit remains, they won't die. When a standability is used on a colony stand the effect is also dispersed, and sometimes resisted, as [Sex Pistols] resisted the effects of Prosciutto's aging ability.

But like most Colony Stands though they do need to issue commands for some of them to work the case is the same for my [Harvest]. Fortunately for me though Grimm is dumb creatures and wouldn't be intelligent enough to go for me but go after the stands.

And thanks to having 500 of them the damage to me is minimized in the process if they could even harm a Stand.

"Hee hee!"

*PEW*

*PEW*

"Found it!"

*PEW*

"Hee hee!"

"ROAR!!"

That was when I saw all of them act as they started to tear apart the eight Grimm bears to pieces but also some shooting into their heads filled with pressurized air into their heads. But they also began to rip them apart at a very fast pace.

Then again that is expected from this stand although the damage is very little to them… but having a total of all 500 of them for battle then that's a different story. Even though their small and don't pack much of a punch they are still deadly as they can fly around the Grimm freely from mid-air.

Seeing their stingers just injecting air into their heads seems to do some damage. Like is said SOME damage but not enough to completely kill them as I made sure to situate myself to ensure I have some space but also enough to have [Harvest] come protect me at the same time.

I don't want to be ambushed by these Grimm but I can certainly feel the sweat on my face just actually meeting one of them. There is a great thing in having safety in numbers but I also took time to observe how they act.

*Swoosh*

*Swoosh*

"Grr…"

From the looks of things, they can somehow see my Stands as they are targeting them specifically instead of me…. That is quite an interesting situation is it perhaps…

Hmm…

Maybe it's drawn to the fighting spirit of the Stand itself by chance?

A Stand is a visual manifestation of life energy, in other words, the manifestation of the soul of the user… Was there something that these Grimm are attracted to the souls of people or something?

Actually… it does remind me of a quote of something about Aura the people called Huntsman uses in this world. Aura is a manifestation of the soul, a life force that runs through every living creature on Remnant…

But there was no mention of Grimm being able to come in contact or being attracted to people with manifestations of the soul in the CCT info? Maybe it's something only common inside the ranks of Huntsman and Huntresses?

Tch.

Too little information to go off on but whatever the case… I look at the Grimm bears getting beaten to death as they maneuver and destroy one of [Harvest] units I narrowed my eyes at this confirming my fears.

Looks like the Grimm does know where my Stand [Harvest] is and they can most certainly see it as well… that is very troubling indeed but that only raises another question… if they can see my Stand then can these so-called Huntsman and Huntresses possibly see them as well learning their methods of handling Aura?

Hmm…

For now, I'll turn these thoughts for a later and make some tests but if they can see them I just have to be extremely creative on how to hide them. Just because one person knows one's ability, I have the potions to be versatile and keep them hidden.

For now, I need to play it safe and be more aware of people using aura but more so do normal people notice them or only those with aura can see them. I guess I need to conduct some experiments to know more.

---

A/N: Here's another chapter and also what do you think the MC figuring out that the Grimm could know and see his stand? Well, it is in their nature since they are attracted to Aura the same principle with different methods used.

A/N Extra: One more thing do you want people who have their Aura unlocked to be able to see the Stands because of their nearly same principles or do you want them to put the effort in sensing them to see the Stands. Also, do you want normal people to see them since they can see the Aura of the Huntsman using them or not?
