The Plan

"Do you remember the Tricycle?" he gave her a clue. Jojo had built a tricycle half a year ago. One day when was bored and thought about what the little kids of Earth would be doing at this age. Then he remembered bicycles and tricycles for kids. The bicycle was hard to make but the tricycle was easy.

He told his father and mother about the idea and they agreed. It was easy to convince his parents because a toy cart made of wood already existed. He just requested his parents to make one with three wheels. Then, he wanted the carpenter to make it in front of him. He wanted to make it a little different and bigger.

After a few questions from his parents, a few answers from him and a childish tantrum, they finally agreed. He carefully designed a tricycle and asked the system to correct it. He wanted to make a proper one because he also wanted his parents to sell it.

He showed the design to the carpenter. He was confused at first but Jojo insisted on cutting the woods as shown in the figure then he would explain. His parents were also looking at the drawing not knowing head and tails about it. They could see that it had a seat for a person to sit and a wheel for it to move. So, they thought he wanted to sit in it and someone to push or pull it. After a week of hard work, it was finally completed.

He could finally ride a tricycle in the ninja world. With the strength of an adult man and the weight of a child, it was very fast. He had fun riding it. His parents also wanted to ride it but bad for them it was for a child. They wanted to make one bigger for adults. He let them do what they want. He even 'unintentionally' said that it would be lighter if it was made of plastic and hollow aluminium or steel.

"That is our best seller this year. How could I forget it?" His grandmother said. It was indeed very popular among children.

"Don't you think we can make them?" he asked.

His grandmother looked at the bicycle design and nodded her head. It looked like it was possible. It looked similar to the Tricycle. 

Then he took out a few papers and showed it to his grandmother. There was a detailed drawing of a bicycle and its parts. She was shocked when she looked at it. It was well-detailed. If anyone gets their hands on it then they can make a bicycle. Of course, she was talking about merchants and businessmen. How could a common man have the tools to make these?

"How did you design it?" She was shocked. How could a child design this?

"I thought that the tricycle wasn't useful to adults because of its weight and it was very hard to pedal. Then I thought that if it could run on two wheels it could be made even lighter. When we were visiting you last time, I saw a wheel running on its own when it was separated from a carriage. I remember it and thought maybe it was possible."

"I called the carpenter who made my tricycle previously. I told him to join the two-wheel in a line with two wooden bars on both sides. Then we pushed it. If it is pushed slower it will be unstable but if we push it faster it will be stable. So, I felt like it was possible." he said proudly. He always wanted to do all kinds of strange things when he was a child. In this life, he has money to do these sorts of things. It was entertaining for him and an experiment he could show to his parents.

"Then I did all sorts of experiments with the carpenter." He then proceeded to talk about everything he did in detail. His mother and father had seen them but they thought that he was playing with the carpenter. There were maids and ninjas so they weren't worried. The maids had always viewed him as a godly genius so they thought that he might be making something new like the tricycle last time. So, they also helped him.

He told them to keep it a secret as he wanted to surprise his parents. They reported it as Jojo playing with wheels.

"Ingenious." his mother and grandmother marvelled. This design of the bicycle wasn't impressive to him. Because it was the old version of a bicycle, one with pedals in the front wheels. There were rubber tyres on the wheel. They weren't air-filled but soft rubber tyres. There were also spokes in the wheel. The frame itself was simple. It also had brakes as he didn't want the customer to have accidents. The overall design was simple. Developing pneumatic tyres is a headache which he will leave to others.

"I have thought of a perfect use of this design." He said.

"Use?" His mother and grandmother were confused.

"We should cooperate with the Akimiya and other few families to produce the bicycles." Akimiya was his grandmother's maiden family.

"Why should we cooperate with them? Shouldn't we make it ourselves?" She asked. She is a married woman. She has to think of her present family first then her maiden family.

"First, we can't produce Bicycle. We need at least a few months before we can mass produce it. During this period there is a high chance someone may leak the design. Then, they may sell it before us. Second, they and others will copy the bicycle as they did with the Tricycle. So, we can cooperate with them in exchange for their manufacturing technology. If possible we can ask for manufacturing technology for other products too."

"Third, Land of Lightning can't produce cheap and enough rubber for them to use but we can. We need their metal and they need our rubber. We can use this to negotiate the price of the bicycle and our profit percent. We are the major distributor of their products. So, they will agree."

"At last, Grandpa can solidify his position as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Land of Fire using this. I have ideas to improve the bicycle. There are also designs of Bicycle Rikshaw. So, we can use this design." For Jojo, these drawings weren't useful as he knew if they managed to research chain bicycles and pneumatic tyres they could take over the entire market. Other businessmen must be thinking they will earn huge profits but they will not know that they are preparing the market for them.

"How could we solidify his position using this?" She felt that Jojo was right. They didn't have their factory. They sell the goods from one country to another. The only things they produce are grains, cotton and clothes. The rest of the other businesses are conducted through trade. If her maiden family agrees to their condition then they can gain the technology of the Land of Lightning. But, she couldn't think how they could use it to solidify her husband's position.

"The Land of Fire and Land of Lightning is going to have peace talk. The respective shinobi village is also going to have a peace talk. The peace talks are going to only stop the war for now. We can use this opportunity to conduct a meeting between Diamyos and Kage with both Diamyos as the leader of the meeting. We can also put forward trade agreements like reduced taxes for trade between two countries and establishing land and water trade routes with a regular patrol of ninjas."

"We can also use our and the Akimiya family's connections to request both Diamyos and other Diamyos to come for peace talk. I have heard that Diamyo of Land of Wind has stopped providing missions to the Sand village. He favours Konoha more than Sand Village. We can negotiate with them to provide missions to them if they manage to convince their Daimyo to join the peace talks. If both Diamyos agree then Wind Diamyo will join for sure. We can also try our luck with small countries."

"It will indeed help your grandfather but it is difficult." She didn't feel that it was possible.

"It is indeed difficult but not impossible. It hasn't been long after the war has ended. So, common people, businessmen, ninjas, nobles and even Diaymo want peace for now. The Diamyo and ninja want to recover from their loss. The third Hokage has always been in favour of peace."

"All the merchants and businessmen will also agree for sure if we promise to share this design with them. Because of war, they have suffered huge losses. We can threaten the Rikage that we and other businessmen will not provide missions to them. Diamyo of Lightning will agree because Akimaya has a huge influence in Land of Lightning. Other nobles will also request Diamyo."

"The Land of Iron is a neutral country so they will agree if we call them. The Diamyo of Water will also join because of the recent turmoil in Land of Water and Hidden Mist Village. He doesn't want war in this situation. But I am not sure about Mizukage. Diamyo of Wind will also join because he wants a good relationship with the Land of Fire and has started to give all of his missions to Konoha. Kazekage will also join if we give him benefits."

"For this to be successful, first we must rile up the businessmen of the target countries. We can send them our agenda in this meeting and edit it as per their request if deemed necessary. The design of the bicycle will represent our serious attitude."

"The businessmen will contact nobles they are close to. Who in turn will request Daimyo. We can also make them talk with their respective Shinobi village. We can first let those who are ready to announce their support. The larger the support more people will join." Jojo knew this would work because this has worked on Earth. Ninja world will know for the first time why these associations are so troublesome.

Jojo wasn't doing this only to save Hizashi but to improve the situation in the ninja world. These types of peace talks and trade treaties didn't happen until the end of the Fourth Ninja War. This was a great opportunity for them. His parents and grandparents don't know this but it will help them tremendously after the fourth ninja war is over and the economy starts to bloom. This will also increase their reputation among businessmen and nobles.

He discussed it with his grandmother and mother about it for an hour. He didn't directly talk with his grandfather because he knew talking about politics with him at his age would be considered rude. His grandfather may not even take him seriously.

He knew his mother and grandma would listen to him for sure that's why he started with them. Later, his grandmother and mother talked with his grandfather and father.

His father and grandfather felt that his suggestions were right. They modified it and acted according to it. He may know a few things about his family, but he wasn't completely aware of their influence. There may be technology in this world, but the rest of the world is a few centuries behind. So, the nobles and the businessmen still have a huge influence in the world.

The Akimiya and Kujo weren't the only ones who would benefit if the trade treaty was held. They forwarded plans to other prominent businessmen all over the world. The ninja war has just ended all parties want a quick economic recovery. So, they were sure the plan would be successful.

Akimiya were prominent merchants from the warring state periods. They were a business giant in the Land of Lightning. They couldn't export properly due to the relationship between the two countries. So when Akio's father gambled after the first ninja war, the Akimiya also gambled. They used their connections and Kujo to distribute their products to other parts of the world. Both helped each other which turned out to be good for both of them. When others were still hesitating due to war they already started their channel.

Business is never done by one. They created a chain of small businessmen who in turn had their channels slowly creating a business chain all over the world. The constant war and skirmish deterred other businessmen but they paid a heavy price and used ninjas for protection. They focused more on their chain than on profit. They will make a big haul in peace and use it to maintain their chain during the war. That's why Akimiya and Kujo have a big say in today's world.

Kujo used Akimiya as their umbrella. The Akimiya had deep roots in the Land of Lightning but they didn't in the Land of Fire. Kujo began to spread roots in the Land of Fire with the help of their money. The Akimiya and Kujo were in different countries so they didn't cause conflict in territory. The Kujo took less profit on their part giving Akimiya more. Akimiya in turn bought the products of Kujo.

For the first time, many businessmen came together to request the Daimyo of many countries for peace talks and trade treaties. The Kages were also pressured by them. The five Diamyo of five great countries and other small countries came together for the meeting. Among the five Kage, Hokage, Raikage and Kazekage came. Tsuchikage didn't come because of Konoha and Kumo. Mizukage because he was being controlled.
