Why Are There Parasytes?!

Deus Ex Machina! The heaven defying power of fate that most protagonists rely on and wuxia protagonists are made of. It is a power that centers around a character and those close to them, even the enemy. It makes sure to keep the main character alive by any means necessary. It's the thing that keeps their friends around long enough until the protagonist needs a power boost, then kills them off to justify using plot armor on the mc. It even keeps the antagonists alive and powerful until they are no longer needed, or the story ends.

Why is this important? Well that is because the protagonist happens to be a protagonist and as such has access to such a power. And the great thing about plot armor, no matter how powerful an enemy is compared to the main character, if they aren't the main antagonist, they will be defeated in that fight. There are very rare cases of that not happening, however that is not the case now.

The second Raijin came into contact with the bearasyte, he brought out his violin (which he always keeps with him) and started to play using his Sonic White Overdrive. This is a move that Raijin only uses when he wants to control someone, make his music louder and sound better, or just make zombies blow up and turn on each other, then watch as they massacre themselves.

The bearasyte was an animal that relied entirely on instinct. The parasyte has less heart then a certain German dictator. The parasyte relies solely on its instincts to survive and reproduce. Because of this, they feel no empathy for any other living creature, even their own kind. There is however one advantage to this, such as the fact that they don't really have will power.

Will power is the art of resisting temptation and easy routs in order to achieve something more. It is the base requirement of any martial art, and the only thing that weakens Raijin's Overdrive. Luckily for him, the parasyte that doesn't have the ability to seek anything other then survival, doesn't have will power at all.

A parasyte doesn't have the ability to resist temptation, nor does it want to. It lives simply for the sake of survival and reproduction, nothing more. So it is fairly simple to take over its mind with just a few notes. Although that is the case, Raijin still kept playing even after it was under his control.

This is where the plot armor comes in, because he would never be able to take this down at his current strength, he could at most match it. So he got lucky with the ability to control it.

He stood there for three minutes playing Oogway's theme. No particular reason for playing that song, he just thought that an animal song fit well when he was mind controlling an animal. When he was finally done, he put down his instrument and looked over at a pissed off Asami and a dazed bearasyte.

"Hey Asami! Just thought that Id come out and help you hunt a little. And I find you fighting a... a.... ah, what the hell is this?" Raijin asks as he finally notices all the strange features of the bear.

"How should I know? And why are you really here? You don't like hunting so why would you come all the way out here when you know I am fully capable of handling myself? No, you are really out here because you didnt trust me to hunt a few animals! Right?" Asami said with a very angry expression and tone.

'There is the personality change again.' Raijin noticed, before he replied. "You have been gone for four hours now, twice as long as it normally takes you! Why wouldn't I be worried?"

"I was gone so long because there aren't any deer around here and the rabbits became abnormally fast! I had to chase them for hours! I don't need your help!" Asami yelled back, a lot less aggressively then he thought she would react.

"Exactly! You were gone for hours! If you let me help you that wouldn't be such an issue! And then there is this thing!" He said while pointing at the bearasyte, "What even is it? Why were you fighting it?"

"I followed a rabbit and ended up finding a cave, inside was this thing eating another bear." Asami said, a little more calmly now.

"It was eating another bear? That's weird, I haven't heard of cannibal bears before. And there should be plenty of food in the area so why would-" Raijin stopped mid sentence as he looked at the bear and his eyes widened. He had noticed the weird features on it, however it took him a while to recognize it after three thousand years without it.

His face fell after he finally realized what it was. 'How is this possible? I wished for Dr. Stone and JoJo's Bizarre Adventures, so why is it here? I could understand why the stone masks and vampires are a thing, but this... this isn't something even remotely close to anything I wished for.'

Raijin thought for a moment before he simply sighed and said quietly, "Shit."

-----------------

They went back to the camp in silence after what happened. Asami went to bed because she could tell that Raijin was pissed about something, and she didnt want to fuel his anger by killing anyone yet.

Raijin on the other hand sat in front of the fire with a dark expression. It was pretty late in the night, so the fire very clearly lit up parts of his face, while dramatically leaving other parts completely black.

'Damn it! What the hell?' He punched a small tree that was next to the log he was sitting on. The tree was uprooted and sent flying, eventually crashing into a rock. He did this unintentionally, but he still used every ounce of his strength. People do that sometimes when they are mad, they punch things and accidentally use all their strength. Normal people don't have to worry about anything except hurting their hand, but people like Liam and Raijin who had border line super strength, they had to worry about the people around him.

'Why are there parasytes here? I wished for three things, all of which have been "Balanced Out" by fate, so why are they here? Is that damned genie playing a trick on me? Damn it!' He then froze for a second as he got an idea. 'Maybe it didnt balance everything out. Lets see, the balance for the Dr. Stone wish was me having to stay awake the entire time. The balance for hamon was the stone masks right? And the balance for my limit breaker was... was... what was it again?'

Raijin looked down for a second, a moment later he stood up, walked over to a rock, and started bashing his head against it. 'Stupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid! How the hell did I not think about that? I have been doing basically nothing for the past year and yet I still haven't considered it once? Argh!' He yelled at himself.

Fortunately for him, it wasn't entirely his fault. A side effect of having plot armor and being a protagonist is that you basically cant do anything off camera other then training. At least, you cant do anything important during a time skip other then training and a few minor things, but nothing for the story. So it wasn't his fault that all that time was wasted.

'Okay Raijin, calm down! I just need to think about this some other time. For now, lets figure out how I'm going to kill these things.' He looked over at the bearasyte, who was still under his control and sleeping a few meters away. 'Apparently these things can use hamon, and with their learning ability and genetic manipulation ability, they can probably reach Kars's level if they tried. Fortunately for me, they don't care enough to train and only want to survive.'

'I can probably kill them with just my strength and speed if needed, however with hamon, they can probably advance even if they aren't trying to. So instead I need to start training harder with both hamon and my body. I had been neglecting my physical training for some time now. I guess I just viewed hamon as more interesting to practice. If I was going to end up doing this, maybe I should have wished for something else other then a limit break.'

'Oh well, to late now. Aaaah, Damn it! I forgot I also still have to deal with Liam, wherever he is. Shit! I hope he didnt get a parasyte! If one of them tried to infest him then he would easily notice and could easily stop it by freezing it, or ripping his arm off. Then all he needed to do was wait for it to mature in his arm or leg and he would have his own Migi.'

'If I have to fight him like that, I am fairly curtain that only Goku level plot armor can save me. So I need to train more and more now. Damn it! Why cant I just stop all this training and fighting? Its not my thing, I just want to be able to play music while walking on water. Is that to much to ask? Maybe I just need to become immortal, then I can be like Deadpool and not give a shit about anything.'

'No, even if I could do that, Asami still wouldn't be immortal. Besides, being immortal sounds terrible. Eventually you would have done everything possible, but would have to continue to live through it for eternity without end. So immortality would only be fun for the first few thousand years.'

'Damn it Raijin! Focus! Why the hell are you thinking about being immortal? You have to find a way to protect Asami and yourself!'

He stood up with a serious expression.

'I also have to make sure things go to the canon once it starts, and if they are late I will have to go to Japan to save them. Ugh, what a pain.' He thought, then realized what he just thought and smiled, 'I mean, Yare Yare Daze. Yeah, that's the right way to say it.'

"Anyway," He said as he stretched himself out, "I need to get to training now, even if I kill my body in the process, I need to get another evolutionary zenkai before its to lake. So, time to train, and I should take it seriously to, like, Goku and Rock Lee level training."

He walked over to his violin and said, "Cant train properly without music, its a sin to do so."

He got a serious expression as he made his hamon possess the violin and glue it to his back, but it kept playing, seemingly by itself.

"Alright, lets get down to business."

For anyone wondering or getting impatient, the canon will start in volume three, so somewhere from chapter fifty to sixty, probably. Also, we hit sixty power stones yesterday, so if you want a bonus chapter, the new goal is one hundred. Thanks for reading.
