Hamon Wavelength

Completely bewildered by the way Asami had been acting, Raijin decides to go a little farther away from camp in order to train in peace. He had an idea of how to use the White Thunder Overdrive in combat, however it was little more then a theory until he tried it out.

He walked back over to the fire before leaving, he was going to pick up his violin again. However, before he grabbed it, he remembered the music that his hamon itself played when he was fighting Liam. 'What was that anyway? I hadn't seen any thing like that in the show, so how did it produce sound? Maybe I should investigate this farther.'

So for todays training Raijin had three things on his agenda, improve the White Thunder Overdrive so that it is combat ready, and figure out the hamon music. The final thing he wanted to do was bring the bearasyte under his full control.

He walked for a few hours, trying to make sure he found a place far enough away from Asami so that she wouldn't find him unless he wanted her to, and so that he could still hear her if something attacked again. He had also brought his new pet bearasyte with him.

Raijin had decided to start following the Uberman sleep cycle, so he could get more time in for training. The Uberman sleep cycle is when you sleep exactly twenty minutes every four hours without fail. This allows one to only need to sleep two hours a day, yet maintain the benefits of a full nights rest. He had tried it before with Asami when Daichi was trying to maximize their training when they reached fifteen, however both Raijin and Asami hated and refused to do it.

Raijin especially hated it, because although he he didnt have a major problem falling asleep, it was still incredibly difficult to fall asleep and wake up on command. Asami was able to do a slightly less efficient version of it, however neither ever succeeded in it and didnt try to afterward. However, Raijin needed the maximum amount of time he could muster to train, and with his new evolutionary zenkai, he should be able to teach it to his body easier then before.

Raijin had organized his goals and new what needed to be done now. He also new that he needed to train enough to be prepared instead of acting careless like he had been doing. He needed to be ready for ultimate Kars level beings with stand power, because he was sure that if they were a thing here, they are probably the most powerful beings possible in this world.

He doesn't include the parasytes because they would be useless after becoming an ultimate being. Once someone reaches the perfect being status, they can freely control everything in their body and become immortal, invincible, and all powerful, with the only things being able to kill them being space or the most powerful hydrogen bomb ever built. He figured a few stands could probably do it to, but he was still unsure on weather or not stands were real here, so he couldn't rely on them.

Normally he would need to do something like what Joseph did and send the being into space with a volcano, however he didnt have a limit on his body, so he could theoretically surpass Kars. So he needed to train properly so that his body could do that, before someone like that emerged and it was to late.

"Okay, right here should be good. How about it bear? We should be able to spar freely here." Raijin said as he walked with eh bearasyte into a clearing.

"B-Bear?" The bear said uncertainly at the new word.

"Oh yeah! I had forgotten about your ability to learn extremely quickly. Good, if I teach you I might have someone to talk to other then Asami and myself, that will do wonders for my state of mind." Raijin replied happily.

He then pointed at the bear and said slowly, "Bear, B-E-A-R." He then pointed at himself, "Master, M-A-S-T-E-R. Understood?"

The bear seemed to get it as its eyes widened and it repeated what Raijin said.

"Anyway, once I figure out how to make you not want to kill me without me needing to control you, we will start our training." Raijin continued to talk to it as the bear did its best to absorb all the words that he said and understand them.

Raijin had to regularly inject hamon into the bear, otherwise it would go back to relying on instinct and would attack him again. He was getting tired of doing that already and it had only been about a day, so he was going to figure that out first before he did anything else. Also, he thought having a pet bear with four parasytes enhancing it and even being able to talk to it would be awesome.

'Maybe I can make him obedient to me by straining his body with my hamon. Right now I am using my hamon to influence its instincts and make it subconsciously loyal to me at the same time as enhancing its body. What I need to do is permanently add an gene in its DNA that makes it obedient to me. I can do this by adding an entirely new chromosome dedicated to its ability to recognize me as its master and follow my orders, or I can mutate a currently existing one in order to make it loyal to me.'

'My hamon copies the light of the sun, or more specifically UV rays. What I could do is try to figure out how to alter the type of rays my hamon is made of and turn them into X-Rays, they are able to mutate things much faster then ultra violet. The issue with that is that if I do this, there is a high chance that it will effect the plants and animals all around us in probably negative ways, and I don't even know if I have the control needed to target specific genes with my hamon and replace or destroy them. It is dangerous to say the least.'

'I know that changing the type of light my hamon makes should be relatively easy. All I have to do is change its wavelength bit and it'll be done. Maybe I should try it with normal light and infrared first, so that I know it works before experimenting with X Rays.' Raijin thought as he sat down and created a few sparks of hamon on his hand.

It danced around for a second as he observed it. After a few moments, he he closed his eyes and told the bear to do the same. He focused on the hamon and imagined slowing its movement and expanding its wavelength. The hamon flickered a little more for a second, before it burst into an extremely bright flash that definitely would have blinded him if he had looked. His eyes were hurting just from the light that made it through his eye lids.

The hamon had just fully entered the wavelength range of visible light, which was slower then ultra violet. The hamon would normally produce normal light as well, however it was a small amount and was only made after the UV rays slowed down. He had just turned it into pure visible light, so it became extremely bright immediately, however it soon died down.

"Well that was a success! Alright, lets try infrared now." Raijin said with a smile as he made more sparks.

He noticed that his body had felt a lot lighter when he changed his hamon just now. He had a theory about that. He had thought about it and come to the conclusion that hamon is like a weight. Hamon is mostly UV rays, which damage the body fairly easily. He thinks the reason that the body is enhanced so much when a person practices hamon, is because the body is forced to adapt to the UV rays and resist them.

Like how if you wear weighted clothing for a while, your body will adapt to it and get stronger. When you take the weight off, you are stronger then the body needs you to be to survive, so you are able to do a lot more incredible things. Think of hamon as a weight, when a user of it awakens it, their body adapts to it. When they change it to something that doesn't hurt the body like visible light, then its like the weight being lifted.

But the body cant just suddenly adapt to UV rays out of no where, especially to the level of the powerful hamon users. Raijin thinks that this is the reason that they have to train their body to such a level before they can use hamon properly. This would also explain why Joseph was able to easily use hamon without training. Jonathan had trained a resistance into his very DNA and had received a boost from Zeppeli, so naturally Joseph would inherit this resistance and the hamon talent of his bloodline.

If we use the weight analogy again, a beginner cant suddenly just start wearing 50 pounds (22.6 kg) and get the benefits. Their body wouldn't be able to handle it and it would do more harm then good. So they have to use weaker weights to adapt their bodies and then they can receive the benefit of the heavier ones. Kars was the perfect being so he was capable of resisting some of the harshest rays, that's the reason he could use such powerful hamon without being killed.

He theorizes that the reason vampires and pillarmen cant go into the sun is because they have no resistance to UV rays at all like other species, their cells cant take the damage of the UV rays and get destroyed extremely quickly. Kars got DNA from every living creature on the planet and could easily control his body, so he could adapt the ability to resist UV rays like other species.

(This wasn't mentioned in canon, at least not so far. So I'm not sure if its true or not, these are just my own theories on it. If you find any fault in my logic, please tell me and I will rethink it.)

Raijin was focusing on his hamon for a minute, before it eventually changed and became bright again, but only for a second as it dimmed again as the air around his hands started to seem to melt.

His hand started to burn so he stopped, however on his face was a huge grin.

"Okay bear! I have a plan to help both you and me out at the same time. Step one, learn how to change hamon from UV to light, infrared, x ray, and maybe even micro waves and gamma rays. Then I need to adapt my body to each of these wavelengths so that it isn't destroyed and I get a lot stronger. Third I need to learn more precise control over them, at least to the point where I can make it seek out specific genes in your DNA. And finally I need to change your biology with my hamon so that you will remain my servant without me needing to constantly hurt you." Raijin listed his current training goals.

It may seem like he is enslaving this bearasyte, and that is exactly what he is doing. However he is doing it for his own and Asami's safety. He is also still going to allow it to do as it pleases, so long as it doesn't cross the line. Also he is lazy, so instead of checking up on it a few times a day and infusing it with hamon, he is going to spend a few months of practically non stop training in order to learn to manipulate light and forcefully mutate things. Because that is so much easier.

"With my evolutionary zenkai and my already powerful resistance, the second step should be the easiest. It'll probably only take a month or so. The first should only take a little over a month and the third will take the longest, probably totaling to around three or four months. The fourth will be the shortest, but the most challenging and dangerous. So overall I can probably round it up to seven or eight months." Raijin calculated.

"Okay, lets get started."

This is the logic I came up with for Hamon. I think it makes sense, but if you don't, please comment why so that I can improve the theory. Anyway, the highest power stone number that has been reached as of today is about seventy, so I am raising the price for a bonus chapter. If you want a bonus chapter today then this has to reach one hundred power stones. Thanks for reading.
