7 Hit or Miss Part 3

"AHHHHH," Nate falls to the ground next to his father. The shriek of pain could be heard throughout the whole neighbor. Before everyone stayed inside to keep themselves safe from the gunshots, now people were coming out to investigate the scene.

The stranger looked back and smiled. He walked back, laughing, "I'm so lucky."

Jon was confused on whether to confront the stranger or care for his friend.

He decides quickly and rushes to Nate, but the stranger takes his gun out again. "Hit or miss," he says again and fires at Jon's leg. It hits and Jon goes down hard, the neighbors rush back into their house, Darnell from across the street runs to Jon's house to tell Jon's mother what is going on.

Jon has an even angrier face, than before, he makes Gangsta's Paradise go away. The stranger walks up to Jon, "Your brother, was a friend of mine. I'm sorry for your loss."

Jon holds onto the wound on his leg, blood spilled out. "I didn't know a friend of my brother was a gang member. He wouldn't ever hang out with guys like you."

"That's where you are wrong, he didn't hang out with guys like us. He was one of us."

Jon's memories of his brother flashes in his head, "A gang member, that means he went around killing people. Participated in those drive-bys. No way, he couldn't be a gang member."

The stranger stands closer to Jon, and squats down, ripping a piece of his shirt off and wrapping it around Jon's wound. "My stand is Hit or miss. Whenever I say hit or miss, I have a 50/50 chance of getting either of the two. Whenever I get hit, the shot will always hit my target no matter what. Whenever I get miss, the shot will always miss the target no matter what. You're probably wondering why I'm telling you this."

^We can trust him, right? He's a friend of Robert and he just revealed his stand.

"There's no way I would trust you. You shot me, my friend, and his dad. You're gonna rot in jail."

"I'm so unlucky and lucky at the same damn time," The stranger gets up. He sighs and turns away from Jon. "Join the gang, we are down 2 members. At the corner of Foreman Street look for the house with a license plate as the address. Your name is going around the neighborhood. Those guys from the Red Diamond gang are probably already on the move. Your brother took part in a lot of gang fights with them. They could still be mad about it."

As the stranger continued to talk, sirens could be heard in the distance, getting closer and closer as time went by. By now, Nate passes out due to the shock of being shot, his father barely staying alive from the shot, preserved, trying to help his son live. Despite being shot, his father worked himself up to be able to press down on his son's wound. Jon looks at this desperation of father and son and becomes jealous.

"Seriously, how unlucky am I," the stranger said.

Jon begins to stand up, opening his wound further, but he continues to get up and stand tall. He limps over to the stranger, thinking to how many times he has wished for a father. Robert was eight years old when their father left them. Jon has just been born, so he never truly experienced growing up with a father. His brother was both a father and a brother to him. For that he had the most respect for fathers who never abandoned their child.

"Yeah, you're a real unlucky nigga!"

The stranger turns around surprised, as the police and ambulance can be seen from down the road. Jon breathes in, then out.

"Gangsta's Paradise!"

Gangsta's paradise rises from Jon's shadow and begins throwing a flurry of punches at the stranger.

"BURA BURA BURA BURA BURA BURA BURAAA!"

Jon yells out the battle cry, as the police roll up to Nate's driveway. The stranger is sent flying backwards on top of the first police car, two followed behind, then the ambulance.

Jon, breathing heavily, smiles and brings back Gangsta's Paradise. Shortly after he falls to the ground, passing out.

Jon woke up in a hospital bed the next day. He was alone in his room, his leg seemed to be somewhat healed, the wound was gone, but a scar was there.

^Who the hell changed us! They saw us naked, what the hell.

"Shut up, Gangsta."

Jon laid back on his hospital bed, thinking about his brother and the Golden Star gang.

Could they really help me find him? Could I really help them with my stand power?

^That gangster mentioned that Red Diamond Gang. What if they come and kill mom and us.

Jon clenches his fist, "I- no we won't let that happen. This time I have the power to stop anyone from killing my family."

"Really now," a feminine voice says from his door. Jon perks up, recognizing the voice. "Sam! What are you doing here?"

Samantha Wilson, Jon's crush had walked through his hospital door. She walks in further, closing the door slightly, she pouts crossing her arms, "It's not like I came here, because I was worried for you or anything."

Jon laughed replying with a huge smile and a feminine tone, "B-B-Baka!"

They both laughed hard as Sam got close enough to Jon's hospital bed to sit down on it. She sat right next to Jon and began look through the bag at her side. Jon took the opportunity to look at all of Sam, up and down. Her long hair, her highlights, her curves, her lips, even down to her exposed thigh from her wearing of short shorts.

^Thank God for summer.

"Yes."

"Did you say something?"

Jon looked away, "I didn't say anything," he glanced back to see Sam getting even closer to him than before, "Why are you so close," Jon asks being so close to her that he could smell her shampoo.

"I don't know, why am I so close?"

"I don't know, that's why I'm asking you."

"Jon do you wanna do it."

Jon gulped.

"Do what?"

^Are we going to do the thing?

Samantha backed up to her original seating, and looked back into her bag and shortly brought out a folded piece paper. She unfolds it in front of Jon, he reads it. "You want to go see that horror movie coming out next Friday?"

"Are you down to go, Jon?"

"Yeah, sure. I can't even say no, you already bought two tickets right?"

She smiles, and turns her head back to her bag and places the printed ticket back into her bag. As she does, Jon notices pieces of highlighted hair on his bed. He picks it up and analyzes it. He holds it up, calling out to Sam, who turns her head back around. "Is your hair falling out?"

"What the fuck, what the fuck," Sam brushes her hair with her fingers frequently. "It's been falling out ever since I came in here. Something must be up with my shampoo. I don't even know why this is happening."

Sam picks her stuff up, and gets off of Jon's bed, she rushes to the door and turns around. "See you next Friday!"

Sam rushes out of Jon's room and down to the lobby. As she does she pays closer attention to her hair, noticing that more is falling out of her head.

What the fuck, she thinks. Am I going bald? Should I call out to a doctor? I can't have Jon see me like this, he doesn't like bald bitches.

She takes out a beanie in her bag and puts it on, she passes by Jon's mother who has just woken up and has started walking to her son's room. She quickly greets her, then rushes to the lobby. At the lobby her hair fell from her head like rain during a hurricane, she screamed. Shocking everybody, and ran out of the lobby clenching onto her beanie. She ran home, covering her head with her beanie along the way.

Her constant panic and fear of what was happening to her blinded her to only seeing the road home. By the time she had reached her house and ran to her bathroom. She realizes that her hair had fully grown back.
