Kurono widened his eyes slightly before getting up to sit on top of the futon he was sleeping on. A small yawn had left his mouth in an attempt to eliminate the drowsiness that he still felt present at the same time that he was aware of his surroundings.
"Sigh... It's been a while since I slept that much, maybe I really needed this kind of vacation." Although Kurono had the idea of maybe going back to bed and being taken to the dream world, he just shook his head until he got up completely due to because that same drowsiness gradually vanished.
He began to stretch a bit before approaching the suitcase he had brought with him and taking a set of clothes that was somewhat more comfortable than the one he had previously brought. After that, his gaze was caught for a moment by the other futon perfectly arranged next to his, and he only paid attention to it for a few seconds before leaving the room.
After taking care of some necessities, Kurono went back to explore Shizune's house, although she was looking for the main room hoping to find someone, but that ended up in a simple empty room that was accompanied by the sound of his stomach growling.
"Well... I guess I'll look for the kitchen." Kurono's footsteps were heard again at that moment, and although they lasted for a long time, they stopped listening to the moment he found what seemed to be the kitchen, but Kurono had actually found a person there "Um… Good morning, Ryo-san."
Kurono gave that simple greeting causing Ryo to turn his gaze to him. Ryo had been awake for a while and was in the kitchen preparing some coffee for himself, he was enjoying the calm of the moment since he thought there was no one else up, but then he remembered Kurono once he heard his voice.
"Same, boy… Would you like some coffee?" Kurono didn't take long to accept Ryo's offer at the same time that he approached the table where he was and took the kettle that wasn't far away.
…
The tranquility that had been lost before returned when both Ryo and Kurono were simply enjoying the warmth of the drink, it seemed that some kind of conversation was not necessary, but Ryo felt that he should relate a little more with a couple of his daughter.
"How old are you, Kurono?" Ryo remembered that they had never mentioned that point in all the conversations they had had... Or maybe he had just forgotten about it, he couldn't think of another topic to start a conversation with.
"I'm thirty-four, although won't be long before those changes." Kurono drank from his cup again before continuing to listen to Ryo.
"So you're younger than Shizune... Kyoko is also a bit older than me, so I don't think that's an issue for you." Maybe Ryo wasn't very good at talking, but at least he was trying.
If it were in the past, Ryo would take advantage of any moment and situation to test Kurono... But those ideas had left his mind a long time ago, besides, he didn't need to think too much about everything, he noticed Shizune's happiness, he could see how the relationship between them... And actually, Ryo didn't have any complaints about Kurono... For now.
"Thank you for your words, Ryo-san." Kurono could understand Ryo a bit, he didn't know exactly what to talk about either, so he was a bit appreciative of this kind of conversation.
Tranquility returned to be present as both returned to concentrate on their coffee, some comments came from them; about how the weather was, work, etc… But it was impossible to ignore an important topic.
"Shizune talked to you, didn't?" Ryo asked that question that had been on his mind, and Kurono knew what he meant.
"Yes... And I think he expressed everything that he hadn't been able to tell me in all this time." The conversation from the night before was still clearly etched in Kurono's mind.
"I see… Also…?"
"Yes, I know where he is right now, but it's something I feel I shouldn't meddle with... At least if Shizune asks me..." The serene look on Kurono's face was enough for Ryo to accept his words and not ask anything more.
Perhaps a new silence was going to be generated between them, but he couldn't escape their attention from the sound of the kitchen door being opened so that later the figure of Kyoko appeared in their sight.
"Ufufu, am I interrupting the boys talk?" Kyoko had to say that she did not expect the scene in front of her, at least she expected to meet her beloved husband, but Kurono was not in her plans.
"Not at all, and what boys talk are you talking about?" Ryo didn't take long to welcome her wife at the same time as a small smile appeared on her face... Although he tried to hide it as best as possible, but that couldn't escape Kyoko's sight.
"Hehe, I was thinking of making breakfast, but Ayaka called me saying that they would accompany Shizune before coming over." Kyoko took a seat next to Ryo as he poured a small cup for her.
"Don't worry, it's still a bit early." Ryo had no problem with that, but Kyoko thought a little differently.
"No, I'm sure Kurono-san is starving, he is a healthy young man and needs a lot of energy." Kyoko was listing many aspects of a good diet.
Ryo simply ignored that since he was busy with his coffee at the same time Kurono was just giggling… Although he was really hungry at that moment.
Perhaps that same situation would last until Shizune and the others returned, but that itself had made Kurono realize that it was a good time and that he shouldn't waste it.
"Ryo-san, Ayaka-san… I would like to talk with you…"
