Chapter 5 Taiyuan's Prophecy

When Taiyuan got home that night and telling his father of his results he said "Father sorry but im quite tired i am going to be the now" "okay son i will prepare a feast for us tomorrow and will have some of the best magical scientists looking into what your element could be" said Tailang (the village chef and Taiyuan's father)after he said this Taiyuan immediately left to his room and instantly dove into the manual that Elder Ming gave him after a few pages he started to realize a pattern and that was that all things are connected be it the strongest substance in the world or the weakest there is almost always a link between each other and that is the same for both martial arts and magic.

after an hour of reading through the manual he decided to first start is training in fire and since fire is so aggressive and destructive he thought he should get the hardest one out of the way first. so he read thoroughly through the section for learning the fire element there was so much information about it such as high level fire spells its weaknesses and how to counter them or even train to get rid of them all together.

he first read through the section that allows him to draw out his fire element, the book told him to sit in front of a flame in a meditative position, he went and got a few candles and sat down in front of them close enough to feel the scorching heat emitting from them after he did this he was to clear his mind of all thoughts and with each breath feel the heat from the flames all across his body and synchronize his mana with waves of heat he was feeling.

after an hour of this process he was starting to get annoyed as it was not working the way the manual said it would after a moment of trying to clam down he realized... he hadn't learned how to sense or control his mana when Taiyuan realized this he slammed his fist down against the ground and got up to head to bed.

Elder Ming on the other hand was watching this entire process to see if he would be able to achieve elemental control without mana control first but it turns out that was a little to much to ask for but just as Ming was about to leave he saw right where Taiyuan hit the ground a small burning ember with a strong surge of mana emitting from it.

the next day Taiyuan headed to the Library to see Elder Ming just as he entered the library he saw Elder Ming speaking to Lou Zang and his father. Taiyuan walked over to the counter and waited till Elder Ming was done talking, "okay great i will have someone come by tomorrow to collect them" said Lou Zangs Father whilst leaving the library.

"ah Young master you have come" said Elder Ming heading over in Taiyuan's direction "so... Elder Ming what is it you wished to tell me" said Taiyuan with curious tone "oh yeah almost forgot, why dont you follow me" said Ming heading in the direction of the mysterious door before coming to a stop...."Taiyuan....what im about to show you can never be told to anyone.... you must promise me" said Elder Ming in a solemn and serious tone unlike his usual cheery and clam tone.

"yes i promise" just after he said this Elder Ming started chanting a rather weird set of words that sounded almost alien like "Doa o akete kudasai. (door open)" after saying this the door started to slowly open to reveal a stair case heading deep under ground as they were walking down Taiyuan decided to ask what Elder Ming said and what language that was "well first i just told the door to open and second.... well that doesn't matter right now" said Elder Ming still in is serious and solemn tone Taiyuan also released that everything he said sounded as tho it came from a incredibly wise old man.

when they reached the bottom there was a cabinet a few tables and chairs with a lot of scrolls laying about, Elder Ming walked over to the cabinet and opened it revealing 3 stone tablets but only one of them Taiyuan could sort of understand as it was still in his own language but seemed ancient Elder Ming Then said "Taiyuan... this was left behind by my master before he died and it was his last wish to see that i make this prophecy come to pass...as of now i can only read the 1st tablet but it said that i will someday learn to read the others. but for now i must complete the first part and that Taiyuan i believe is to do with you.

the tablet says "the will one day be a boy with the same powers as me and we will go on to change the world forever and you must not fail to....." the last part has eroded but i believe my master wished for me to train you and help you reach the apex of your life and change this world."

Taiyuan was dazed after he heard this first he was told he will change the world and that he had the same powers as Mings master "does that mean that the manual you gave me was your masters?" "yes it was left to me after he died and since you have the same powers i believe you would get more use out of it than i will" said Elder Ming "well first things first you need to learn how to sense and use your mana"
