TIME SKIP : SIX MONTHS
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
Lily Evans walked through the doors of the Potter Manor in Godric's Hollow. Sirius, Remus, Peter, Lily's friends, Alice, Mary and Marlene stood in the living room.
"Hey, you guys!" Her tired streaked face lit up immediately.
She hugged Mary, and Marlene, then Alice. It had been ages since she had this kind of thing.
"Thank you," She whispered to Sirius.
"Anything, Anytime, Evans!" He grinned. "But, it was James's idea though."
"Where is James?" She asked. "If he in fact planned this party?"
"He isn't back yet, he'll be here soon." He said, "I think Sienna went to get something from the store downtown.
"Sienna's here?" Lily asked, "I thought she was at school!"
"She was," He said, "James brought her, he needed help with something."
"And he didn't tell me?"
"I think it was more of a Sienna-James thing than a James-Lily thing." Remus interjected. "Hence, the special permission from Dumbledore."
Lily excused herself to change. James was having trouble with something, and he didn't tell her.
He told Sienna. He must have most definitely told Sirius. She thought to herself. 'Probably Remus too.' And that bothered her.
"Where is he?"
Lily was wearing a beautiful red dress, down to her knees. She stood up from the girls, and asked Sirius, who was pouring out Fire Whisky in glasses. Placing the bottle back in the cabinet. And gathering food and snacks.
"He'll come." He said, he took out chips in a bowl. "James will get here, he won't miss this."
"I know he won't!" She said, "But so late, he has to take a break every now and then...I don't know what Dumbledore's playing at, forcing so much work on him."
"It's not Dumbledore!" Sirius took out a tray from the drawer. "It's him, he asks for more, I think Dumbledore has told him a gazillion times to slow down, take some time off. Or work fewer hours. But does he listen to anyone?"
Lily stared at him, "He would listen to you!"
"Oh, would he?" Sirius scoffed, "Only one person he would listen to, but I can't bring his mom back!" Sirius let out a laugh.
"Now come on! You have guests." He nodded his head in the direction of the door.
"And Sienna?" Lily asked again, "Where is she?"
"She'll come!" Sirius sighed, "James will pick her up."
"How are you so cool about this?" She faced him directly, "It's 10:30, aren't you worried? Like even a little? After what happened 6 months ago, Sirius!"
"He's James Potter, he'll come, Lil!" Sirius shrugged his shoulders and put the tray on the table. "Take a shot, everybody!"
"SIRIUS BLACK!" She almost shouted, "Don't you think it is suspicious that he is still not home?"
"Relax, Evans, he's out, he's not a child!" Remus interjected, "He will come, he promised, so he will come."
"I don't believe you two!" She muttered.
A few seconds later, Sienna opened the door and entered the house.
"Sirius?" Her eyes were tear streaked. "He needs help, I'm sorry, I couldn't do anything!"
"WHAT?" All of them shouted.
"I'll go!" Sirius asked them to stay, "Remus, guard the house!"
"I'm coming!" Lily got up.
"No, you are not!" The Blacks cried together.
"Yes, I am!" She said firmly.
Sienna held her hand, "He said no, Lil, don't go!" Her black beautiful swam in a pool.
"I have to..." Lily said softly. "Where to...?"
"I think he knows!" Sienna pointed to Sirius.
"Okay, let's go, Sirius!" She grabbed her jacket from the rack. "Come on!"
Both of them stepped outside, Sirius offered her his hand. She took it. And both of them disapparated.
"Where are we?"
Lily and Sirius stood in front of a garden.
"I dunno, I got this location." Sirius told her, and apparated back, leaving Lily Evans in the middle of nowhere.
"Sirius, where are you going...?" She shouted. "Sirius!?"
"Sirius!" Lily yelled. "Where are you!"
Lily Evans was standing in the dark. She didn't know where she was. She didn't do what Sirius did to her. No one was here. No one. The place was deserted, empty. She squinted. Maybe Sirius was getting help.
'But he would at least say something,' She thought to herself, 'Or was he under the imperius curse.'
"James!" She shouted, it was worth a try. Maybe he was here. The windy chill ran through her spine as she tugged the jacket closer to her. Her legs felt numb.
Her voice was barely audible to herself.
"James!" She yelled again. "Are you here?"
The wind stopped, and slowly little flakes of snow started to fall.
"Oh, you have got to be kidding me!" She said, "One last time!" She thought to herself.
"James Potter!"
"Hey!" She turned around.
From the behind of the fog, she saw a figure, tall and broad.
"James?"
"Yes, Me, Lil!"
James Potter stood in front of a small cabin, with a wide grin on his face. Lily went red in the face, looking at his boyish grin. A wave of relief and angry, mixed feelings of wanting to hug him or kill him filled her.
"You idiot!" She threw her wand at him. "You! WHAT DID YOU THINK, SCARING THE HELL OUT OF EVERYONE...HELL, EVEN SIRIUS LEFT ME HERE!"
"No, he didn't!" James said calmly.
"WHAT?!"
"I told him to." The boyish grin came back.
"YOU, WHAT!?"
"I did, I asked him, and Sienna to help me with something!" James was smiling.
"With what?" She narrowed her eyebrows.
"Come on, I will show you!"
"James...!"
"Relax!" He chuckled, "No death eaters, I checked, twice!"
Lily followed James Potter to the cabin. Her mind was all flustered and confused. What the hell was happening? All of the things seemed suspicious. Something like this, in the middle of nowhere, in times like at the moment.
James turned the key.
"Come on!" James said, "I have a surprise for you!"
Lily walked inside, and looked around. The place didn't have electricity, but it was well lit by candles. Hundreds of them, in the two roomed cabin.
Two bedrooms, small but cozy. It was beautiful. The windows were getting covered by the flakes of snow.
"James, where ...?" Her words were stuck in her mouth as she turned around.
James Potter, one knee, holding a box. In the box laid the most beautiful ring Lily had ever seen. It was pure transparent, with a shade of pink. James's choice was always elegant, but this, this was perfection.
"Lily Evans, Will you marry me?"
Lily stopped for a second before answering, and that same second seemed ages to James.
"Yes!"
