A Little Shopping. Trouble Again. Caught. James Will Always Be James.

He came outside, and took a deep breath. It was nice to be out, and not worry about something. He thought about picking some food on the way. He didn't feel like making anything. He certainly didn't want to eat anything of Lily's cooking.

James went into Honeydukes, and picked up some chocolates for Remus. He chose different flavors, dark and slightly bitter chocolate for Sirius. The caramel fillings for Lily. And took some new flavors to check them out. Then he bought butterbeers, and firewhisky. Vegetables and fruits from the corner. Then he ducked into a milk shop, and bought himself a milkshake, and started walking the few blocks home. To the upper east side. His parents used to bring him and Sirius there on Saturday nights. They used to walk the blocks home.

He took a sip, skipping slowly, and moving at a slow pace. Whistling. It was like he was walking down memory lane. He looked around, and remembered all the times he had with Sirius. So carefree and amazing.

"Ahhhh!" It happened all so suddenly, that James didn't realize. He didn't have enough time to fight back. He was knocked unconscious.

The Death Eaters had seen him, James was apparated away with the two masked Death Eaters, who had been following him from the sweet shop.

"Wake up!"

He was shaken up roughly.

"This is not your home. idiot!"

James was slapped right across the face, the severed scar on the face was cut open. His glasses were cracked from the left side. He was chained to a chair.

"Tell me, where is the Secret Place of the Order." A blonde bloke stood in front of him.

"Come on, tell us!" The other death eater, in the room, came forward, he looked vicious. He was shorter than the blonde one. But he was stronger. He jabbed his nails in James's throat. "Tell me!"

His angry sparkling, gray, eyes bored into James's soft hazel ones.

"Never!" James croaked. "Never."

The Death Eater laughed.

"Let's see, you used a muggle way of fighting us off the other day," The blonde man said, "We intend to do it the same way. falling down to your pathetic standards."

"I know you, not that it would matter to me," James spat in his face, "but you are a muggle born."

"You dare?" The death eater jabbed his nails even more.

James let out a croaked laugh, "I dare,"

"So muggle torture!" The blonde death eater picked up a knife from the table beside him. "See?"

He picked it up, and slashed James' wrists. Blood dripped from the arms of the chair. James flinched.

"Tell me now?"

"Nope!"

"What?"

"Well, you know, blondie!" James grinned through the pain, "I have developed a pretty good resistance from pain."

The blond Death Eater charged at him with a bigger knife,

"Ahhh," James stared at him, the grin wider than ever, the scar on his face was splitting a little. "Easy there, blondie, Aren't you getting a little carried away?"

The blonde one was getting redder in the face. He jabbed the knife into James's chest. James groaned, and breathed heavily for a few minutes.

"Well, getting on board with the muggles, are we?" James flinched again, "Liking them are we?"

"Oh, Potter, you think of yourself quite the hero, do you?" The other death eater tried to throw the sarcasm back at him, but James wouldn't let that happen.

'Just if Sirius could hear me, he would be proud.' James thought to himself.

"So Voldy's on board with the muggle ways of torture?" He asked, "The No Majs works." He used an American reference. "Where did you learn all this?"

He was once again jabbed with the knife on his shoulder. The knife cut through his well shaped muscles.

"Aha, I remember," He breathed through the pain, and slowly said again, "You must know this stuff, because your mommy and daddy were..."

He was now laughing like a lunatic, "No majs, muggles," James was laughing so hard that tears came out of his eyes, the mixed feelings of pain and utter joy. "Isn't that right, Blondie boy?"

The dark haired death eater approached him with a long stick. James really didn't know what it was. It had a long wire attached to it.

"You know, Pottah," He asked, "What is this?"

"I think, this is..." James stopped for a bit to stifle a laugh, "I think we should ask blondie over here."

The blond bloke brought the knife to his face. "You think you are funny, well, you are not going to leave, till I get the fun out of you!"

"So when I am going to go," James moved his face a little away, "Can I ride that, what's that again, it has wheels, and moves on the ground...a.., shoot I forgot what was it again, you know a metal body, and wheels, buttons, and ..."

"A car!" The blonde man blurted out.

"Ah, A car,!" James smiled, "So when you were small, you used to go around town in a car, or did you use the sub...way?"

"A subway!" The blonde man started to say, "No, I, me...You think you are so smart, Potter!" He went red in the face, gathered himself and snarled at the chained up, bleeding James.

"Naturally, I do," James said, "But I also think I am..." He waited for a few seconds, "Magic!"

That really burned the blonde Death Eater, and pulled out the rod from his partner, and plugged it in a socket.

"This is a curling iron!" The dark haired one snarled, "For styling hair."

"Of course, you should know that." James said. "My mom just used a potion."

The rod was heated enough, The Death Eater grabbed James's bleeding wrist from it. The scarred wrist was now burning up. James' screams echoed in the place.

"Not so funny, now are we?" The blonde man grabbed James's collars, and pulled to his face, "Now say where is the Secret Place?"

"If I tell you, If I tell you..." James groaned, "Will you go there in a subway or take a cab?"

The Blonde man turned red to the roots of his hair. James's red and burning wrists looked awful.

"TELL ME!" Both of them screamed.
