Ji Min; The Peerless Talent

However, Ji Tang's two sworn brothers did their best to keep the family together, and on the fifth month of that same year, Ji Tang finally emerged from his solitary drunkard life, and it was the same day that Ji Min's meridians will be revealed.

Everyone within the family was nervous because they knew that Ji Tang seemed to be waiting to know what level of potential his grandchild will possess.

Ji Tang then began to raise his grandson with every resource he had at his disposal, including the precious ones the emperor had gifted Ji Rou; it even got to an extent where the members of the family began to donate every resource they could spare.

Ji Min who had also heard the miserable story surrounding his birth and the death of his mother; was driven by vengeance, and thus, he began to cultivate diligently; but after seeing the southern family member's support and also feeling their desire to overthrow the current status quo, Ji Min's passion for cultivating then burned brighter.

In just two years, Ji Min managed to reach the 2 Star Commander and Qi Gathering stages respectively, whilst his cultivation talent seemed to keep rising ever higher.

News of Ji Min's peerless talent quickly reached the ears of the revoked and current patriarch; and out of fear of the storm Ji Min was going to certainly create within the clan and empire, the siblings then resorted to his evil schemes as they planned to nip the little kid in the bud before he could bloom.

But, despite being only a child, Ji Min already understood the meaning of strength, and thus focused on the path of body cultivation as much as his Qi cultivation, and the moment he began, to the world's terror, he had an even greater affinity for it than the Qi; and this resulted in him being able to simultaneously raise the level of both his cultivation paths.

Every time he broke through, Ji Min would run into his grandfather's embrace like the little kid he was; an action that always made Ji Tian smile whilst he plotted the best way to pay back the Ji Clan a hundredfold for the pain they had caused him, his daughter and grandson.

Since Ji Tang, his sworn brothers, and most of the southern family members originated from the third bloodline order, which was that of the intelligent merchant, the southern family was naturally successful in business, and thus, they were connected to many other merchants.

These connections and the honest way in which they dealt with others enabled the southern family to come in contact with many rare herbs and resources on which their fellow merchant tribes had decided to grant them the 'first refusal' grace.

The 'first refusal' grace meant that every time a merchant found something very rare; they would send it to the southern family first, and only if they refused to purchase them, would the merchants then sell it to anyone else.

This caused the southern family to possess very extensive collections of books that covered even rare topics, become wealthy enough to run themselves, and create more powerhouses as well; it got to a stage where they could become a successful independent clan should they choose to leave the Ji Clan.

Though they might not be able to compete with any of these twelve guardian clans who had deep histories and extremely vast amounts of quality cultivation resources, they wouldn't be too far off either.

The Southern Family's knowledge and libraries covered different topics of different fields, and thus, to some certain extent, they could be said to be more cultured than some of the guardian clans.

Then as for their landscape, they were located within a mountain range where Ji Tang's sworn brothers oversaw the areas which faced the Eastern and Western Ji Families respectively.

He had been at the 2 Star bottlenecks of both cultivation paths and Ji Tang had told him to head over to the family's training ground and try to use actual combat to overcome his bottlenecks.

Though Ji Tang's villa was located at the far end of the town, it was still only half an hour's ride whenever Ji Min took his grandfather's carriage.
