A Victory Road to Eggellence

The episode starts with Jessie and her friends standing outside of an entrance to a cave, all looking at it.

"Our heroes have reached Victory Road as the cave is the only thing blocking them to the path towards the Indigo Plateau!"

"So this is Victory Road?" Jessie asked, still looking at the cave.

James grabs out his map and looks at it then responds with a nod. "Yep! Victory Road is the only thing standing before us before reaching the Indigo Plateau!"

Meowth notices a potential shortcut and looks at James. "Wait, James, can't you just get your Charizard to fly us past Victory Road and to the Indigo Plateau?"

James embarrassingly rubs his head. "Sorry Meowth but that doesn't work that way."

"Why not?" Jessie asked.

James starts explaining. "Because, I have not yet set a step in the Indigo Plateau and neither has Charizard, so we all will be flying in circles or worse, even farther because I don't know where it is."

"Besides, even if we can, riding on Charizard is too dangerous for my precious little Pokémon. So I wouldn't allow it." Domino hugs her blue Pokémon Egg with a smile.

Meowth looks at Domino with an annoyed expression before grinning. "You know Victory Road is just as dangerous for the little guy as riding on Charizard!"

Domino's eyes widened before hugging her Pokémon Egg tightly. "M-maybe we should come back after my egg hatches."

Jessie glares at her Meowth. "Way to go Meowth, you just had to say that!" Then she turns her attention to the cave leading to Victory Road. "Besides, I'm not waiting for that baby Pokémon to hatch. The League Tournament starts so soon and I can't miss the open ceremony. Let's go!" Jessie starts entering the cave with Meowth next to her.

James looks at Domino. "Don't worry, I'm sure Victory Road isn't that dangerous." He soon follows Jessie into the cave.

Domino starts talking to herself and taking deep breaths. "Okay Domino, I can do this! I can do this!" She hugs her Pokémon Egg so tightly that she has ever done so and heads into the cave.

The title screen shows.

"A Victory Road to Eggcellence"

The gang is now in the cave of Victory Road, Jessie looks too focused to get through the cave, Meowth looks like he doesn't even care, James is looking down at his map, and Domino looks cautious while gripping onto her Pokémon Egg.

"You know what would be useful? A map for caves. We might get lost on Victory Road." James gulps.

"We can't get lost! The League Tournament starts tomorrow and I can't miss the opening ceremony!" Jessie pouts. "We have to find the exit immediately."

A Zubat flies behind Domino, she immediately jumps without looking behind her and hides behind James. "I-I heard something behind me! Protect me and my egg, James!"

"Wow Domino, I have never seen you this jumpy before." Meowth snickers.

"It's not funny, furball! I'm trying to protect my baby here!" Domino continues holding her Pokémon Egg tightly.

This time, a Golbat flies by in front of Jessie, but this time, she spots it going by. "Was that…?"

Then a bunch of Zubat and Golbat surround the gang as they start attacking and swarming them. The gang starts yelling and covering their heads while getting swarmed by the Zubat and Golbat. Domino is screaming the loudest while covering her Pokémon Egg instead of her head. "RUN FOR IT!" James yelled out.

The gang starts running away from Zubat and Golbat as the Pokémon starts chasing them. The scene cuts to the gang finding a hiding spot from all the Zubat and Golbat, catching their breaths after all of that running. "Does anyone have any Repels?" Meowth asked.

James looks into his backpack to look for some Repels, which he doesn't have as he sadly shakes his head. "Sorry guys, I don't have any."

Domino groans. "Just great! We're stuck and lost in a cave where my baby is in potential danger!"

"We are not lost!" Jessie countered. "Besides, just put your Pokémon Egg in the Poké Ball or something?"

Domino shakes her head. "No can do! I can't miss my baby hatching. I have to have it out here! Isn't that right, my baby?" She nuzzles her cheek with her Pokémon Egg.

"Okay, what is the limit that this is now deemed weird?" Meowth asked, rhetorically.

"Just put the egg in your backpack or something, Domino," Jessie suggested. "You'll still feel the egg moving in there I believe."

Domino rolls her eyes. "Fine." She unzips her backpack and places her Pokémon Egg. Domino tries to zip back her backpack; it won't as the Pokémon Egg is making it too tight to do so. "It won't zip back up! Come on!"

"It'll be fine. Let's find the way out of here!" Jessie peeks out and starts walking away from their hiding spot as her friends proceed to follow.

It cuts to a montage of Jessie and her friends meeting dead end after dead end in this cave as they can't find a way out at all. After the montage ends, Jessie looks extremely frustrated. "Where is the damn exit in this cave?!" She yelled out.

James immediately shushes Jessie. "Keep your voice down, Jessie. You might attract a wild Pokémon towards us."

"I just want to finally escape from Victory Road, but I can't find the exit anywhere!" Jessie replied still in a frustrated tone.

"Geez, can't you still just sign up even after the opening ceremony ends?" Meowth asked.

"I don't know, but I'm not finding out. I'm going to find that exit!" Jessie declared as she was about to take a step.

Before Jessie could even take a step, an Onix pops up from the ground and then roars, causing the gang to fall on the floor like dominoes. Speaking of dominoes, Domino doesn't realize the moment she fell, her Pokémon Egg falls out of her backpack and bounces somewhere to a different area.

"Meowth, Thunderbolt!" Jessie commanded.

Electricity starts to build up in Meowth as the talking Pokémon sends out a powerful bolt of electricity right at Onix, however once the Thunderbolt hits Onix, the rock snake Pokémon doesn't look affected by the move at all as it roars even more angrily at the gang.

"Jessie, electric-type moves don't work on ground types!" James reminded her.

"Shit, I forgot! I'm just scared right now!" Jessie says, shivering in her arms and legs.

The wild Onix roars as it flings its tail toward the gang, looking to crush them with its rocky tail. The gang screams as they dive out of the way to avoid getting crushed by Onix's tail. "RUN, AGAIN!" Domino yelled out before her, Jessie, Meowth, and James started running away as the wild Onix started chasing them.

As the gang gets chased by a wild Onix, it cuts to the Team Rocket trio in a different area of the cave. "We better not get lost in a cave again," Butch says, grumbling.

"I do not want to hear your grumbling! Besides, it's not our fault that the twerps decided to enter this cave." Cassidy replied with an annoyed tone.

Mondo was in front of the group as he turned around to talk to his partners-in-crime while walking backward. "Do we even have a plan to steal that twerpette's talking Meowth this time?"

Cassidy and Butch stopped for a little bit to think before both replying to Mondo. "No."

"We got to think about something in the meantime-" Mondo was cut off after tripping on something where he wasn't watching where he was going after walking backward as he fell and hit the ground. "Ow that hurt!"

Cassidy and Butch both look where Mondo tripped on and it was Domino's blue Pokémon Egg that fell out of her backpack and bounced earlier. It was lying on the ground."Is that… a blue egg?" Butch questioned

"Maybe it's not just some original egg but a Pokémon Egg!" Cassidy swipes the blue egg from the ground, holding it tightly. "You're gonna make us rich, are you little one?" Cassidy nuzzles the Pokémon Egg with her cheek. "Just think of it, what if a valuable and rare Pokémon is in this egg?"

Mondo gets back up from the ground and inspects the egg until he realizes. "Wait a minute, isn't this the same egg that water-type twerpette has been carrying?"

"That makes it even better!" Butch grins.

"Oh no, little one." Mondo grabs the Pokémon Egg from Cassidy's hands. "Did your mommy abandon you? It's okay, Mondo's gonna take care of you from now on!" As Mondo hugs the Pokémon Egg, he notices something else. "This egg is close to hatching."

Both Cassidy and Butch gasped. "You know this egg is about to hatch soon?!" Cassidy asked in a shocked tone.

Mondo nods in response. "I know these types of things, trust me."

"Come on, we need to find a hiding spot before those twerps notice their precious Pokémon Egg is missing," Butch suggested. "Don't baby Pokémon have an imprint on the first humans they see?"

"Which means if this little one sees us first, they will think we're their parents! Let's find a hiding spot, Mondo!" As Cassidy looks at Mondo, he is too busy taking care of the egg to notice what they're talking about.

"Who's my little guy, huh? You are!" Mondo says with a chuckle before rocking the egg slowly, side to side.

Cassidy and Butch looked at each other weirdly before Cassidy grabs Mondo by the collar and the trio leaves to find a hiding spot. It cuts back to the gang still running from the wild Onix that's chasing them.

"That big ass rock snake is still chasing us. What do we do?!" Meowth asked in a panic.

"We could fight the Onix with our Pokémon instead of running!" James suggested

Domino immediately nods at the idea. "I like that idea, I'm tired of running!"

"Alright, on three!" Jessie holds up one finger. "One!" Then two fingers. "Two!" And finally, three fingers. "Three!"

As Jessie calls out three, they immediately pull out their Poké Balls they stop and turn around to face the Onix as it roars right to the gang. The gang all send out Pokémon one by one. "Blastoise, I need you!" "Slowbro, come out!" "Ivysaur and Starmie, you're both needed!"

All of the gang's Pokémon materializes while shouting their battle cry. "Blastoise! "Slow… bro." "Ivysaur!" "HYAH!"

The wild Onix roars back in response at the gang's Pokémon, then the gang commands all of their Pokémon to attack. "Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" "Slowbro, you use Water Gun!" "Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf and Starmie, you will use Bubble Beam!"

Blastoise blasts tons of water from its back cannons, Slowbro doesn't do anything for a few seconds before opening its mouth and sending outflows of water, then Ivysaur flings razor-sharp leaves from its back, and finally Starmie sends out a stream of bubbles from its gem. All moves hit the wild Onix and the rock snake Pokémon takes a lot of damage from the moves as it roars in pain.

"It looks weak!" Jessie pulls out an empty Poké Ball. "I got it! Poké Ball, go!" She tosses an empty Poké Ball right at the weakened Onix.

Once the wild Onix gets hit by the Poké Ball, it goes in as the Poké Ball hits the ground and begins shaking. As the Poké Ball shakes, the gang waits for it to click, but unfortunately, Onix breaks out of the Poké Ball on the third shake and roars.

"Argh! I almost had it!" Jessie says, frustrated.

Onix roars once more before swinging its tail and ends up hitting Slowbro, Ivysaur, and Starmie all at once with its tail, knocking out all the Pokémon it hit when crashing towards a cave wall, fainting.

James and Domino all called out their Pokémon in shock. "SLOWBRO!" "IVYSAUR! STARMIE!" They both immediately recalled their Pokémon back in their Poké Balls.

"That's one strong Onix… I don't think a regular Poké Ball is gonna capture that thing." Meowth admits.

Jessie is staring down the wild Onix, gritting her teeth until she realizes and has a small flashback when the President of Silph Co. gives her an Ultra Ball.

"As for thanks for saving my life, I present you a gift." The President reaches into his pocket and pulls out an Ultra Ball as a present for Jessie.

"Whoa, a… Poké Ball?" Jessie questioned.

The President nods. "Correct, but this is called an Ultra Ball. It doubles the catch rate of a regular Poké Ball and has a higher success rate to catch a Pokémon."

It cuts back to the present time as Jessie quickly pulls out the Ultra Ball that she was given from her purse and starts thinking inside her mind. "Meowth is right, I don't think a regular Poké Ball is gonna do the trick!"

The wild Onix roars as its tail hits the cave ground, little rocks appear in the air and the rock snake Pokémon starts flinging the rocks with its tail right at Blastoise.

"Blastoise, Withdraw into your shell!" Jessie commanded.

Blastoise quickly withdraws into its shell as the rocks hit the Blastoise's shell, barely inflicting any damage.

"Now Hydro Pump!" Jessie commanded once more.

"Blastoise!" Blastoise quickly withdrew out of its shell to blast tons of water from its back cannons right at the wild Onix. The rock snake Pokémon roars in pain from the Hydro Pump.

Jessie gets ready with determination in her eyes, getting ready to throw her Ultra Ball. "Ultra Ball, go!" She throws her Ultra Ball right at Onix.

Once the wild Onix gets hit by the Ultra Ball, the rock snake Pokémon goes in as it lands on the ground. The Ultra Ball begins shaking before officially clicking, signaling a successful catch.

Jessie pumps her fist in the air to celebrate a successful catch and pose. "Yes, I caught Onix! You did great, Blastoise, return!" She recalls Blastoise back in its Poké Ball

The Ultra Ball, containing Onix inside, glows white before being transported to Professor Oak's lab. Jessie's friends sigh in relief once the Onix is gone. "I don't want to be chased by another big Pokémon right now," James says.

"Tell me about it, Jimmy." Meowth agreed.

Jessie noticed something in the distance and it was light, it was the exit of Victory Road. "Guys, I think I see the exit in the distance! I guess that Onix chased us near the exit!" She pointed out.

The gang all smile in the distance as they start walking to the exit of the cave. "At least we're finally going to get out of this cave!" Meowth says in delight.

"At least my baby is safe." Domino realizes something. "Wait, does my backpack feel lighter?" She removes her backpack from her back and then she screams once she sees that there's no Pokémon Egg in it.

Jessie, James, and Meowth all stop dead in their tracks and cover their ears to shield them from Domino's ear-piercing scream. "Domino, what's the problem?" Jessie asked.

"MY BABY IS GONE!" Domino shows her empty backpack to her friends.

"Oh… such a shame. Welp, time to exit Victory Road!" Jessie continues walking towards the exit of the cave.

Domino stops Jessie by grabbing her arm tightly to the point it's hurting her arm. "IT WAS YOUR IDEA TO HAVE ME PUT MY BUNDLE OF JOY IN MY BACKPACK! WE'RE NOT EXITING THIS CAVE UNTIL MY BABY IS BACK IN MY HANDS! GOT IT?!"

James nods. "We should look for it, Jessie. It is kinda messed up of you not caring about her Pokémon Egg."

"OKAY! OKAY! I'LL HELP YOU FIND YOUR EGG! LET GO, YOU'RE HURTING MY ARM!" Jessie screamed out in intense pain.

Domino lets go of Jessie's arm as the gang walks away from the exit to find Domino's Pokémon Egg. It cuts to where the Team Rocket trio is, they're looking directly towards a little entrance of what looks like a cave room. "It looks nice to take care of an egg," Cassidy says, looking at the cave room.

Butch also takes a peek at the cave room, raising an eyebrow. "It's better than being out in the open, I guess…"

"I don't care, this little fella needs to hatch in a little room anyways." Mondo enters the little cave room as his partner-in-crimes follow.

It shows a montage of Mondo taking care of the Pokémon Egg in many ways, like slowly rocking it back and forth while singing a lullaby, hugging the egg to keep it warm, and trying to feed it with a spoon of Pokémon food. "Here comes the airplane!" Mondo says, making airplane noises and gently tapping the egg with the spoon as the food drops to the floor.

Cassidy and Butch both look at each other with concerned looks on their faces. "I've seen Mondo care about a Pokémon, but I have never seen Mondo caring about a Pokémon this much…" Cassidy says as Butch crosses his arms in response. "He better not go soft on us!" He replied.

It cuts to the where gang is in the Victory Road cave, still looking for Domino's Blue Pokémon Egg, but no luck for them. "I swear Jessie, if something terrible happened to my baby, I'll forgive you for destroying my bike, but I will never forgive you for this for the rest of my life!" Domino said.

"For the thousandth time, I'm sorry Domino!" Jessie keeps repeating the phrase to her. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"I think sorry isn't going to cut it, Jess. You did cause Domino to lose her baby." James says.

Jessie turns to James with a frustrated look. "Well, I'm sorry. It's not my fault that Domino decided to listen to me!"

Domino rolls her eyes. "Fine, I'll blame myself for that."

Meowth snickers. "Maybe I shouldn't listen to Jessie from now on too!"

Jessie growls at her talking Pokémon. "Don't push it."

"Domino, when was the last time you thought you had your egg in your possession?" James asked.

"Hmm…" Domino begins thinking and then answers James' question. "I believe the last time I had my precious baby was when Onix confronted us. It must've slipped out of my backpack, and then we ran off from it before Onix started following us."

"Okay, but here's the problem, how are we going to look for a small blue egg in a big cave where it could be anywhere?" Jessie stated.

James thinks for a little bit, before getting an idea. "How about we all send our Pokémon out to help us look for the egg? With so many Pokémon helping us, I think we have a bigger chance of finding Domino's egg!"

"I like that idea!" Domino says before pulling her Poké Balls out of her backpack, Jessie and James follow and also pull out their Pokémon's Poké Ball as well.

"Everyone, come on out!" The gang said, throwing all their Poké Balls in the air.

All of the gang's Pokémon materialize, shouting out their battle cries.

Jessie starts to explain with the Pokémon. "Alright everyone, we're looking for a blue Pokémon Egg. The egg is somewhere around this cave and we must find it!"

"If you find my baby, please notify us immediately! Pretty please!" Domino begged.

"Umm… how are they going to notify us? We will be looking too and this is kind of a big cave, right?" James asked.

James' Gengar speaks up. "Oh, I know! Ghost Pokémon can communicate with each other when they're separated, so I suggest I come with you guys and the other Gengar can go with the Pokémon. If one of us finds that egg, we will simply notify each other and lead the others to the path!"

Jessie's Gengar nods in agreement. "Gengar!"

The gang smiles at the idea. "Well, I guess that's the plan then!" Jessie says, before officially giving the order. "Alright, let's split up!" The gang and their Pokémon split up to find Domino's Pokémon Egg, but James' Haunter and Meowth went with the gang.

The scene cuts to the gang with Gengar, walking into the cave while looking around. "Why is it called Victory Road anyways if there is no road seen? Should be called Victory Cave in my opinion." Meowth stated.

"There's no time for shower thoughts, Meowth," Jessie says.

"Looking for a small egg in a big cave like this? I think we're gonna be here for a while…" Gengar says.

Domino looks annoyed. "Hmph! We're not leaving until I find my precious baby!"

"Don't worry, Domino, we're going to search every single spot until we find your egg!" James stated with a smile.

Gengar rolls their eyes. "Like I said, we're going to be here for a while."

As the gang kept walking, they were stopped by the sound of Zubat and Golbat flying through the cave until the Pokémon noticed the gang and started flying towards them. "Great, more Zubat and Golbat! Meowth, Thunderbolt them!"

"I hate these pesky bats!" Electricity starts flowing into Meowth's body and sends out a bolt of electricity right at the Zubat and Golbat. Both Pokémon get electrocuted and immediately fly away in fear.

"Nice one, Meowth!" Domino complimented with a smile.

Gengar rolls their eyes and looks at James. "If my trainer would teach me how to use Thunderbolt, I would've done it more perfectly and effectively."

"Your moveset is already great, Gengar! I don't want to mess it up after all." James responded.

"Less talking, more looking!" Domino demanded.

It cuts to the location of the cave where all the gang's Pokémon are, also looking around as well for Domino's Pokémon Egg. "Pikachu?" ("What's the point of looking for some dumb egg?")

"Clefable! Clefable!" ("Hey! This is just no ordinary egg, it has a baby Pokémon inside!")

"Scizor, Scizor!" ("You know, we would explore more ground in this cave if we didn't have to wait for someone to catch up!")

All of the gang's Pokémon stop, then look back to see Slowbro far behind the whole team. "Slow… bro." ("I'm almost there… guys.")

Blastoise starts getting frustrated. "Blastoise, Blastoise, Blastoise?!" ("Come on, Slowbro, can you walk faster?!")

"Ivysaur, Ivysaur!" ("Let's just leave them behind, we got to find Domino's egg now!")

Charizard roars directly at Ivysaur, angrily. ("We are not leaving any Pokémon behind! James would flip if he notices Slowbro is missing!")

Blastoise looks at Charizard. "Blastoise!" ("You carry them on your back then!")

Charizard thinks for a little bit before flying to Slowbro, picking the Pokémon up on its back, and flying back to the gang's Pokémon and roaring. ("Alright, let's go now.")

Slowbro slowly smiles. "Slow…bro." ("Thank you… friend.")

The gang's Pokémon continue on their search. Eventually, they end up arriving at the front of a cave entrance to a little cave room and hearing voices inside. The gang's Pokémon all looked at each other before Gengar spoke up. "Gengar." ("I'll go in there.") Gengar turns invisible and goes through the wall of the cave entrance, what Gengar saw was the Team Rocket trio and most importantly, Domino's Pokémon Egg that Mondo is tightly holding.

Butch groans. "When's that egg going to hatch, Mondo?!"

"Yeah? It's been a long time since you've taken care of it!" Cassidy added.

"Patient, guys," Mondo replied. "For the little fella to hatch, it requires proper care and treatment. You must be hungry, huh?" He pulls out a bottle full of milk and pours it all over the egg, dripping onto the cave floor.

Cassidy and Butch looked at each other with awkward expressions once seeing their partner-in-crime trying to feed that egg. "This just took weird to a whole new level…" Cassidy states as Butch nods in agreement.

Gengar immediately fades out of the cave wall, going back to the gang's Pokémon and becoming visible again.

"Neigh, neigh?" ("So what did you see, Gengar?") Rapidash says.

"Gengar!" ("I saw Team Rocket and they have Domino's Pokémon Egg in their possession!")

This causes all the gang's Pokémon to widen their eyes in shock as Koffing speaks up. "Koffing!" ("You gotta notify James' Gengar quickly!")

Gengar nods. "Gengar!" ("I'm on it!") Jessie's Gengar begins trying to get a hold of James' Gengar.

It cuts to the area of the cave where the gang is at. They're still walking and looking around, seeing no Pokémon Egg in sight. With each second passing, Domino gets more sad and sad. "I MISS MY POOR LITTLE BABY!" She screamed out.

"Well, you're not going to find your egg by screaming out loud like that," Meowth says.

Domino looks at Meowth with the most angry expression she has ever had, causing Meowth to gulp and hide behind Jessie's leg. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" He pleaded.

"It's okay, Domino. We're going to find your child no matter what! Even if it takes a whole twenty-four hours!" James declared while pointing at the ceiling.

This causes Jessie's eyes to widen and gulp. "Please let there be a sign, I don't want to miss the league tournament because of this." She says quietly to herself.

James' Gengar's eyes perk up from getting a signal from Jessie's Gengar. "I'm getting something from another ghost Pokémon. It must be the other Gengar!"

This causes the gang, especially Domino, to immediately turn their attention to Gengar. "Lead us to them, immediately!" Domino ordered.

"Just follow me!" Gengar starts floating towards the signal they are picking up with the gang sprinting along to follow Gengar.

It cuts back to the gang's Pokémon, looking at the little cave entrance to the little cave room. Electabuzz speaks up. "Elebububu, Elebububu?" ("From the looks up what you're saying, they're taking care of the egg?")

Gengar nods. "Gengar, Gengar." ("Yeah, it looks like they're going to try to hatch the egg themselves.")

Starmie decides to talk. "Hyah, hyah…" ("They're up to something, those people always are…")

The gang's Pokémon heard a voice from a distance and it was the sound of James' Gengar floating towards them with the gang behind them. "There you guys are!" Gengar says.

"Gengar!" Jessie's Gengar says, directing to James' Gengar, causing them to roll their eyes in annoyance.

"So did you guys find my baby?!" Domino immediately asked, being worried about her Pokémon Egg.

Charizard responds with a roar before pointing at the little cave entrance room behind them.

"Charizard says that your egg is inside that little entrance there." Meowth translated.

Jessie's Gengar adds more information directing to James' Gengar. "Gengar, Gengar!"

"Well, that's just great…" James' Gengar sarcastically says with a groan.

"What is it, Gengar?" James questioned.

"They said that behind the little entrance is Team Rocket and they have your egg, Domino." James' Gengar translated.

Jessie grits their teeth in frustration. "Out of all the people to find Domino's egg, of course, it had to be Team Rocket!"

Domino starts having a panic attack after realizing Team Rocket has her egg. "How did they even find my baby in the first place?! This is just terrible! A criminal organization has my precious baby! I think I'm going to faint!"

Meowth scratches Domino right on the face, causing her to stop talking and freeze. "Sorry, but it was for your good, you were panicking too much!" Meowth says.

"Besides, we're going to get your egg back, Domino. Besides, I got an awesome entrance that we can do!" James looks at his Koffing. "Koffing, use your Smog right at that little entrance!"

Koffing nods. "Koffing!"

It cuts to the little cave room where the Team Rocket trio is, and it appears that Mondo is reading the Pokémon Egg a bedtime story. "And the brave and heroic Machamp has slain the evil Dragonite with its strong arms, rescuing the beautiful Ninetales, and then they live happily ever after." Mondo closes the book. "The end!"

"Seriously Mondo? I think you're taking this parenting thing a little too far." Cassidy says.

Mondo gasps and slaps Cassidy. "How dare you?! I'm trying to hatch this little guy like we planned from the beginning!"

"OW!" Cassidy yelled from the slap, holding her face.

Butch has an annoyed expression on his face. "Then how are you going to hatch some DUMB egg with some DUMB bedtime story if you're going to put it to sleep?!"

Mondo proceeds to slap Butch now. "Don't you dare talk about Jeffrey or Jeanette like that!"

Butch yelps out in pain before growling. "You're lucky you got that egg with you."

"What are you talking about?! You gave the egg names too?!" Cassidy said in disbelief.

"Jeffrey if it's a boy and Jeanette with it's a girl." Mondo confidentially answered, before looking down at the egg and slowly rocking it back and forth with a smile. "You're going to grow up to be a strong Pokémon, are you?"

All of a sudden, Koffing jumps in from the scene. "Koffing!" The entire cave room gets covered in a thick dark green fog from the holes.

This causes the Team Rocket trio to panic and look around. "What's going on here?!" Cassidy says in a panic.

A familiar female voice in the fog is heard from the Team Rocket trio. "Team Rocket, it's time for us to set that egg free!" Another familiar female voice is heard. "Because you have something that belongs to me!" Then a familiar male voice follows up. "And you can make that three!" The fog clears up to reveal the gang standing next to each other side-by-side, mocking their motto.

"TWERPS?!" The Team Rocket trio screamed out in shock.

Jessie, James, and Domino continue to mock Team Rocket's motto, butchering the words. "To protect the world from devastation!" "To unite all peoples within our nation!" "To denounce the evils of truth and love!" "To extend our reach to the stars above!" "Jessie!" "James!" "And Domino!" "Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!" "Surrender now or prepare to fight!" Meowth hops in front of them. "Meowth, that's right!" Then all of the gang's Pokémon appear behind them, saying their cry and posing with their trainers and Meowth to completely mock their motto.

"HOW DARE YOU TWERPS MOCK THE TEAM ROCKET MOTTO!" Cassidy screamed out in anger.

"YEAH! IF YOU'RE GOING TO MOCK US AT LEAST SAY THE RIGHT WORDS!" Butch added, also screaming out in anger.

"I don't care, just hand me back my baby, right now!" Domino demanded, pointing at her Pokémon Egg.

"No way, José!" Mondo said, turning to his side and gripping the egg tightly.

"Then you leave us no choice. Koffing, use Smog!" James commanded.

"Koffing!" Once more, the entire cave room gets covered in a thick dark green fog from Koffing's holes.

"Argh! I can't see anything at all!" Mondo tries to move to possibly escape, but Koffing tackles Mondo, causing him to throw the blue Pokémon Egg in the air and fall.

The egg starts heading towards where Domino is, reaching her hands out. "My darling, come to mama!"

But Cassidy gets in front and snatches the egg to herself. "You mean, come to me? Haha!" She starts running away.

"Hey! Starmie, use Tackle!" Domino commanded, pointing at Cassidy.

Starmie dashes towards Cassidy and tackles her while she is running, causing her to throw the egg as it is now in the air again.

Charizard catches the egg while flying and starts heading to where the gang is.

Butch pulls out a Poké Ball. "Oh no you don't, lizard breath! Primeape, use Cross Chop!" He orders.

Primeape materializes. "Primeape!" Primeape jumps up to deliver a double chop with its arm crossed right on the flying Charizard's back, causing the flame Pokémon to roar in pain and drop the egg.

"SOMEONE CATCH MY BABY!" Both Domino and Mondo screamed out, seeing the egg heading towards the ground.

Jessie starts sprinting towards the Pokémon Egg, trying to catch it. "I got it!"

Cassidy quickly pulls out a Poké Ball and sends out her Raticate. "Raticate, catch the egg!"

Raticate materializes and starts dashing towards the egg. "Raticate!"

Jessie has her hands out, dashing to catch the egg, but Raticate accidentally bumps into Jessie, causing her and the Pokémon to miss catching the egg as everyone gasps in shock. "No! I almost had it!" Jessie punches the ground in anger.

The smog starts to slowly clear the room and it's revealed that Muk is out of its Poké Ball and manages to catch the Pokémon Egg before it could hit the cave ground. "Muk!"

Team Rocket and even the gang all smile from seeing Muk catching the egg. "Nice job, Muk!" Everyone said together until Cassidy noticed. "Wait, you let yourself out of your Poké Ball again, Muk!"

"It doesn't matter, because it caught the little guy!" Mondo says in delight.

"Muk! Muk!" Muk notices something and looks down to see that the blue Pokémon Egg is moving.

The gang and Team Rocket have their jaws open, seeing the egg moving and cracking. "Look, the egg is cracking, this must be its hatching guys!" James stated.

Domino immediately sprints towards Muk to grab her Pokémon egg from Muk to see for herself up close. "My baby is hatching!"

The gang and all of their Pokémon, including Team Rocket and their Pokémon that are currently out, all gather around to witness the blue Pokémon Egg hatching with mouth-open smiles on their faces.

The blue Pokémon Egg cracks more and more before officially glowing white and hatching. From the baby Pokémon's point of view, we see it slowly opening its eyes and seeing Domino's happy smile. "Welcome to the world, my precious baby!" She says.

"I even thought it was beautiful!" Meowth says, shedding a tear in his eyes.

The Pokémon was a round, blue mouse. The baby has circular ears with pink insides, two white dots on its cheeks, and it has black eyes. Its thin, black, zigzagging tail has a large blue ball at the end about the same size as its body. "Azurill!" The baby Pokémon cries out in joy once it sees Domino.

"AWW!" Everyone awws once hearing the baby Pokémon saying their cry cheerfully, before realizing the gang and Team Rocket looking at each other and stepping back. "Alright blonde, hand over my baby!" Mondo demanded.

"Your baby?!" Domino repeated what Mondo just said, in disbelief. "This is my baby, so back off!"

"The baby that you just abandoned on the ground?" Mondo replied. "Some parent you are, huh? I took care of that baby Pokémon ever since you got rid of them, so I'm taking custody now! You never loved sweet Jeffery or Jeanette, Domino."

"I did not abandon my baby, Mondo!" Domino snapped back in anger.

The baby Pokémon cries in confusion, not knowing what's going on. "Azurill?"

"Okay, how about this." Mondo proposes a compromise to Domino. "Your twerpish friends recall their Pokémon and I will have my buddies recall their Pokémon. We will have a simple one-on-one battle, whoever wins gets full custody of the baby Pokémon. Deal?"

Domino thinks for a little bit before accepting Mondo's compromise. "It's a deal!" She turns to her friends. "Recall your Pokémon."

Mondo turns to his partners-in-crime. "You guys too!"

Jessie, James, Cassidy, and Butch all recalled their Pokémon, except Jessie doesn't recall Meowth as the talking Pokémon just hops on her shoulder.

Domino also recalls her Pokémon, except for Clefable. "Clefable, I'm using you to battle! Make me proud!"

Clefable nods. "Clefable!" The Pokémon hops onto the made-up battlefield between Domino and Mondo.

Mondo pulls out a Poké Ball. "Ditto, I choose you!" He sends out Ditto to battle.

Ditto materializes. "Ditto!"

"Come on Mondo, you got this!" Cassidy cheered for Mondo.

"Win the custody battle!" Butch also cheered for Mondo too.

Seeing Team Rocket cheering, Jessie also cheers but for Domino. "You can win this battle, Domino!"

"Yeah! Do not let Team Rocket get the baby!" James also cheered.

"You better not lose, Domino!" Meowth added with his particular cheer.

The baby Pokémon cries cheerfully once more. "Azurill!"

The battle starts with Mondo commanding the first move. "Alright Ditto, use transform!"

Ditto glows white and then transforms into Clefable and mocks its cry. "Clefable!"

Domino commands her first move of the battle. "Clefable, use Metronome!"

Mondo quickly counters by commanding the same move Domino did. "You use Metronome too, Ditto!"

Both Clefable and the transformed Ditto start slowly waving their fingers, saying their cry, and mocking cry over and over. "Clefable! Clefable! Clefable!" The transformed-Ditto starts rolling into a ball towards Clefable, but Clefable curls itself into a ball to block the rolling attack, flinging the transformed-Ditto to its side of the battlefield.

"I don't know what just happened, but it was good for Domino!" Jessie says with a smile.

"It seems Mondo's Ditto used Rollout, but Clefable used Defense Curl to block the attack. Talk about the luck of the draw!" James explained.

Cassidy and Butch both have annoyed looks on their faces. "I hate luck," Cassidy says. "As a former gambler, I agree with you on that," Butch added.

Domino commands the same move from before. "Use Metronome once more!"

Mondo also counters with the same move too. "Metronome as well!"

Once more, the Clefable and the transformed-Ditto start slowly waving their fingers, saying their cry, and mocking cry over and over. "Clefable! Clefable! Clefable!" Clefable opens its mouth and releases a red-orange stream of fire right at the transformed Ditto, but it also opens its mouth to release a stream jet of water, obliterating the fire, turning into steam while hitting Clefable, as Clefable cries in pain.

Domino gasps. "Clefable, are you alright?!"

Clefable hops back onto its feet and cheerfully cries out, still able to battle. "Clefable!"

James explains once more. "Hydro Pump will beat Flamethrower, that's for sure."

Both Domino and Mondo command the same move for the third time. "Metronome!"

"Are they seriously just going to command Metronome and that's it?!" Meowth complained.

James nods. "It looks like they're deciding on luck to see who gets to own the baby."

"Well, that's just stupid as hell!" Butch responded, crossing his arms in annoyance.

For the third time, the Clefable and the transformed-Ditto start slowly waving their fingers, saying their cry, and mocking cry over and over. "Clefable! Clefable! Clefable!" Both Pokémon start jumping up and down, indicating that they both have used Splash, causing both trainers to fall in disbelief.

"Not Splash…" Domino slowly says before getting back up.

"Come on Ditto, you got to use a better move than that!" Mondo also slowly says before also getting back up.

Cassidy growls in frustration. "I HAD ENOUGH OF THIS!" She dashes towards the baby blue-mouse Pokémon before grabbing it and making a run for it by heading towards the exit of the little room with Butch following her.

"HEY!" The gang including Mondo yelled out before Domino recalls Clefable as Jessie, James, Meowth, and Domino start dashing toward Cassidy and Butch.

As the duo is running away, Mondo catches up to them by having Ditto transform into a Pidgeot. "What are you guys doing?! I was trying to win the baby fair and square!"

"Well, Team Rocket doesn't do fair and square, now save room for us!" Cassidy says before she and Butch hopped onto the transformed-Pidgeot and took off.

The gang was still right behind Team Rocket, trying to catch up to them. "James, send out your Charizard, quick!" Jessie commanded.

"I-I can't! Charizard is still recovering from that Cross Chop by Primeape, it wouldn't catch up to them!" James responded.

Team Rocket starts celebrating with a tune while clapping. "We're gonna get a baby Pokémon! We're gonna get a baby Pokémon!"

All of a sudden, a bird-like cry of a Pokémon was heard, causing Team Rocket to end their tune and look around in confusion. "What the hell was that?" Butch asked.

A figure of a flame shaped like a bird dashes towards Team Rocket and hits the transformed Pidgeot. Causing Ditto to faint and transform back to normal and blasting Team Rocket off, Cassidy drops the blue-mouse baby Pokémon while doing so. "WE'RE BLASTING OFF AGAIN!" Ding!

"Azurill!" Azurill cries out in fear while falling to the ground.

"I'LL SAVE YOU, MY PRECIOUS BABY!" Domino sprints toward her baby blue-mouse Pokémon as she has never sprinted fast in her life. She dives and manages to catch the baby Pokémon before they can hit the ground. "I-I got you…" Domino says while taking deep breaths.

"Azurill!" The baby Pokémon happily cheers before nuzzling its cheek on her mother.

Soon, Jessie, James, and Meowth catch up to Domino. "That was a close one, way to catch your baby, Domino!" Jessie says with a smile.

Domino slowly gets up after taking a harsh dive and smiles back with a bow. "Thank you!"

"Just what Pokémon was that now? It sounded like some bird that had flames." James questioned while thinking.

"It doesn't matter, because whatever it was, it saved us from Team Rocket stealing the baby!" Meowth responded.

The gang all looked around the cave, trying to get a sight of whatever that Pokémon was a few seconds ago. "Wherever you are, thank you so much!" Domino shouted.

It cuts to the outside after the gang just left Victory Road with Domino tightly holding her baby blue-mouse Pokémon in her arms. "You're so cute, are you huh?" She says with a raised playful voice.

"I wonder what Pokémon it is?" Jessie holds up her Pokédex in front of the baby blue-mouse Pokémon.

"This Pokémon cannot be identified and is unregistered with this Pokédex."

Jessie gasped. "No way, it's a Pokémon from that Johto region?!" She assumes, obliviously, that she is wrong but doesn't know.

"What's the Pokémon's name anyways?" James asked.

"I'll ask them." Domino starts asking her baby Pokémon's name with a raised playful voice. "What's your name, cutie?"

The baby blue-mouse Pokémon cries out its name cheerfully. "Azurill! Azurill!"

"I'm hearing 'Azurill.' Are you guys hearing that too?" Domino asked.

Jessie, James, and Meowth all nod in agreement. "Yep!" They all said together.

"Then I guess your name is Azurill, is it, huh?" Domino says, talking to Azurill.

Azurill nods in agreement, playfully crying out its name once more. "Azurill!"

Domini lovingly hugs Azurill in her arms. "I already love you, my precious Azurill!"

"Alright, enough with the lovey-dovey stuff, 'cause look upon us!" Jessie points at the Indigo Plateau in front of them. "We made it to the Indigo Plateau, just in time before the opening ceremony!" Jessie sprints off with Meowth on her shoulder.

"WAIT UP, JESSIE!" Both Domino and James said before they both also sprinted off to catch up with Jessie.

While the gang sprinted off, the flame-bird Pokémon, that stopped Team Rocket earlier, was looking above and staring at the gang from the top of the Victory Road cave before looking up and screaming up in the sky.
