Irresistible Thirst

He sneaked out of there but after getting on a little distance a bunch of strange people jumping from tree to tree landed in front of him and his squad.

Within the next few seconds they wiped out everyone but as soon as one of them attacked Kace Brigid released a spell that spared both his and her own life.

The faces of those who were jumping were not clear enough.

Since Swan connected herself to Jayden, he saw exactly what she saw "That graveyard is close to my home! I need to go to Mom!" He left the room right away.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Emric walked with him.

"No! People need you here!" He said and started running toward his home, Swan granted him her speed so he could travel faster.

As soon as he reached he went straight to her mom who was waiting for him on the sofa like always.

She frowned at him and he sighed.

"What happened?" She asked.

"Just wanted to make sure you are alright!" He smiled.

Right after his head started spinning "I need to sleep" He headed to his room.

He slept as soon as he fell on the bed this is how tired he was.

A few hours passed when he woke up feeling someone's presence in his room, he rubbed his eyes as his eyes fell in the corner of his room.

He saw someone standing by his window, it looked like a ghost, he quickly reached for the switch, turned on the light and rubbed his eyes again, because he couldn't believe what he was seeing, it was Rose.

He slowly slipped out of his bed and started rushing toward her.

He approached her and held her face in his hands gently, she was not only smiling but she also had tears in her eyes. He kept looking into her eyes for a couple of seconds.

"I can't believe this is you" He spoke with his trembling voice "You are a dream aren't you?" His eyes filled with tears.

"If this is a dream I don't want it to be over" She got close to him and kissed him gently.

Jayden gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb, he looked her in her eyes "I am not leaving you ever again" He pulled her closer and kissed her passionately.

She was heavily breathing as if she hasn't been breathing all those years, with her pounding heart she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer, she kissed his jaw and then his neck.

She smelled his neck as deeply as she could, her breath was driving him crazy, he just wanted to let this dream continue forever, all this time he kept himself away from her, but now when he had her, he wanted to break all walls between them, he didn't care about pushing her away this time, he wanted to get as close as possible.

After he was completely numb with the sensation that her breath left in his body, she opened her mouth as wider as she could, and the next thing Jayden felt was a painful pricking on his neck, she pulled his collar aside and pulled him closer again, Jayden was enjoying her biting him, painful pleasure took him over the moon.

But within the next few minutes that pleasing pain turned into something else, his skin started burning, she wouldn't stop at any cost as if she was thirsty and he was a river for her.

Jayden started squirming, but she wouldn't leave him still, he started turning pale when he growled with pain and that's when she jerked back.

Her iris was red and she had fangs, her mouth was covered with blood, Jayden fell down. She was heavily breathing still.

"I am sorry I just…." She couldn't say anything anymore she was just sad she made him suffer like that, even when she didn't want to.

Jayden realized now that it wasn't a dream "What have you done?" He asked.

"Let me heal you first," she said biting her wrist and getting close to him.

He stopped her hand from getting close to his mouth, and with the other hand, he was holding his neck.

"Show me!" She gently removed his hand from his neck, there were two holes in his skin, small enough for fangs to sink in, and around it, she could see dark veins and his skin was getting darker from that side, his body was turning pale as if every single drop of blood has been squeezed out of his body.

"You are dying" She whispered when tears started rolling down her cheeks "It was you all along!" Her jaws were stiff "I thought you loved me…." She sat back away from him.

"I do…" Jayden had just opened his mouth when she interrupted him.

"Was getting close to me your plan too?" her voice quavered.

"You know what? Just don't answer me, I don't even have to do anything I have given you the bite you will die a painful death! Just like you deserve to." She jumped out of the window and disappeared.

Jayden kept mumbling her name, as he even lost his voice because of weakness, there were tears sparkling in the corners of his eyes and he was staring at the window helplessly.

Meanwhile, Emric heard someone knocking on his door, but the knock was slower, as soon as he opened the door Swan collapsed inside his room.

Her skin was as pale as Jayden's. He carried him to the sanatorium as fast as he could, healer Jinx saw the veins appearing around her neck already, she pulled down her shirt from her shoulder a little when she saw bite marks "Vampire bite" She whispered.

"But I didn't detect any intruder" Emric couldn't understand but Swan pulled his arm.

When he took his ear closer to her mouth, that's when she forced herself to speak "Jayden" She could only whisper his name when she fainted.

"Is there any antidote?" Emric panicked.

"Yes, there is, for which we don't have ingredients and the only way to heal her is to heal Jayden!" She said.

"Do you remember once you applied a sleeping spell on me? The one that stops any poison or sickness while you are sleeping?" Emric thought for a second "Cast that spells on Swan" He said "I'll go get Jayden!"
