The Trial of CRDL

Ozpin had been having a relaxing day this morning.

That's how he knew it would screw him over somehow.

He now sat in his office with 13 students in front of him.

Jaune standing across from CRDL while his friends were all sitting behind him in seats he provided from his cleaner bots. Velvet was at his side glaring at the bullies. He sipped on his coffee as the stare down had been happening ever since the boys woke up in his office 4 minutes ago.

There was a subtle growling coming from Jaunes side as Ozpin was reviewing the notes Glynda gathered from the videos and the accounts she gathered from witnesses while the students came up to the office.

Ozpin finished the notes and decided now to go ahead and make a final decision on how to handle these trouble makers.

He glanced between the two sides as Jaune looked unrepentant at his actions while CRDL was also looking the same.

He turned to Jaune and his friends, "First Mr Arc. You did commendable for protecting a fellow student from slander and hatred. You fought for her light against the darkness of bigotry and hate that was shown by these four young men. I am proud of you upholding the hunter mentality."

Cardin turns angrily to Ozpin and yells out, "You are supporting him for protecting this animal bitch instead of supporting your own race?! What the hell headmaster!? You should banish him for hurting upcoming hunters for the good and human kind! And you should have his head removed for hurting the son of a council member!!"

Ozpin stared stone faced at Cardin. He took a sip of his coffee. Finishing what he had in his cup. Glancing down at it to ensure it was empty he glanced back up at the idiotic boy who was no longer a man in his eyes.

Cardin goes to ask what is taking his decision so long. When he suddenly has an aura infused coffee cup slam into his face and flips him twice ass over head on the ground before he is now laying on his back unconscious.

Ozpin pulses his aura snapping Cardin out of his impromptu sleep as he triggers Cardins minimal survival instinct. His friends are all on the ground barely keeping their eyes up from the pressure from Ozpins aura pulsing over them.

They notice Jaune and his friends are not affected at all.

Unknown to all the pressure Ozpin is using is only directed at CRDL. Covering only their half of the room.

His control was that effective.

They all stay down as Ozpin rises to his full height and yells out, "YOU SHALL BE QUIET CARDIN WINCHESTER!!! YOU HAVE VIOLATED THE CREED OF HUNTERS TO PROTECT THE LIGHT OF THE SOUL OF THE INNOCENT! TO PROTECT ALL OF HUMANITY FROM THE GRIMM!! YOU HAVE EVEN BROUGHT HARM TO YOUR FELLOW HUNTER JAUNE ARC AND HUNTRESS VELVET SCARLATINA!! TO ME YOU ARE NOT A TRUE HUNTSMAN. YOU ARE NOT EVEN A YOUNG MAN! YOU ARE A MERE ANGRY LITTLE BOY! TO ME YOU NEED AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!!!"

CRDL are all now lying flat on their backs from the force of Ozpins yell and are quivering from it.

He eases the pressure and tells Goodwitch, "They will be expelled for now. We shall decide further punishments at a later time. For now they are banned from classes. And are under house arrest until the local authorities take them to a prison. If before that happens we decide on a fitting punishment. Then we can send them to it. But until then they will be under arrest for assault on a fellow person and assault with deadly weapons. Take them to their room and have a guard positioned to watch them to make sure no one breaks their house arrest."

Glynda nods and leads CRDL away.

They go under protest and heavy resistance until Glynda lifts them and hangs them upside down telling them either go under their own power or go while she bumps them down each of the 2,000+ steps to get to the lobby of the tower.

They boys quickly agreed to walk.

The rest of the students turn to Ozpin with expectant eyes. Ozpin smiles and lets them know no punishments shall come to them while giving them a pass to classes tomorrow so they can come talk to him for any emotional counseling needs they may have.

Jaune waves the gift off as he wants to make it to class no matter what. Alongside everyone else. Except for Blake and Velvet. They both take the pass and organize times for them to come talk with Ozpin tomorrow. They have a lot to unpack from this incident.

They all head back and leave the office while Ozpin sighs to himself. A promising team expelled due to bigotry and racism clouding their ideals and their view. If only less people were under that misunderstanding.

But he knew with these other students who are the future that are willing to fight for and change the current ideals and views would make a big difference.

Especially those of Weiss and Blake as the daughters of the two big voices on both sides of the spectrum from this fight for equality.

He turns to the window as he thinks to what is needed for the students to grow. If they can gain more from this incident then it is a good thing hidden among all the bad.

But if they fall from this incident then he needs to think about how best to help them heal so they can grow into beacons of might and power. Instead of the flickering embers that many a huntsman has fallen to due to the never ending darkness of the Grimm.

He sips his cup and sighs deeply, "I'm getting way too old for this defender of humanity thing. But no one else can do it. I just hope James, Leo, and Theodore are doing their part to keep the realm safe."

(Author: Oooh boy. *looks to the audience* who wants to tell the poor wizard?)

He returns to his paper work and gets ready to mark CRDL'S members as expulsion students and as people to put under a red warning list for other academies.

He sighs as he hopes the students are recovering from this ordeal.

Back with the said students.

Velvet returns to her team dorm after hugging everyone of the members of RWBY and JNPR as thanks for saving her and standing up for her.

Blake's ears twitch in joy at knowing that people can indeed benefit from them fighting for those in need. But they also deflate in sadness as she realizes that there is a lot more to fight for.

Yang, Ruby, and Nora all notice the ears moods and are taking secret pictures.

Pyrrha and Nora are still seething as they both still remember Jaune fighting so hard against some foes who would take advantage of an unarmed and unprotected opponent.

Jaune explains to them, "Well at least I had my compression suit underneath to help me with some basic protection. Though Ruby will need to repair it from the cuts, stabs, and burn marks it now sports. I may be fine but the gear needs repairs."

Ruby gives him a thumbs up as he then turns to Blake, "And on that note. Is there anything we can do for you right now Blake? We felt it over the connection. What Cardin said really hit you hard. Please let us know if there is anything you need us to listen to before and after your session with Ozpin okay?"

Blake thinks it over. She sees them all supporting her. And she sighs deeply before sitting down on her bed. Yang joins her with Ruby as everyone else grabs a bed or chair in the RWBY dorm room.

She sighs out as she begins, "First... Please wait until I'm done with the basic story before you ask questions... Please? It gets shocking."

Everyone nods as Blake sighs out, "The reason I was hit hard by Cardin mentioning the White Fang. I know of that mission. I was a top operative of the secret division. The ones who go covert. His story hit home cause I realized... I could have stopped his mother's death if I spoke up."

Everyone goes wide eyed as she explains, how she had a vote to cast. The White Fang were on a split decision. Either hit up a new chain of anti faunus stores. Or hit up the new hotel owned by the Winchester family. The last of the family was supposed to be there to inspect it and make decisions. But the new chain store was by the SDC who were really pushing for loophole filled employment in Vale.

The top brass were split.

Adam made the deciding vote for the Winchesters for siding with the loopholes that atlas made in Vale and we're beginning to use them themselves. While Blake had a vote left to go against that decision and lock them back into a stalemate.

She was given the last chance to make a different raid decision. But she abstained as Adam's reasoning as her teacher... Made too much sense. So she went along.

Everyone was in shock at her story as she goes into how she went for the lower floors to tear up the hotel and make messages for the staff and owners to change their ways or they would get more than a torn up hotel.

That's where it should have ended. Where they were promised the raid would stop.

But Adam was in rage. He saw Cardins mother and saw her working on documents for the employee reforms.

He saw red.

Then he was painted red.

That was the third mission Blake saw him come back with blood on him. But this time instead of a grimace or a face of conflicted emotions.

Adam was smiling.

He took pride and pleasure in ending this person's life.

And Blake realized she made a bad call with the mission vote. And for sticking with Adams growing sense of self righteousness for culling humans.

Blake made her final decision then. To leave the White Fang.

She goes silent as everyone processes the story.

Weiss stands. Walks to a now cowering Blake who is afraid Weiss will explode. Only to suddenly be hugged.

Yang and Ruby join in and Blake tears up and cries quietly into the hugs. She stays in their embrace for a while before breaking apart and sniffling a bit at her friends with a small smile.

Jaune nods and hugs her next as one by one Nora, Ren, and Pyrrha all follow.

Soon enough Blake feels much better knowing her friends all support her still and don't blame her for the mission. And not for Adams descent into madness.

They all agree to go study for now as Blake will be absent from classes tomorrow to make her appointment with Ozpin.

Jaune notices a look from Pyrrha and Nora as he grins and motions for them to head to the locker rooms.

Ren notices and waves them on telling them he will have some note outlined for them to study from once they are back.

Jaune thanks him and promises to pay him back with some tea recipes from his family.

Ren smirks and holds him to that promise as the trio of warriors all head out for a short training date together.
