CHAPTER 55

JAUNE ARC POV

He looked at the multiple dots in the map of Remnant in his Scroll.

All showing a potential waifu that he could either capture or sell to the Company.

He looked at the half dozen dots in the Haven Academy and zoomed in on them.

Cinder Fall and Emerald. He could see their faces now.

He looked at the two other dots close to each other in the vast wilderness of the Anima Continent.

Raven Branwen and Vernal.

The Beacon Academy itself had a dozen dots in it. The largest dot being that of Glynda Goodwitch.

He could even see Amber in her underground location in Beacon.

But the largest dot in the whole world wasn't anywhere near him.

It wasn't even in any of the 5 known continents.

A few hundred miles North-West to Vacuo, he could see an entire new Continent.

An uncharted one that isn't shown in any of the maps he had seen so far.

The land of Darkness.

The place where Salem lives.

He clicked on the largest dot and saw the image of Salem pop out in front of him.

Well…

She's hot if nothing else.

He felt a hand on his shoulder and almost jumped out of his seat.

He turned and saw that it was Pyrrha.

"Pyrrha. You scared me."

"Sorry." She said with an apologetic smile before she took a chair and sat beside him. "What have you been up to?"

He thought about it for a moment before he decided to be honest and showed his scroll to Pyrrha.

Pyrrha looked at the Scroll and her eyes became serious in an instant.

"So… she's the one?"

"She is."

Pyrrha was silent for a moment before she spoke "Well… You sure know how to pick your women if nothing else."

He rolled his eyes and took his scroll back from her though he didn't deny her words.

Say what you will about Salem, she was a top-grade Milf. And there was no denying that.

"Something in your mind?" Pyrrha asked.

He nodded "Just thinking about how to defeat Salem."

"Anything wrong with the plan we already have in place?" Pyrrha asked.

"Aside from the immense risk all of us will be taking by going against her?" he asked with a wry chuckle before he scrolled through the screen and ended up in front of an Option and showed it to her.

"What is this?" Pyrrha asked.

"Read it yourself." He told her.

Pyrrha took the scroll from him and read the Option.

He shrugged and told her to continue reading.

Pyrrha was silent after reading through the option. Then she read it again two more times before she turned toward him and blinked.

"I… suppose I can the see the value of this app." She said "With this… things would so much easier. Simpler."

"Not as simple as you're assuming." He said "We'll still have to go all the way to the Land of Darkness where she'll definitely sense us with her magic. But yes. With this, things would be easier."

Pyrrha nodded. "How… how are you going to gather the points for this?"

"The same as before. I'll sell Cinder, Emerald, and Vernal and I'll capture Raven because of her Maiden powers."

"That'll… give us… 66 points." Pyrrha said as she did the maths in her head "With the 8 points you already have, that'll be 74. We'll still need 26 more points."

(AN: Made a mistake in the counting. Selling Cinder, Emerald and Vernal will give 16 points each, leading to a total of 78 instead of 66. I've corrected this later on.)

"We will" he nodded and took the scroll back from her.

"You have any other candidate in your mind for that?" she asked.

He stayed silent for a while before he finally spoke "Glynda. Capturing her will give me 30 points. But…"

"But she also works closely with Ozpin and Ozpin will realize that something is wrong as soon as you capture her."

"Yes. And capturing her won't be easy as well. You and Neo are probably stronger than her at this point. But she'll still a 6th tier candidate with years of experience and won't go down without a fight."

"You can always capture Yang, Ruby, and Weiss." She said.

"No," he said without giving it a second thought.

Until the situation was very dire, he won't enslave his friends and teammates.

Pyrrha didn't push him after that.

They stayed silent for a while before he finally noticed something.

"Oh…"

"What is it?" Pyrrha asked.

"It seems like they have finally left the Haven Academy." He said as he looked at the multiple dots moving from Haven Academy toward Vale.

AN: A Chapter without much action. But I just wanted to point out how utterly easy it is for a person to win with the Waifu Catalog because some of the options given in it are truly overpowered.

I'm afraid that if I don't force the plot and generate needless conflicts, introduce new characters or Overpower the already existing enemies then Jaune will defeat Salem with ease. But I also don't want to force the plot so I'm in a bit of a pickle here.

Any ideas you guys might give would be appreciated.

The ideas you give me might not be immediately useful in this arc (because +40 chapters in Patreon) but they'll definitely be useful for the next arc when Jaune and Party eventually go to the next world.
