KARIN UZUMAKI POV

"Hello, Karin." She heard a voice behind her and jumped away in panic, only for one of her legs to tangle in her blankets and fall face-first on the floor.

"Ow."

She massaged her nose and looked at the person who had entered her room so late at night and was now sitting on her bed.

She saw the small silhouette of a teenager in her bed and went for the kunai at her table.

The light was switched on and when she turned to face the intruder with her kunai… she paused and simply stared at him.

'So this is what love feels like.' She thought, the kunai dropping from her hands as she went and straddled the blond-haired boy.

"Well, hello there handsome." She said with a smile "May I know the name of the boy who won my heart?"

The boy raised an eyebrow at her nonchalant attitude.

"You're not going to talk about mind control?" He asked a hint of amusement in his eyes.

She sighed at him for breaking the mood she was trying to set up.

"No." She said "I have always wanted to fall in love with someone. Even if this is some kind of Genjutsu, it seems real enough to me."

"You're a strange girl." He said as he caressed her face and she shivered under his touch. Kami, this whole thing seemed so real.

She took a deep breath and looked up and down at him. Or as much of him as she could see while straddling his lap. "You don't look injured to me. Who do you want me to heal?"

The boy, who had still not told her his name tilted his head "Why do you think that I want you to heal someone."

She pointed at her hands and then paused when she realized that the hundreds of bite marks covering both her hands had… simply vanished.

"Is this Genjutsu?" She asked as she touched her flawless skin. It felt real enough to her but she knew that the masters of Genjutsu could make you feel practically anything they want you to feel.

"No. You've been healed." The boy said "And you're safe now. No one else will hurt you ever again."

She blinked and realized that she believed him.

If he said that no one will hurt her then no one will hurt her.

She didn't know why she believed him. Maybe it was just another aspect of the genjutsu but she knew that she could trust him with her life.

Tears formed in her eyes and she sobbed before pulled him in a desperate hug.

She buried her face on his collar and felt him place his arms around her.

She sobbed in his arms for a while before she sniffed and separated from him in order to look at him in the eyes.

"If you don't want me to heal anyone then what do you want?" She sniffed, wondering if this was just a dream and if she'll be waking any moment now.

She didn't want this to be a dream.

He looked at her with a sincere expression and gave her a warm smile "I want you."

And she knew at that moment that she would do anything for him. Mind control or not.

NARUTO UZUMAKI POV

He covered the sleeping form of Karin Uzumaki with a warm blanket and silently walked out of the Guest room before closing it behind him.

Then he walked through the long corridors of his mansion, feeling a little melancholic and disappointed.

He had forgotten the fact that at this point, Karin was still a 13-year-old genin of the Village Hidden in the Grass and not a researcher working for Orochimaru.

Seeing the girl crying and clinging to him made him realize how much her life must have sucked before she fell in Orochimaru's clutches.

It also made him understand why she went back to showing affection to Sasuke Uchiha even when the fucker stabbed her through the chest in order to kill Danzo.

The girl didn't love Sasuke. Not truly.

She just wanted to be with somebody who would keep her safe, even if that someone treated her like shit.

And with how tragic her past was, he couldn't blame her either.

He was also a little disappointed in the fact that she was not the researcher he had hoped for but just a young genin from a Hidden Village.

And that she had only given him 6 points instead of the 12 points he had hoped for.

He shook his head.

So what if she wasn't a researcher right now?

So what if she was weak right now?

She was his and he would do his best to help her reach her full potential.

But for now…

He took out his scroll at looked at how many points he had accumulated.

189 points.

"Damn!" He whistled to himself.

He had really earned a lot of points ever since he arrived in this world, hasn't he?

When he first arrived in this world, he was a little disappointed by the fact that he didn't the 365 points he thought he would get for going to a world with 6th tier Danger Rating.

He still felt a little cheated whenever he thought about the points that he should have gained and didn't. But now that he was earning more points left and right, he felt better.

And once he gains the Rinnegan, he'll be able to capture and sell the women whose corpses he had collected which would give him even more points.

With that in mind, he should probably buy some of the important perks, talents, and other things that he had wanted to buy for a while.

He hummed and scrolled through the scroll (pun not intended) until he found what he looking for.

Apportation

Type: Perk

Cost: 25

Requires: Tempest Runes 1 or Shroud of Power

You and your waifus are now capable of teleporting yourselves, or anything in hand, to anyone else within your retinue as a whole with a few moments' concentration. Doing this without some method of advance warning may be ill-advised. If you have a Pocket Apartment or higher, you may teleport objects into appropriate spaces in the apartment instead of dropping directly in on someone else.

If you have All Roads Lead to Home, you and your waifus may always teleport into the apartment instead of opening portals therein. If you do so personally and then try to open a portal out, you must still place the exit reasonably close to your previous outside-world location.

Teleporting something you have in hand does not require ownership, but certain conceptual limitations and the time required to initiate and complete the teleportation prevent this ability from being used as an attack or defense vector. You can't strip your enemies of their Infinity+1 armor by grabbing hold of them, let alone telefragging people, nor shunt incoming bullets into a containment unit back at home.

A person or item held by your or a retinue member's telekinesis, shroud, or insides (or some other method) may be teleported as if it's literally in hand. Merely encompassing it with subtle manifestations of the Shroud (as enabled by Elemental Loom) doesn't count.

He read through the description twice more to be absolutely certain of what he was buying before he pressed on the 'Buy' button.

Apportation Purchased for 25 Points.

That done, he moved on to the next Perk, which was…

Faerie Feast: Master Chef

This Perk basically allows his waifus or clones to make food that is just as good as the food he makes.

It wasn't something very important but he was a little tired of making food for his girls all the time and wanted to delegate some of that task to either his clones or his girls.

Faerie Feast: Master Chef Purchased for 10 Points

That done, he scrolled down until he came across the Talent that he had wanted to buy for a 'long' while now.

Science Talent

Cost: 20

You know. You can keep up with Scientific babble, operate any computer, smart device, or vehicle as if you grew up with it, and rapidly learn any scientific magic you encounter. This is an experience and skill acquisition multiplier, not a flat improvement, and scales to the strength and skill of your opponents and trainers: the better they are than you, the faster you learn, until you've caught up to them.

He didn't even need to think twice about it.

Science Talent Purchased for 20 Points

And since he wanted to share his Science and Psychic Talent with his girls.

Talent Sharing (Psychic Talent) Purchased for 10 Points

Talent Sharing (Science Talent) Purchased for 10 Points

And… done.

114 Points

Now the only thing he wanted to buy was the Dragon Blood. And what that, he would have bought the most important things provided to him by the Catalog and wouldn't have to worry as much about the future.
