CHAPTER Thirty - The Unexpected Demon Attack
"Alright, take your time." Queen Iris answered me as King Aaron leaned over to her to whisper to her. She turned to him and whispered back to him.
My gaze moved to King Vlad and I saw his reddish dark eyes already staring at me. I felt my breath hitch at the intensity of his stare and he looked intrigued as he kept his gaze on me. A blush rose to my cheeks and I turned my eyes away from his prodding stare. I moved it to the clock to see that it was remaining five minutes before it was time for me to take the cake out of the ice.
I decided to bring out the five plates that I will use to serve the cake to the judges. So I opened the drawers and cupboards under the counter in search of them. My eyes caught onto the pile of saucers arranged in one of the cupboards and I pulled out five along with five forks. When I straightened up and placed them on the counter, I glanced at the clock again to see that it was time to bring out the cake.
