Chapter # 17

The teacher clapped and after a brief moment, the students also started clapping. Some

were still silent. Students were coming and showing what they have learnt, but only few were able to perform it perfectly. Angelina also had only one element, which was ice, a sub-type of water. And only she had that element. She casted, "Ice magic First Verse, Ice Shards". 3 to 4 ice shards

appeared and she threw them in the direction of the targets. They didn't have the same explosive power as Ryan's fireball but all accurately hit their targets. Angelina bent over and grabbed her knees, guess 4 shards was her limit for now.

After the remaining students, it was finally time for James. There were also some other noticeable talents. There was a ninja who got the element of wind, a very showy blond boy who got lightning, and a short, quite girl getting gravity.

At the moment, the kid with the most elements was a tall boy, which had a wide smile on his face, was surrounded by a bunch of other kids and was in the possession of 3 elements; earth, fire and wind.

James was now the center of attention. Everybody wanted to know that what would the son of the legends, the person who caused an uproar in the sorting ceremony would and could do. However, James was a bit worried, it was not because of the outcome, that he would tarnish the name of his family. But because what he was about to do might be impossible.

This was further pushed when he saw a big smile on Ms. Karen face while looking at the tall boy and said, "Wow!!!!! I have gotten so many talented students!!!" She was literally jumping with excitement. Then James thought, "Well shit! If a problem arises, I will think of something to sort it out. I really want to prove that I am worthy of being a Hook"

"Now last but on the least, James Hook. Now James, how many elements did you get?", asked Ms. Karen. James replied hesitantly, "Mam, 6...". Ms. Karen's mouth opened a little. She said, "I didn't quite get it. How many?". James thought, "No point in saying it, lets just show them". Yes, he had gotten all 6 elements, expect for ice, maybe that element was blood locked.

Then James casted, "Fire magic First Verse, Fireball". A football size fireball appeared on a circle in James's hand and he threw it upward and kicked it in the direction of the target. The fireball was rapidly spinning and approaching the target. The target exploded and shattered into dust, and James's shoes also caught up some fire. The crowd was shocked. Ms. Karen thought, "Am I getting deaf? No, I seriously heard

him casting a first verse spell. But that power was on par with second verse. Plus, any other beginner would have fainted after using this much mana for the first time. How is he still standing without breaking a sweat?" James said, "Mam, can I continue with the other elements?". Ms. Karen nodded and

thought with excitement brimming over her face, "What a beast I have managed to obtain?". James's focus was now on the second target. One down, five more to go. James then casted, "Aqua magic First Verse, Bubble Burst". Several bubbles appeared on top of James. They all rushed at the target and blasted it into smithereens.

Next the third one, "Earth magic First verse, Iron Fist". A giant hand made out of rocks

was materializing behind the target. James turned his hand into a fist and the rock hand

followed his hand's movement and crushed the target leaving behind dust.

Everyone was jaw-dropped. The smile and crowd disappeared from the tall boy and Ms. Karen placed both her hands on her face. Behind it was an evil grin as she though, "Nobody can stop Red Raven from winning the house cup this year!" James then said, "Mam... I still have more".

Everyone was frozen, they didn't move nor speak. James said, "I'll just focus on the next target". Three down, three more to go. James casted, "Wind magic First Verse, Wind Blade". A windy samurai blade conjured in his hands and the ninja boy fell on the floor.

He thought, "I, the descendant of the wind clan, who have spent his whole life facing the wind, could not achieve what he has done flawlessly". James swung the wind blade and several slashes from it flew towards the target and cut the target and accidently the tree behind it.
