"Remind me why I had to come with you for something like this?" Jade asked while gazing around at the flowers that covered the shop they were in. He had never been that interested in decorating and yet he had been coerced into helping Noel.

"If we're both going to be staying in the same place you're obviously going to help me carry things back. A bit of plant life really livens up a place." Noel said while looking around to find plants that would match with their new apartment.

The longer they took in the shop to look at plants the more Jade began to feel bored and out of place. No matter what the apartment looked like he did not hold a bit of interest. He had never taken an interest in decorating or plants because for him it was never about those things. Noel on the other hand was a free spirit and took an interest in many things whether it was his strange love for oranges or the way he'd be willing to toss everything away in order to be with Jade. It was incredibly easy for Noel to take an interest in new and beautiful things and it was that very interest that had Noel pulling Jade along to shop with him for plant life to surround themselves with.

"So you really like this sort of thing? How very.. cute." Jade smirked as he slowly picked up a rose in his hand and began to twirl it around in between his thumb and index finger. Contemplating for a way to get himself out of the shop he had an idea come to him. It was rather easy to come up with something when he thought about it. His eyes were carefully watching the back of Noel as the barkeep casually searched through the plants.

"It's a very common thing for people to be interested in plants for their homes." Noel blushed slightly as heard Jade call him cute. He wasn't sure he would never get used to how openly Jade expressed himself. He knew the man had always been a very blunt man but even after Jade had realized his deep feelings for Noel he had never wavered in expressing it.

"Hey, barkeep," Lifting the rose slowly up to his own mouth he carefully wrapped his tongue around the long stem of the rose and held it between his lips.

Stepping himself up behind Noel's back he clasped his hand down on the barkeep's shoulder to gain his attention as he leaned in beside the man's cheek. As Noel turned to glance back at Jade his face was met up close with Jade's. Instantly upon their gazes meeting Jade's lips were pressed up firmly against Noel's. The man's tongue began to slowly unwind as it pushed the long stem of the rose into Noel's lips until the barkeep was holding the rose's stem in between his teeth. The once small blush on Noel's face had completely deepened to the point that Jade almost wondered if the man would faint. He could feel the barkeep's hot breath heavily exhaling against his own lips as he slowly pulled his face back.

"I guess you're right. They seem like they could be fun to have around the apartment." Jade's face lit up as he spoke in a smile that made Noel begin to shiver from head to toe as he could only imagine what Jade must be thinking about.

"I think I'd rather we just go home for today." Noel quickly spoke as he pulled the rose from his mouth and held it in his hand. Jade was still leaning in slightly to his face causing him to find it hard to calm the pounding in his chest. It felt as though he could hear his own heart beating.

"That works for me too." Jade chuckled to himself as he knew he had shaken up the barkeep. The sight of the man fidgeting to resolve the situation in front of him made him want to push the barkeep further but if he did he worried the man would faint where they stood.

Noel was not sure how to take the look on Jade's face that had him worried. Over their time together he had gotten use to noticing when Jade had something on his mind that he did not want to speak out loud. The look that he had standing there was something else entirely that looked more like he was planning to do something. He was not sure what Jade was thinking but it made him hope it wasn't something crazy to punish him for dragging him along to a flower shop but knowing Jade he wasn't going to let it go that easily.

Later that same day Noel found himself working at the bar. As much as he loved working at the bar that night he could not get comfortable. When arriving at work he had found it covered in vases full of roses to remind him of the earlier remark Jade had made to him. They covered everything from the floor to the bar counters. The entire night Noel had been repeatedly asked about the sudden decoration of the bar in roses only to become flustered.

Sitting in front of him at the bar counter was Jade who sipped quietly at his own beverage. A smile was decorating his face as he watched the flustered Noel try to work his job while surrounded by the thing that would force him to recall their earlier kiss. Though the memory of the kiss was one that could cause the barkeep to become flustered and nervous when asked about the flowers it was still one that caused his heart to race. As the scent of the roses filled the bar he could only recall the sweet and tender feeling of Jade's lips against his own. Glancing over at Jade he could see the warm gaze of his eyes on him as well.

Under the bar counter sat the original rose Jade had used to kiss Noel, right next to the barkeep's phone.
