Chapter 5: Jack and Comparison

I opened the doors to my room, my mouth twitched repeatedly as I somehow made my way to my bed and just sat there like I was thinking about the fate of the world, which technically I was but in a different way.

In my hands were countless papers, model agencies and cafes, random painters and some shady people giving me business cards, some yakuza people asking me to be their dealer girl. GIRL!

"Honestly, is my existence a walking anti-world phantasm?! Why is everyone treating me like a girl?!"

It was indeed fun the first time around, but 20 consecutive people approaching me and calling me a girl gets boring, real fast.

"Well, the job offers are welcome though..."

An image of me wearing a maid outfit somehow got compared with a certain gray haired maid trap.

Ignoring my creepy thoughts of pranks, I started thinking back at my first fight...well, aside from stressing out this world's "tutorial" level difficulty then it wasn't a fight.

It was a solid beat down.

"If a subskill is already that amazing, how would the actual main skill be?"

A new image of me wearing a dark coat while a huge clock towered over me as I leisurely touched a monster, it aging fast enough to turn to dust.

On the other hand, according to my rough estimates, a reincarnated stray devil would be somewhere around 5 to 6 stat points. While a if they were a certain piece like knight or rook, then their agility and constitution to increase respectively, a bishop would increase intelligence no doubt while a queen would have a boost to all stats.

"Question is how much?"

If a stray devil was 5 to 6, they're stray because they either left or something then a reincarnated devil with a valid connection with their king would be around 7 to 8, that means...

"Reincarnated Devils and or Devils with pieces would have 9 to 10 in their respective specialties bar queens"

I laid down on my bed and sighed. I was plenty strong but not strong enough to be a threat, at most I can superficially survive on this town but for me to act my job and best bugger I'm supposed to deal with, I needed to be stronger, capitalize on my demi-god traits...

On the good side, this world wouldn't be able to kill me because if Divine Body is as op as it sounds then I'll be half indestructible against weaklings.

Also, Chrono Burst was busted combined with Gaia's Blessing, I'm effectively a tank. A literal undying monster at low to mid class levels, high class would be able to get past my 30 constitution invulnerability, why? Because high-class should have around C to B or 30 to 40 stat points, pawns included.

(AN: E - 10, D - 20, C - 30, B - 40, A - 50, I combined my stat points version and the parameter rules to make a simpler letter based equivalent. In other words, yes, he will go to the Nasuverse +, ++, +++ just multiples the specific letter to itself by 1, 2 and 3, example would be E++ being 30 and C+ would be 60)

Those of the maou to super class though, they'd probably have A to A+ and then A++ to A+++ respectively.

Prominent Gods are obviously EX, with the exception of minor ones, after brainstorming on what to do, I decided that having a goal was first and foremost.

In other words, let's say you're playing an RPG and you want to be strong, what would your goal be?

"Big ass fucking weapons"

I opened the shop and scrolled to the SSR window, one thing I realized is that R has basic stuff like, Basic CQC, Basic Sword fighting, Basic Fencing, Standard Sword, Standard Staff, Fire Ball, Water Ball and stuff similar to those.

The SR, was as mentioned by none other than me before, was full of the slightly mythical and has hints of other fiction stuff like, Shigure Soen Ryu, Mana Burst and stuff.

SSR was the cream of the crop. A den of other fiction stuff, bordering on mainly ONLY weapons. There are some other things but most of it are busted weapons and shit like, Stands, Excalibur, Vasavi Shakti, Clarent, Gae Bolg, Gundams, yes, they have fucking Gundams.

Now you see what I mean by goals.

And my very first one was none other than the infamous Noble Phantasm of Achilles, Dromeus Komētēs or for simplicity's sake, let's English-ize it to Runner Comet.

"Hoh? That's a surprise, I guess my boss isn't so bad after all"

I went to the quest screen and, I take it back.

[In a year, make yourself known throughout the supernatural world. Get hit by lightning trice. Find a way to hurl a comet to your face, similar or not. Lastly, find the descendant of Achilles and beat him in a race]

[Failure Penalty: Nothing, this is a free do or not quest, but you'd miss a discount]

[Rewards: 10% Discount for each task done. Completing the mission gives an additional 20% and an upgrade to the skill]

Look. I know that it has very good rewards and a not so scary penalty but...

"HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO HURL A FUCKING COMET TO MY FACE?! WHERE THE HELL DO I FIND THE ACHILLES JR? AND WHY THE FUCK WOULD I HIT MYSELF WITH LIGHTNING?!"

My mood plummeted, my previous happy thoughts was replaced with a itching feeling to actually DO those tasks. While doing my best to deny the need to do the quest, curiosity poked me and I opened my stat page.

"Yep, there's no distribution point..."

I stood up and stared at the floor, if my guess was right then the only way to increase stats would be to do something.

I laid down facing the floor with my body being supported by my palms.

A pushup, something I've never ever done in my entire life.

"1..."

Nothing happened.

"2..."

Still nothing.

"23..."

Maybe I was wrong?

"234..."

This is boring, I liked watching paint dry more, not that we ever used paint.

"23,456..."
