"I figured."

Healing items and magic for hunters is a curious subject to Itachi. It's something he's unfamiliar with since he has only had mana circulating his veins for a few months now.

"Healing magic considers that your body has only one true unwounded state and does its best to get you to restore that state whenever you are injured leaving no scars," Shin explained the concept of healing to Itachi.

It seemed to work differently from chakra which stimulated the body's ability to heal through cell replication. Healing magic used mana to undo the action that injured your body before, even more disfiguring ones like losing an arm. It's a truly magical phenomenon.

'If that's the case though then it makes sense as to why Mai is still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The poison afflicting her body is continuously destroying her muscles and organs if the doctors in the hospital couldn't use healing magic then she would have died long ago,' Itachi concluded to himself after receiving the information and analysing it for himself.

The hospital was working everyday to come up with an antidote for the poison afflicting Mai Kazama's systems. It was causing her organs to fail and muscles to spasms at random moments if doctors weren't provided with healing hunters by the Association then she would have been a died long ago. It was only because of the Association that she was still alive right now, but that would only continue for so long before they would before they would pull out because of financial reasons. Without that financial support from the Association then she wouldn't be able to survive any longer than a few hours unless someone else stepped in to support her medical finances.

"Why are poisons always so bothersome,"

...

He was out in the park with Izumi getting ready for a casual job around the park. It was her day off and she told Itachi that she wanted to spend it exercising with him. "Are you sure you can keep up?" Itachi asked jokingly.

"Hey, I may not be as athletic as you, but I'll have you know I was a gold medalist in track and field!" Izumi told Itachi with a challenging grin on her face.

"Right..." Itachi said simply as he started sprinting off into the distance. "Wha...! Hey! That's not fair," Izumi yelled sprinting after him.

He had long stopped running and was now doing a stretch waiting for Izumi to catch up with him.

"Haah! Haah.... Ha! Wh-Why? Did you run so fast?!" Izumi pouted in his direction after finally catching up with him. She was sweating profusely and panting from exhaustion.

"I'm sorry, I guess I was just lost in thought," Itachi apologized with a sheepish look on his face.

"You've gotten pretty famous these past few days. Are you thinking about which guild you want to join?" Itachi just looked at her with a surprised expression confirming that she hit the nail on the head. "Don't look at me like that! I know things especially when they concern my son," Izumi said very passionately.

"I guess I'm not too sure which one to join or if I even want to join one, but I think if I did it would be Draw Sword Guild," Itachi told her.

Izumi just nodded agreeing with what he was saying, "It would make the most sense. They are the strongest and best run guild after all, but you seem reluctant about it."

"Do I? I guess if I were to give a reason then I'd say they're very bothersome," Having such close ties to the Hunter's Association and the government would lead to them having a lot of political influence, which would in turn force unforseen restrictions for him in the future.

"But they are the strongest."

"Well, don't leave behind like that again or I'm grounding you for a week," Izumi threatened him.

—Note—

When Izumi grounds Itachi he isn't allowed to enter dungeons or train using mana or his techniques. This was a punishment she thought of when she realized that she couldn't confine her son to the barriers of his room after his awakening.

"We can go get some dango to make up for it," Itachi offered her as a peace offering. There was this new flavor he had been meaning to try.

"... Fine," Izumi glared briefly but eventually relented as she couldn't pass up a chance to eat dango.

"Alright. I'll see you there!" Itachi waved away as he run in the direction of the dango eatery. "Hey! Wait! Don't run off like that!" she grit her teeth in frustration at Itachi's actions.

'I swear that boy for has no respect for his elders...' Izumi started to run after Itachi trying to race him to the eatery.

...

It had been a few hours since he had dango with Izumi. After that they parted ways, with him heading to the Hunter Auction House for some equipment to purchase. He did tell himself to invest in some high level armor after the results of his first A-rank gate. This way he could minimize the risk of injury to himself significantly, and it was also another of telling Izumi that he was being more careful in the dungeon. He didn't want to worry her more than he already was.

It was at the Hunter Auction House where he happened to ran into Tawata Kanae, S-rank hunter and S-rank healer, Shimizu Akari of Draw Sword Guild.

Tawata Kanae was a young woman with long black hair, blood-red eyes, purple lipstick, and black fingernails. She also had a very toned physique along with numerous black tattoos that covered her arms and the upper left half of her chest. She was dressed in a loose dark pink jacket that showed her midriff, black armored boots, and black baggy pants.

Shimizu Akari was young woman with large light brown eyes and light orange-brown hair that she wore in two buns with neck-length hair strands hanging on either side. She was dressed in a detailed light pink hoodie with red lines running running along the embroidery, and matching black pants and combat boots.

The reason Itachi knew it was them from sight alone is because he researched into Draw Sword guild throughly as he tends to do with any subject he's unfamiliar with. He could recall all the faces and abilities that were displayed by the online Association's database on the S-rank hunters of Draw Sword. Which is why he could recognize the powerful hunters instantly.

'They each individually have a really strong presence, even stronger than Tanaka." Which was impressive for Akari considering that she was a healer and healers aren't known for their strength. Although, Itachi felt that Tanaka still hadn't fully acclimated to his new powers yet?

"Hey! Old man!" Kanae yelled very loudly, not once taking her eyes off of the dual katanas hanging on the soft red velvet colored wall. They were sealed in glass display cases, alongside various other weapons, meant to withstand strikes from even B-rankers. She called over an old, smartly dressed man with combed white hair. He had a wrinkled face with a golden framed monocle on his right eye.

"Don't be so rude, Kanae," Akari playfully chastised her long time guild mate. She watched the old store clerk scramble to help them completely ignoring the new teenager customer entering the store.

"Yes, ma'am," the old man said politely, wiping some sweat off his brow.

"I want these ones. How much are they?" Kanae told him whilst pointing at two sleek black hilted katanas. The guard on the katanas were rounded with a red metallic color to them.

"Very good choice, ma'am. Those are A-rank blades with exceptional cutting force and balanced weight for efficient tandem slicing," the store clerk explained the weapons functionality.

"I know, that's why I picked them." she paused for a moment before tilting her head to the side. "Are you gonna say something or are you gonna keep staring?" Kanae rose an elegant brow, calling Itachi out on his staring.

Itachi frowned slightly at her comment because he wasn't staring, he was just observing. He let out a small sigh of annoyance at being called out and made his way over to the scowling woman.

"My name is Uchiha Itachi, nice to meet you, Tawata Kanae and Shimizu Akari," he said politely with a bow of head.

"Uchiha... Why does does that name sound familiar?' Kanae thought returning the respectful bow in kind. She had been an S-rank hunter for 3 years now and wasn't unfamiliar with having fanboys follow her around hoping for autographs or a photo with her. But she had a feeling that she heard that name mentioned by someone in the guild recently.

"Uchiha? Oh! You're that guy Kenjo has been talking about so animatedly. Even Master Goto is impressed with him," Akari clapped her hands together with another smile on her face.

"So you're the one that's got the master so pumped up recently. I'm not impressed to be honest, you don't look like much," Kanae told the ponytailed teen very harshly.

"You shouldn't judge by appearances. You may be shocked by what I'm able to do," Itachi said as a confident rebuttal.

The red eyed woman just rolled her eyes at the statement. She was at the pinnacle of hunter society, her strength being praised by most and feared by some. It annoyed her quite a bit that this upstart was acting all high and mighty in her presence, it made her want to put him in his place.

"You're pretty confident in your abilities, kid. You think you can back it up? I mean you quote on quote beat Kenjo in a fight and he's an S-rank," Kanae said very challenging whilst walking up to the stoic teenager.

"...Eh? Kanae, I don't think you're allowed to fight in here. Besides if you beat up a kid it will be bad for your PR," Akari tried to calm down her friend and trying to prevent the whole store from going up in flames.

"I'm not interested in fighting anyway," Uchiha walked passed her and went to address the old man behind her.

'What just happened?' she thought to herself, completely taken off guard by the whole interaction with the brat.

She saw the brat talking with old man about some kind of armor he wanted to purchase, ignoring her presence entirely.

She scowled at the brat's attitude, walking towards the old man and dragging him to the counter in a fit of anger.

The man was scared for his life wondering what he did to earn the ire of the bloody eyed S-ranker.

"I want those katanas. So here's the money!" Kanae angrily slammed a fat stack of yen on the counter and went to go grab the black hilted katanas from display panel. She slammed the door on her way out.

"We don't accept cash... Only card payments..." the old man said in soft voice, knowing it was useless to tell an S-rank hunter any different, especially when they were in a bad mood.

Akari was dragged out of the building by Kanae whilst comically apologizing for her friend's attitude the whole time.

"Are you going to be okay?" Itachi politely asked the old man whilst blinking with an innocent look on his face. He looked as if he was recovering from the scare of his life.

"Y-Yeah..."
