Her heart broke unbelievably as the paramedics told her the harsh truth.

Mandy remembered vividly how he left her in a fit of rage when she caught him cheating again and on their matrimonial bed. His stupid decision had caused him to have a head-on collision with a tanker totaling the car and costing him his life. Hot tears blurred her vision as Mandy struggled with the thoughts of how she would cope without him. They had a mortgage to pay off and a fourteen-year-old to take care of. She couldn't just wrap her head around it all. She had made plans to divorce him but fate had been bitching her ever since he put the ring on her annular finger. She collapsed to the marbled cold floor wondering when it would all go away.
