While on my way to school, I felt like I was going to pass out. My surroundings seemed to wobble, and everything felt off. The reason? I hadn't gotten any sleep last night.
Last Night
After dinner, it seemed like Aunt Marika was trailing me on my way to my room. Once we got there, she was still following me.
"Marika nee-san, if you're planning to sleep in my room, I'm not going to allow it," I said, trying to stand my ground.
"No, no," she replied with a mischievous smile. "I was just wondering if we could play SFO tonight…"
I sighed. "I have school tomorrow."
Her face fell, and she gave me the most dramatic pout imaginable. "Oh, I see… I'll just forget about the 100,000 yen I spent on you earlier. Right, Haru-chan?"
Gaslighting me with a smile. Classic Aunt Marika.
"Fine, fine," I relented. "Let's play. But just for a bit."
She grinned. "Yay! Haru-chan's the best!"
We ended up playing for a couple of hours. Thankfully, Aunt Marika isn't a hardcore gamer, so we didn't stay up too late. But just as I was about to finally crash, she fell asleep on my bed. I tried waking her up, but she grabbed my arm and pulled me down beside her.
"Oi! I know you're awake!" I hissed.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she smirked. "Sleep with me, Haru-chan~"
"No way. I'm not a kid anymore."
"Oh? What's the harm? Or are you getting flustered by your aunt?" she teased.
"No, that's disgusting!"
"Then there's no problem, right? Unless… you have a girlfriend. That would be a problem~" she added with a sly grin.
I didn't bother responding and just let her be. The faster I stopped resisting, the sooner I could at least rest.
Or so I thought. I spent the entire night awake, thanks to her hogging my bed and talking in her sleep.
In class
"Yo, Haru. Still alive?" my best friend Shino greeted me with a grin as I stumbled into class.
"The hell? Don't sneak up on me," I muttered.
"Man, aside from your new hairstyle, those eyebags really stand out. What've you been up to?"
"Nothing much… Just didn't get any sleep."
"Oh, sure," he teased. "Bet you were doing something fun all night, huh?"
"Yeah, gaming," I replied, brushing him off.
The morning classes were brutal. My head kept drooping, and I barely held on. During one particularly boring lecture, I couldn't help but yawn.
"Mishizaki! Is my class so boring that it puts you to sleep?" Shiori-san—I mean, Shiori-sensei—called me out. "See me in my office during lunch."
"Haru, looks like you're getting a private lecture," Shino whispered, chuckling.
Lunch Break
I made my way to Shiori-san's office, making sure no one was watching. I knocked lightly on the door before stepping inside.
"Shiori-sensei, you called me earlier."
She gestured for me to sit. The atmosphere felt… different, almost tense.
"Haru, about earlier…" she began, her tone sharp. "Your behavior was rude and unprofessional."
"I'm sorry," I replied, bowing slightly. "I didn't mean to be disrespectful. I've just been really haven't got any sleep last night.
And then I sat in front of her
Before I could explain further, she suddenly grabbed my necktie and pulled me forward, slamming my chin onto the desk.
"Shiori-sensei! What are you doing?" I exclaimed, trying to pull away.
So, who's bitch did you play with last night??"
Shiori-san's face is so scary. Her tone sounds like she's about to kill someone.
Shiori-sensei... its just my aunt... please release me!!
Is what I need to say but...
Heh
They said that in order to know someone's true nature, make them angry..
I held her hand to calm her down
She slowly released my necktie.
Once I secured the safety of my neck, I said
"Shiori-san, forgive me but... I really played with some girl last night..."
"Her name is Yuna-chan.."
"Yuna....chan??!!" She snapped and smash the table...
Suddenly she grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the office. I barely had time to react as she led me to the music room. Once inside, she locked the door behind us.
It's so dark that it makes me feel that some kind of crime is about to happen.
"Shiori-sensei, what are you doing?" I asked, panicked.
She didn't answer. Instead, she pushed me against the wall and covered my mouth.
"Now, Haru," she whispered, her tone dangerously sweet. "Who's Yuna-chan?"
I couldn't even speak with her hand over my mouth. I tapped her shoulder repeatedly until she finally let go.
"Shiori-san, listen to me," I pleaded. "Yuna-chan isn't real. I was just teasing you. I really did play games with my aunt last night. That's why I'm so tired."
Her expression softened slightly, but she didn't step back. Instead, she leaned closer, sniffing my shirt.
"Shiori-san! What are you doing nowhere?" I asked, bewildered.
"You smell like a girl," she said flatly. "Did you sleep with someone?"
I froze. That damn perfume Aunt Marika gave me!
"No! It's just my aunt's soap and perfume. I swear!" I explained.
She stared at me for a moment, then finally stepped back with a sigh. "Fine. I believe you."
Relieved, I slumped against the wall. "Thank you. Now can I go eat lunch?"
"Not so fast," she said, a sly smile creeping onto her face. She patted my head gently. "Your new hairstyle suits you, Haru."
"Thanks, but seriously, I'm starving."
She giggled. "Alright, you can go. But Haru-kun," she added, her voice dropping to a more serious tone. "Don't let this 'Yuna-chan' joke ever become real."
Before I could respond, she leaned in and gave me a quick kiss on the lips. My eyes widened in shock, but before I could say anything, she stepped back, acting as if nothing had happened.
"Off you go," she said with a playful wave.
I left the music room in a daze. What the hell just happened?!
