XIV. Destiny calls

*after Kyouri's fight"

I stood up, felt my head which where pain was like having your head split in half

Then i remembered Kyouri, who was left inside-

"Kyouri!" I shouted, the building's entrance now reduced to rubble

I ran towards the building, and tried to get rid of the stones blocking the entrance

"Kyouri! Kyouri hang in there!"

Tears and sweat poured down my face

A couple of police then took me by my shoulders and forcefully pulled me away

"No! Let me go! I need to save her!"

"Sir, it's too dangerous"

I tried to pull myself off, my tears falling down

"No! Let me go! Damn it!" I screamed at the top of my lungs

They continued to pull me away, i had managed to slip my arm off

But then a few more people pulled me away

"Let go! Let go!" I bawled

"Sir, calm down"

The next thing i knew, i was on the ground. My vision slowly fading

"Is this your kid? He's-"

"Don't worry, i'll take it from here"

Those were the last lines i heard before i fade away from reality

"Wake up" a voice called to me

"Wake up boy, wake up" it shook my arm

I was then slapped in the face, startling me, waking me up like a disturbed cat

"Get up sleepy head. You're late for your class" she said.

It was just seon, a friend of mine.

She takes care of me now and then. Eversince i was left for dead by my deadbeat mom.

She was in her morning dress, a gray sweatshirt and leggings.

She was clearly excersicing

"Did you have good dreams?" She said, smiling wickedly

"Heck, like i could." I rubbed my hair

The sun was bright, we were in the balcony, Seon was preparing breakfast for the both of us

"Did you just drop me on the couch last night?" I scratched my head

"Yep. Don't bother asking arguing about that. You're heavy like a sack of potatoes"

"Geez! You could have atleast put me on the bed! It's right there at the corner"

"Go carry yourself. I'm not the one that was tazered and held down by a couple of police" he chuckled

I just sighed and dropped my body right back on the couch.

"Get your butt up. Breakfast's ready"

I came running to the dinner table

Before i digged in, i bowed by head

"Praying i see?" She said, sitting down

"I'm proud of you" she smiled

"Really?" I looked at her and grinned

"Just kidding." She said, serving herself fresh eggs on rice

I felt the back of my neck which was sore. I had no clue what happened there

"My neck hurts a bit"

She chuckled

"That's were you were tasered, you dumb boy"

"Damn." I started to eat my bowl of fresh rice

"Who's this Kyouri girl you were ranting about last night? You looked like a drunk man who lost his lottery ticket"

I stopped eating. My chest then felt a heavy drop down to my stomach

"She's... a friend of mine" i said. Looking outside.

"Why don't you call her to see if she's fine?"

Call... her?

I took out my phone and stared

"Should i... really call her?"

"Up to you, dreamboat"

I tapped her number and the phone immediately rang.
