Chapter 7

The atmosphere in Danuja house was for the lack of a better word, horrible. There were no dogs playing outside or napping in the house, a part of them were staying outside alert at the door, while others were pilled up beside Anata. Evan Zeus was standing in the front of the gate.

The girls were standing in the living room, on the floor,chairs or sofa. The Nohara siblings were at the hospital with Tsubaki. While the girls were seating down, Junko was on the floor, her knees in front of Danuja.

'' I'm not apologizing for what I done. No matter what you tell me.'' Junko said holding her head down, in front of her Danuja was looking impassively at the ceiling. She glances at Kiyoko making sign to talk

'' Osanai has a broken sternum, three fractured ribs, a punctured lung, a broken nose and cheekbone, a ripped ear, a sprained foot tendon, various head wounds. He will live without a sternum and constant pain all his life. You didn't kill him, but there are chance he will die at the hospital. '' Tsubaki takes a deep breath '' You are very lucky that it was one of our Inactive members that found him and that you left when you did.''

'' Thank you.'' Danuja voice makes all the eyes snap at her '' Thank you for avenging Tsubaki-'' she holds Junko gaze and soften her voice ''- but I don't know when you ever had the impression that you needed to do this alone. I'm not mad , I don't have any reason to be...But I'm disappointed that you didn't think for a single moment we would help you.''

'' I ...I couldn't stay in that room, knowing that, that scum was walking around without a care.'' Junko said clenching fist, trembling voice

'' We-!'' Takumi said, beside her Kiyoko holding her tears '' We are her friends too, her family too.'' Junko nodded sniffling

'' Get up.'' Danuja gets up and hold her shoulders '' From now on we have a new rule. If we hunt someone like this, then we hunt them together. Not without backup or an idea of what we get into.'' Junko nods letting her head fall at the crook of Danuja head '' From now on, we will never leave without our partners or an Active member. I don't care if you go on a date or meet your parents for dinner. If it isn't inside your homes or at the very last in Setagaya then we follow that rule.'' Danuja pats Junko brown messy hair and continue

'' There will be always two persons with Tsubaki. In rotation, all of us are her friends that means all of us will help.''

'' Tatsuo and Kyoufu-'' the red haired girl and the brown haired one look up '' -I want a weekly report from all our members with their living situation. I want an exact number of how many there are. I know it's a lot of work but I'm sure both of you will do just fine.''

'' Give us a couple of weeks and we are done.'' Tatsuo said without thinking making Kyoufu hit her shin

'' Your words not mine.'' Danuja smirks '' Kiyoko, I want you to talk with Tsubaki about therapy, on both sides. Talk with her doctors too. Junko you go with her.''

'' The three K-'' Kasumi, Katsu and Katsuki look at her ''- I want you three and all our Hunting dogs to search for the remained Moebius.''

'' Takumi, Soushi. We need something to identify our Inactive members. A symbol, a kanji, icon, sign, anything that it easy recognizable but still catch your eyes. ''

'' Ayuna, you are going with me in Shibuya. I need to talk with the Toman Commander.'' the chain at Ayuna hip clinks when she gets up. Danuja claps her hands loudly calling her partners at her. '' Let's get going!''

Before she leaves, Danuja makes sure to slap Junko back. At the very last she didn't buckle.

The walk from the Base to the hospital was filled with silence, comfortable one until they arrived and Kiyoko could feel Junko tense up.

'' Come on-'' she strokes Junko arm ''- she will be happy you come again.'' Kiyoko smiles and takes her to Tsubaki room. Imagine their surprise when they saw a boy lingering in the hallway Tsubaki was

'' Eh..Haruki?'' Junko said surprised. '' What are you doing?'' the boy, Haruki, jumped back surprised looking at them, making the bandages on his face clear

'' Ah! Junko. I'm..I just..wanted to know how she is doing..I hear she wake up'' his answer makes Junko wince

'' You are?'' Kiyoko ask

'' Haruki Hayashida. Pah-chin, Third Division Captain of Toman! ''

'' Oh..he seems reliable.'' Kiyoko says quietly looking at the two. From their conversation it seems they worked together against Osanai, Pah-chin even under his Commander nose, holding on dear life for Junko to arrive

'' The nurse didn't let me knock. She said I could scare her..so I just go back and forth until one of your girls gets out. I really want to know how is she doing..''

'' Hmm.. tell me your room number or your cellphone number. I tell you all you can know after.'' Kiyoko states making Pah-chin eyes brighten

When they enter the room, the girls find Sachiko sewing Tsubaki skirt, the others chatting with Tsubaki. Tsubaki face still holds bruises, purple and dark blue marks, she has a scar on her cheek as well. Her hair was cut as well. She looked calm but tired and even smiled slightly at Nariko jokes, her azure eyes brighted considerably seeing Junko though.

'' Jun-chan!'' her tired eyes crinkled when she smiled at Junko. '' And Kiyoko-chan too!'' Kiyoko waved and made sign for the Nohara's to come outside

'' Let's leave them in their own world.'' with a last glance at the two childhood friends, Junko hand stroking Tsubaki cheek, Kiyoko close the door and goes with the three to search the nurse.

'' How bad it is?'' Kiyoko ask in a more serious tone. They were walking towards the reception,Kiyoko has a report to make and help to find.

'' Well..we don't actually have knowledge about those type of things, but all the nurses looked pretty worried at every visit.''

'' Is bad-'' Nariko said after her cousin finished '' She doesn't want to see any boys, not even the doctor. She doesn't really react seeing them though.''

'' It's more like she gets very angry but can move at the same time. She still talk with us and jokes around but is careful to not approach anything of that night.'' Sachiko finish

'' She eats everything the nurse gives her and doesn't throw up either. But she is upset every time someone else beside us change her clothes or give her a sponge bath.''

'' It's something...'' Nakano said not knowing how to express herself

'' Go and take some food while Junko is there, I need to talk with the nurses.'' she waves at them before entering the 'Staff Only' area. Lat time she heard Miss Sakura transferred here.

'' How is going?'' Kyoufu asked teasingly '' 841,165 on 58.08 km2.''

'' Fuck you.'' Tatsuo said back writing on the keyboard. How the hell was she suppose to find all Inactive Members in two weeks. And made a report every week for each of them '' Right..this isn't working..'' she takes her purple jacket and with Izumi by her side she says '' Come on, I have an idea!''

Surprised Kyoufu runs after her.

'' This is it! '' a tall building looking similar with a prison '' Our goldmine.''

'' A middle school??'' Kyoufu asked incredulously, Tatsuo taking her hand and entering the place

They talk with the students first where a part of them were active on their secret forum and know who was who. There were two teachers, one of them a victim of domestic violence and another being harassed by his in-laws for money. They also find 150 students that had problems from bullying, neglect and being dirty poor.

From there they stopped at the convenience stores where Soushi,Katsuki and Kyoufu worked part-time. Then the local hospitals where they didn't even finish half of them before night fall over them and they returned back at the Base.

They will have some rough weeks.

They weren't expected to find the front door destroyed though.
