Chapter 2: Alright... Let's farm~

"*Yawwnnn~* Best sleep ever! *Phew ~* I could get used to this~. But... I definitely need to make a bed or something. Even though this ground feels nice, a bed is still the most ideal."

I said as I got up from the ground and stretched my limbs a little.

"Hm~. It seems that I have slept for a whole day and night, it's already morning again."

I mumbled to myself as I watched the beautiful scene playing in front of my eyes.

The two "twin star", or so I like to call it, are already beginning to rise as the surroundings are gradually getting brighter with their glow. Though they're blue, their light is still warm and more comfortable than the sun rays on Earth.

"*Sigh~* This world is great. I can tell it already. Welp. Time to start my day right. Let's go find some food and freshen up a little. But first... I'll drink some of that water from yesterday. It's just too addicting after all. Guess this will replace and quench my thirst for soft drinks!"

I said as I happily went back into the cave, passing through the water curtain in the process, getting myself an unnexpected bath.

"Fuuuu~! The water feels good. Guess I have found a convenient way for showering~!"

I happily said as I continue to let the water fall over my body.

It feels really great as I can feel even my mind relaxing, washing away my weariness.

After a while, I continue towards the deeper parts of the cave and came out of the tunnel, arriving beside the water pool.

I took a couple of mouthfuls.

"Fuuu~. This water is really addicting. Anyway. Guess it's time to find food. And I also better try and familiarise myself with the surroundings."

I said and once again made my way out of the cave.

Now standing on the rock platform, looking over the gigantic pool of water down below and the surrounding forest from such a high vantage point.

If it was in the past, I think I would surely be trembling by now and will immediately develop a phobia. But now, it feels just too natural. I'm too calm even with such height. Advantages of being a dragon I guess? Yep, probably. It can also attribute to my unique skill, right?

Oh well. Either are fine for me. It's better this way after all.

"Now how to do this~. Just... Flap my wings?"

I said and tried flapping them and it actually worked smoothly!

It felt so natural that it's as if I have been doing this for all my life! Even though I'm pretty sure that I definitely don't have wings or even a tail! Well, except for my little brother down there... But I prefer to call it my third leg, and not a tail.

Now that I think about it... How do dragons even mate?

I looked down at myself, specifically my rear. And I found nothing, just my scale armor. No such thing as a hole or even the sign of my little brother. Though I'm sure that I won't really use my ass as I can turn everything I eat into pure energy, it still feels a little weird. And the question still stands. How do dragons mate?

After thinking for a while and still couldn't come up with a reasonable and logical answer, I gave up.

"*Sigh!* I'll think about it some other time or I can just ask the other dragons when I meet them later. For now, it's time to fly! Seems that I will finally realise one of every boys' dream!"

I said and happily started spreading my two pairs of majestic wings wide and let them feel the air.

"Okay. Now, for the next step."

I said and looked ahead with determination.

I ran with all my might and jumped of the platform as hard as I could!

"Yeah! And now, start flapping!"

I exclaimed and began flapping my wings. At first it felt a little awkward but I got used to it immediately and got the right timing as I began to stay afloat in the air for more than one hundred meters from the ground.

I put some strength on my wings and lunged forward with a dive!

I fell through the air as I felt the wind brushing through my cheeks intensely!

I spread my wings to slow down my momentum and turned to another direction and began gliding.

After a while when the water is just about fifteen meters below, I started flapping my wings and trully began flying!

I soared through the air as I get higher and higher in altitude and even went past the cave!

But it seems that my limit is one hundred and fifty meters as I can't seem rise even further, well... That's only for now. As soon as I evolve to the next phase, I'm sure my altitude limit will increase!

So I made my way down and glided to the ground.

"It's time to finish my first objective. Let's hunt for food."

I said as I slowly descended and scanned the surroundings at the same time. It just so happens that some type of beasts are already by the side of the pool, drinking water.

"Hehe~! First preys~."

I grinned to myself as I flapped my wings in their direction at rapid speed.

"It's time to test some of my other innate abilities."

I said and began to gather mana towards my mouth as I also felt my chest getting warm and is also sending that warm energy towards my mouth.

Feeling these changes, I grinned widely.

It seems that not only flight, even my other innates also felt natural, like a muscle memory!

As I approached at high speed, it seems that I have alerted them as they began running, fleeing in every direction.

"Oh no you don't!"

[Fireball!]

I unconsciously uttered as flames gathered in my mouth immediately as it flew towards my preys at high speeds that even made the air currents chaotic!

The fireball hit the beast and it collapsed without putting anymore struggles.

"Eh~! It seems that my flames are more powerful than I thought! Or is it just, the beast is too weak? Meh. No matter. I better get the others too. It won't be nice to let my precious food escape, it would be a waste after all."

I said and flew towards the direction where the others ran off to.

I did the same and sent my fireballs their way and they died like the first one without question.

"Mhm~! Great! Now let's try my Inventory!"

I said and landed on the ground smoothly. Well, I made sure to first land carefully. i wouldn't want the scenario of stumbling on the ground after landing after all~. I'm not like those idiotic protagonists!

I walked towards the first one that I shot to death and got a clear look of it.

It looks like some kind of deer but bigger that almost reaches three meters and with a set deadlier looking horns with sharp spikes on it's shoulders. Aside from those, it looks like a typical deer.

"Hm~. This guy looks dangerous to say the least. I wonder how the other beasts looks like... Maybe with even more scarier and more spikes and sharp horns than this one? Hm. That's a possibility~. Well, for now. Let's try this."

I raised my tail and lightly touched the deer with the blade on my tail. Actually, looking carefully... My tail really resembles a spear. But with more blades and looks more cooler.

Anyways. Enough of that.

[Store.]

I said, but nothing happened.

"Eh? Hm~. Maybe it uses a different phrase. Hm."

"Still no? How about..."

[Retrieve.]

"Eh~?! How does this thing work~?!"

I loudly exclaimed. Did the goddess trolled me?

"Wait. Let's calm down for a sec. Hm~. Let's see, from the novels I have read. All they have to do is to think about storing the object or item... And then... That's it!"

I once again said. But this time, I clearly pictured it in my mind of storing the deer, keeping it in a separate space. And it worked!

The deer's carcass is nowhere to be seen~!

"Alright! Now that that's solved... Let's try some different approaches with the others."

I said and once again took off as the others are in different directions. Haist, talk about troublesome.

After with that little experiment of mine. I have learned the ins and outs of my Inventory.

First. It can be either stored or be taken out via my intent.

Second. It can be either through voice commands or juat through thinking. So O don't actually really need to say [Store] all the tome I store something, which I find really convenient.

And third. I don't exactly have to be in contact with the things I want to store as I can do it even without touching. But with a certain limit in range. I can store things remotely from a maximum distance of ten meters, which is a really great thing if uou ask me.

After taking all the spoils, I took off the ground and flew upwards, towards the direction of my cave.

"Now then. I don't really like the idea of eating raw meat, even if I am a dragon. So I guess, I'll roast it a little bit with my flames?"

I said as I faced the deer meat infront of me. It has already been dismantled the moment it was stored inside my Inventory. I don't know how it actually works, but it did explain that the excess materials from all the carcasses have been "recycled" and turned into a form of energy to strength my body.

Well, I didn't really mind as I know it will benefit me more than I can imagine, so I just let it be.

Gathering mana towards my mouth, crimson colored flames were ejected from my snout and I made it function like a flame thrower. I lowered the temperature as much as I can thoigh. After all, I don't want it to be burned into charcoal like what happened earlier.

The parts where my fireball hit were all turned into black, solid matter, just like charcoal.

The meat began cooking at still a fast rate even though I've already lowered the power of my flames. But it's still good as even in this case, I can control it really well not to burn it.

After a while, a delicious, tantalising scent of cooked meat permeated the air as it entered my nose, causing me to gulp my saliva and my stomach to growle.

"Fuuuu~! Finally finished! Let's eat~."

I took a large bite, it's hot, but not enough to burn my tongue. Wait a minute, it wouldn't! Even if I eat flames directly! Hahaha~! Now I can be like Natsu!

The meat juice immediately spread in my mouth, awakening every single one of my taste buds!

The meat was so tender and soft, it felt like it can just melt in my mouth the moment it touches my tongue!

I took another bite, chewing it slowly to savor it more. But it seems that my stomach disagrees with it. So without further hesitation, I took rapid bites of the meat, finishing half of it immediately. It was just too good that it felt like I can swallow my tongue along with the meat if there isn't more!

After a while, finishing a great and hearty meal, I laid down by the side after drinking water from the pool.

*BURP~~~!*

I let out a satisfied burp, as I savored the remaining taste in my mouth.

"Fuuuuu~. That meal is great. And I can already feel the effects of it."

I said as I can clearly feel my stomach getting warm. The warm feeling began spreading into every parts of my body, making me even more comfortable, almost making me want to sleep again. Maybe this is the energy that was mentioned, it's making me really sleepy though. I shook my head, driving away my drowsiness.

"It's not the time for naps yet. Let's see what changed in my status."

I said as I continued looking. There's no changes aside from my stats, not even an additional skill.

"Now that I think about it... How exactly can I get skills? By doing it like "The Gamer's"? Let's try it then..."

I said and looked towards my side. There, I found a stone sized crystal, emitting faint glow.

I concentrated my mind on what I want to do and...

I said as I fixed myself to a comfortable position, completely forgotten about my earlier drowsiness.
