Second Meeting

William

Another Friday had arrived, and as usual, William was occupied with meeting appointments, reviewing documents, and responding to emails.

He looked up at his PA, Nielsan, entering his office.

"Boss, your meeting with Santa Knoxin'G Inc. will start in 5 minutes." 

He has a meeting with his new business partner for a new project in town today.

"Everyone is here?"

"Yes Boss."

"Cool, let's go."

All the related stakeholders are already waiting for the CEO of Mitch StarStark Group. William entered the meeting room and greeted everyone.

"Good morning, everyone. Let's start the meeting right away.''

Upon sitting in his designated chair, his eyes stop at the woman who is seated at exactly opposite of him. 'Did I meet this woman before? She looks familiar.' He blinked his eyes, still looking at her.

"Mr. Mitch, before we start, let me introduce Ms. Naomi Garrod; she will be the new person in charge and representative from Santa Knoxin'G Inc. for our business collaboration." The person seated next to her voluntarily introduced the women to everyone in the room.

"Okay, understand." William looked up at her and seemingly not showing any hint of surprised.

Naomi smiled and looked at him. "Let's work together as a team from today onward, Mr. Mitch." He nodded at her in agreement. 

The meeting starts with Mitch's project manager presenting their progress on the project.

'Now I remember who she was. The crazy woman who hits my wife buttocks. What a coincidence, huh?'

William pulled out his phone and texted Nielson while listening to the team progress update presentation. 

'Nielsan, the crazy person that hit my car last week is sitting in front of me right now. Did she pay the bill?' 

'Not yet, Boss.'

'Why?'

'Let me follow up with her PA right away.'

'You better do'

William put his phone away and looked up at Naomi, who was currently focused on the presentation, with a smirk on his lips.

However, up until this moment, William still doesn't have any clue that Naomi was his best friend, Ashton's ex-fiancée. He is aware that Ashton was once engaged; he might have heard her name before but forgotten it. Understandable, he never met Ashton's ex-fiancé before either. Thanks to his long absence from the country since he was young, he only returned home two years ago. He have missed out many important occasions happened in his circled after he graduated from college. His three best friend returned to country after they graduated and he choose to stay overseas to worked with his father on new business ventures.

After the meeting ended, he stood up and walked closer to Naomi. He pulled out his right hand to shake her hand as a business deal gesture.

"My PA will submit the car repair bill to your office. You didn't forget what you did to me last Friday, didn't you?'' William smiled politely at her and subsequently walked out of the meeting room without looking back.

Naomi

This is her first official business meeting after returning to the country a week ago. Her parents made her the new Group Chief Operating Officer of their family business companies. After taking a three-year absence from work and enjoying solo travel around the world, she now has no more excuses to rebuke her parents wishes to work for the family.

She represented the company at a meeting with the Mitch StarStark Group today. When Mitch's CEO made his entrance into the meeting room, she was surprised to find that he was the owner of the car that she knocked off a week ago. He even brought her to the hospital after she knocked out in the aftermath of the accident. 

'There he goes. Looking gorgeous.' LOL

After the car crash incident happened and that's was their first meeting, she showed interest in looking for him. For the first time in forever, she was interested in one man. 

She tried to focus on the meeting, but she could not bring her eyes to look away from him. 'Damn eyes, stop it.' Put aside his annoyingly handsome face, tall, seemingly muscular and sexy physical appearance, she also found him very interesting. 

After the meeting ended, she saw William stand up and walk nearer to her. He suddenly pulled out his right hand to shake her hand.

'Oh, okay. What is the meaning of this shake-hand gesture?' Naomi speaks to herself inwardly.

However, she didn't expect his next words to her at all. 

"My PA will submit the car repair bill to your office. You didn't forget what you did to me last Friday, didn't you?'' He smiled at her and walked out of the meeting room without waiting for her to react to his statement.

'What the hell? Just like that? He looks strikingly handsome. Arrghhhh. Why did my heart race like this? Did I fall in love with him?' Naomi tried to maintain her calm composure.

"Ms. Garrod, are you okay?" Her PA interrupted her inward emotions.

"Yes, I'm okay. Let's go back to the office. And please check if I have received any bills from William Mitch."

"Noted, Ms. Garrod."

She left Mitch's office with something that she might never get over. LOL
