Chapter 3: Meeting again after four years

After Amelia was done with the day's work, she thought of what she could do to make Olivia feel so frustrated and bad that she'd leave the company soon and also to never appear in her life again.

Ever since Olivia had showed up, Amelia had felt really uneasy. What if Olivia gets all the good things again? What if she lost all that she'd worked so hard to take away from Olivia? She couldn't let that happen, it just couldn't happen.

Amelia thought for a while before she finally decided. In a situation like this, Kenan was the best choice. She was so sure he was Olivia's weakness. She brought her phone and called Kenan to come pick her up.

'Let's see how you're gonna stand me being with Kenan.' She thought and grinned.

Amelia hung up after telling Kenan to come pick her up, she then walked around to look for Olivia. When she finally saw Olivia, she brought out her phone and immediately started a pretense call, talking loud enough for Olivia to hear.

"You'll come pick me up?... I love you so much...I don't want to interrupt your work...You'd do anything for me? Thanks Kenan...I love you more...I'd be waiting..muah." Amelia blew a kiss and pretended to hang up. "Kenan really loves me." She added and smiled.

Olivia actually heard everything Amelia said over the phone. When she heard Kenan's name, her heart skipped a beat. It had been four years now...since she saw the first and the only man she had ever loved, the man who left her when she needed him the most. His name still had such an effect on her. She had tried to stop loving him years ago, but it was not all that easy.

Amelia was happy seeing the effect her pretense had on Olivia. It would even be more interesting when Olivia saw her hugging Kenan, she couldn't wait.

Kenan arrived about fifteen minutes later. Immediately Amelia sighted him, she went to him and hugged him. Kenan returned the hug and gave her a quick kiss.

"Hope you didn't wait long?" He asked.

"It's fine since you are here now." She replied.

The others who saw the scene were already used to Amelia and her boyfriend public display of affection.

Many were envious of Amelia. She was famous, with both a rich and affluent father and a wealthy and quite famous handsome boyfriend. What more could a lady ask for?

Olivia was probably the only one not used to the scene. Kenan had gotten more handsome over the years. The scene her eyes met with, awakened the feelings she'd tried to bury years ago. It brought them surging back and her heart felt pain. She couldn't deny it, she was still not over it. It's been four years now, why couldn't she get over it?

She braced herself up. She had to work past the two lovers to leave the company and she didn't want to give both Kenan and Amelia the impression that she still cared. She carried her purse, brushed strands of hair off her face and walked closer to the exit.

"You are really not going to do it, are you?"

"I'm joking."

That was what she heard when she walked closer to them. She didn't plan on interrupting and also hoped there wouldn't be any reason to stop. But she didn't get lucky, just when she was about to walk past them...

"Olivia.."

She heard that very familiar voice. She could identify it anywhere.

"Oh yes! Kenan, I was about telling you. She's the new actress that joined our company." Amelia said while holding Kenan's hand.

Kenan was surprised, shocked infact. He had never expected to see Olivia again. It had been four years now and he never saw her anywhere. It was like she disappeared to never appear again. But, he was seeing her? It was a pleasant surprise and he didn't know why, but it was nice to see her after such a long time. Olivia had become more beautiful and she was an actress too?

"It's nice to see you again." He said.

"Oh! Yeah. Hi." Olivia said and was about to leave.

"Hold on..." he said and held back the urge to hold her. "How have you been?" He asked.

"I've been fine, as you can see." She replied.

"Olivia, you are being rude." Amelia said, trying to find fault in Olivia to reasons why Kenan would dislike her the more.

"'xcuse me, but, I gotta go." She said and immediately walked away

'She has....changed.' Kenan thought.

"Kenan, don't get upset with Olivia's rude attitude." Amelia said.

"She wasn't being rude, I can't get upset." He said and smiled.

"Let's go then."
