Chapter 9

Anna was staying at Noah's house and they even insisted me to stay with them as it was too late but I decided to come back home. I was feeling sick after all of it that happened but at least I knew that Steve was with my best friend not with some another random girl. I was too tired to think about anything or to call Steve or Amelia and I passed out.

Next morning when I got up there were a few messages from Steve:

Hi baby! Sorry for my stupidity yesterday I should've called you. I'm really sorry and I wanted to tell u that I'm going to Aspen with my family for 4 days so I won't be coming to pick u up.

And I know it's your birthday on Friday and I'll be back by Thursday night so I'll be there with u:)

I was pissed off by this kind behavior of him.

I dressed up early so that I can get a rap from a cafe. I locked my house and went to my car and my phone started to ring. I thought it was Steve but it was Anna.

"Hi Anna. Sup?"

"Babe can you come to my house and pick me up today?"

"Yeah sure. I'll come."

"And be fast I'm making pancakes for us."

"Okk I'll be there."

"See you then. "

I reached at Anna place within five minutes as she lives near by. I parked my care and Anna came out by listening to the horn. She came and hugged me.

"Oh Maya! You don't even have any idea how much I've missed you since last night."

"Why? Were you bored with Noah."

"No. Actually Steve came last night like after five minutes when you left. I was going to call you but he told me that he'll be going to your house."

"Oh. But he didn't come. He just messaged me that he's going to Aspen for some days."

"Ok. Now you make yourself comfortable I'll get the pancakes."

I sat on the sofa and checked my phone there were some messages from Tessa and Steph. And I realised I haven't meet them since a long time.

I had my breakfast with Anna and she told me that Noah has left early for the football match today and we also decided to have my birthday party at my place.

I didn't have anything interesting to do in the school today as Anna was on the field cheering for Noah and Steve was not there. I was with Camellia in my classes and some of the spares. But she's a introvert person and likes to be alone.

After school I went home and called mom and dad to ask when they're gonna be back.

"Hi mom."

"Hi my baby girl. How are you?"

"Mom I'm good. What about you and dad?"

"We're good Maya. Wait talk to your dad."

"Hi daddy."

"How you're doing Maya?"

"Quite well dad. When you both are coming back."

"Most probably on Saturday night darling."

"Dad it's my birthday on Friday."

"I know dear. And I'm sorry but the property signing is on Friday."

"Its fine dad. I'll talk to you later."

Before he could have said something I hanged up the call. I was very upset first Steve and now my parents.

The whole week until Thursday was lame. As Anna and Noah were busy in football and Camillea took the standard studies. I was alone for the most of the time. I meet Tessa, Steph and Amelia once but we didn't talked about Steve.

Finally on Thursday me Anna, Noah and Camellia were meeting up at my place to plan my party.
