Chapter 1

This is fucking crazy! This is my first year for the high school and all my friends are going to St. Stephens but of course my parents don't want me to be happy so they are admitting me to St. Teresa which is the most popular school in New York and according to my parents I need to be in this school to make it in my life. But I really don't give a fuck about that. I've been separated from all my friends even though if we can meet on weekends but still this year is gonna be totally different till I make some friends. So St. Teresa was quite beautiful when I entered there all the students were busy in their own stuffs and nobody really cared that I was new over there. I had my timetable and luckily the the class was quite easy to find and I didn't have to ask anyone. Our class was too big and elegant and I loved it. I hoped to sit on the first bench but unfortunately it was already reserved so I sat on the third one beside a boy. That boy was busy with his phone and I don't think he noticed me. Our professor was good and taught us well. After this class I had a spare and decided to go to the library. And to be honest I'm a mess and ran into a boy. Shit! This is the same boy whom I sat with in the class. And I just said "I'm so sorry.. I didn't intentionally did that. I.. " and he interrupted me "Oh! There is no need of a sorry and I'm totally ok."

" Thank God!"

" So you're new in St. Teresa?"

" Yes! Actually my dad loves this school and wanted me to study over here." I said in a low tone.

"So you didn't wanted to come over here?"

"To be honest, No. All my friends are in Stephens and I wanted to be with them. "

"Oh! But it's ok. I know you will make new friends over here soon. " he said with a huge smile.

That smile! Which is now my favorite thing about him, that smile was so good and attractive, it melted me.

"Hey! what happened?" he said tapping my shoulder.

"Umm. nothing."

" So is this your spare too"

"Yes." I said it in an exited tone I hope he didn't miss took it.

" So wanna join me in the school cafe? "

And I said yes because it was my first day in this school and didn't have a lot to do and after all how could I deny to his offer. Oh wait! I didn't even asked his name.

" By the way what's your name?" we both said the same line on the same time. And stared laughing.

" So my name is Maya Francis."

" And I'm Steve Harrington."

And after that we both walked to the cafe and he told me more about this school and so on. When we reached the cafe there was a group already sitting over there and Steve joined them and he signaled me to join them too. He introduced me to his friends Anna, Mason, Noah, Chase and Camellia. All of them were too good.

"So your dad is in army Maya?" Noah asked.

"Yes but he is retiring this month and going back to India with mom. "

"Wow that's great means you will be all alone without your parents restrictions." Camellia exclaimed.

" Yes. And if you want you all can anytime join me over. "

We all talked about many things like the summers were approaching so what all we should do and I do felt like a part of there group. And we all decided to meet today at my house and have fun as today was Monday and both mom and dad would not be there as they have to go to the church services.

Later that day in the school I realized that me and Steve share the same timetable and we were together most of the time. And got to know that we have a lot of similarities.

So after the school we all decided to meet up till 7:30 so that my parents aren't there. As soon as I reached home I cleaned up all my mess and mom was surprised to see my behavior and I told her that some of my friends are coming over. My dad was very happy to know that I have made new friends and I'm comfortable in Teresa. It was almost 6 pm when I got the call from Amelia she was my best friend since 7 years.

"Hi Maya!"

"Hi Amelia!! I missed you."

"Missed you too and that's why me Charlie, Tessa, Steph and George have decided to meet at your place today as its Monday and your parents won't be there."

"I would have loved that my love but actually my new school friends are coming over today so can we please do it some other time like next week because my parents are leaving for India."

"So now you have new friends. But ok it's fine I'll talk to you later. Byee."

And she hung up the phone and I was surprised that she didn't even asked how was my day and she didn't even talked to me properly and actually I could have called them over too and we all could have fun.

I tried to call Amelia and she didn't responded but finally she did at the tenth go.

"Amelia I think you people can also join us and we all can have fun?"

"Maya don't over think I'm not mad at you and it's fine if you want to be with them."

"Why are you reacting like this? And why do you have a mindset that I won't make new friends because I can't stay all alone in a new school and this group is so good just like ours and they all are very good! "

"I don't want any explanations and it's totally fine. And I think I was the one who was overreacting and I'm sorry you should definitely spend some time with them."

"I love you bro and thanks for understanding. "

We both talked about half an hour and I told her everything what happened today.

It was almost 8 and no one showed up. I thought that they won't be coming and decided to wait for sometime or I'll have my dinner.

It was 8:30 and finally I got up to change and have my dinner. As I went upstairs the bell rang and I rushed down and my leg twisted and fell from the stairs. I was bleeding and I shouted terribly in pain and my friends were trying to call me out. Somehow I managed to take myself till the door and I opened it. I was feeling too dizzy and I fell on someone and it was a total black out for me. When I opened my eyes I was lying on my bed and Steve was sitting there holding my hand.
